Here are the details: I still remember the day in kindergarten when I was working with my son on his letter combination sounds, and he put his head down on the table-- "Mommy -- why is this SO hard.." it broke my heart to see him so sad. That's when I knew we had to figure this out. We'd had him at a Montessori school, but he was still struggling with writing basic words or putting together vowel sounds. We knew it wasn't just that he was a slower reader than others; or that it was "because he was a boy." We just knew there was a disconnect somewhere and it was clear that he was struggling. We had him tested and learned he was dyslexic. We went looking for help and were fortunate to find Successful Students LLC and Mrs Ame! She is a phenomenal teacher who really loves the kids she helps. We couldn't have found a better tutor for our son and the Wilson tutoring method really helped him learn all the rules.
