This review is specifically regarding the office staff and administrative processes at Learning Tree, and is not a reflection of the clinical or direct services provided. I am leaving this review in hopes that the business owner and staff will use it as an opportunity to improve services for our community. Over the past three months, I made repeated attempts to connect with Learning Tree for an intake appointment. I left multiple voicemails and submitted the online intake form, and received no response at any point. After months of silence, I decided to stop by in person while running errands nearby. When I arrived, the front office was unstaffed. I could hear staff upstairs -- footsteps and conversation -- and called out several times hoping someone would come down to assist me. After waiting several minutes with no response, I called the office phone number. It rang through to voicemail, and still no one came downstairs to answer. When two receptionists eventually came to the front, I explained my three months of unanswered outreach. I was told that my intake form had likely been misrouted to the wrong location and that they had no record of my voicemails. I also noticed that the missed call I had placed while waiting in the lobby was visible on their phone -- yet neither receptionist made any attempt to return that call. I chose not to mention that it was me who had called, as I wanted to observe whether callbacks were part of their standard practice. It appears they are not. While I was being helped, the other receptionist took a phone call. Based on what I overheard, the caller on that line had also been waiting for a callback since November after submitting an interest form. The receptionist acknowledged this and said she would follow up -- though I was unable to confirm whether she did so before I left. I want to be clear: I am not writing this review out of frustration alone. I genuinely hope this feedback reaches the right people and leads to meaningful changes. Families and individuals seeking services from Learning Tree deserve timely communication and a welcoming, staffed front office. I encourage the owner to review intake routing, voicemail monitoring, callback procedures, and front desk coverage so that community members are not left waiting months for a response -- or standing unattended in the lobby. read more

All I experienced is an unorganized office. My son was scheduled to start services on a specific date. They sent an e-mail with a complete different name on the body of the email and my son's name typed in the Subject line. That e-mail read 2 different start dates and when I showed up to the Anaheim Hills Clinic at the time confirmed over the phone, the office staff said he wasn't starting yet. They apologized and said he would start next week with Ms Allison ( I think ) The week after this they called me same day and told me the therapist had a last minute emergency. My son is 4 and has been in speech therapy since he was 2 1/2 and this was the first experience I had with an unorganized office. I was able to move him elsewhere before he began services at this location. Thanks but no thanks. read more

My daughter has improved a lot since she started therapy sessions here. They have therapist here who works with Gestalt language processing such as Miss Ashley. She is great with kids and very helpful, always tries different things to help improve my daughter's language. It has been great and my daughter loves coming here. read more

Pros: Staff is kind, they had one appointment left out of all the other offices near me who were fully booked with long waiting lists Cons: Chaotic, busy, disorganized We started out at avid speech therapy in fountain valley which was AMAZING. The therapists worked one on one with my son and really taught me a lot of skills and techniques to use at home. The sessions were thorough, fun, relaxed, and helpful and my son was able to really connect with his therapist. Learning tree had 2-3 people in my sons very short sessions (therapists and students) Therapists coming in and out of the room, causing interruptions, and it felt very chaotic and unorganized. And before we even began therapy, we were made to wait around 2 months for an insurance authorization. I kept calling to follow up on this and was told the person who runs authorizations was out sick and that this could take several weeks. When I finally reached them again, they said my son could begin therapy and did not need authorization after all.. So his therapy was put off for 2 months because of a mistake on their part. This was not the right place for us and I would not personally recommend this office to family and friends for these reasons. read more

My child has been working with Miss Ashley Fermin for nearly a year now. She is patient, kind, thoughtful, and creative. My child enjoys going to speech with her. I love that I get to observe their work in action and can ask questions and advice as she teaches. I have been to multiple speech facilities but learning tree therapy in Anaheim Hills is unmatched. When you walk in Ms Trish and Ms Claudia make the kiddos feel so welcomed. The speech therapist are very knowledgeable and great with my daughter who has been attending for over a year. They are very helpful and work with your schedule. My son has received services for speech over the past two years with different vendors. Over the two years we have experienced just about everything from textbook style methods to creative flexible approaches. We've also seen different personalities from rigid communication styles to unassertive styles which have had varying degrees of effectiveness. I am grateful to have come across Miss Yvonne. She has a flexibility about her approach that is very effective with my son. She knows how to connect and get my son's full attention which is difficult to achieve. She knows when to be assertive and she adjusts when necessary. She has a strong intuition and reads body language well, which allows her to effectively move on to the next exercise. read more

Learning tree therapy took over Anaheim Hills speech and language center early 2023 i believe and the place has since turned into a nightmare. No longer a welcoming feeling when you walk into the office. Very corporate now. Billing is a disaster. I paid my copay every week and still recieved bills every fews months saying i owed money. Ladies at the front desk couldnt give me an answer or explain why. My son has been attending for 1 year. We drive from Eastvale to attend here, because it is well worth the drive. When my son started at 2 years old he had no interest in wanting to talk or speak the english language at all. By the time he was in the speech program for 8 months his vocabulary increased so much and he was talking a lot. He was saying 5 word sentences, it was a complete turn around. Now this year he is in the program going on 15 months and his speech and words are sounding more clear. This is an area he struggled in. I am very happy we pick Learning Tree Therapy, we have meet all the speech therapist here and they all do a great job on getting the kids to where they need to go. My son works a lot with his speech therapist Miss Ashley and Miss Caroline and they are both very good therapist who are very patient with him and have helped my son to reach his speech goals. Also My son loves working with them and enjoys his me time with them twice a week. He has so much fun with them and doesnt even realize hes there learning speech. Miss Melissa is also very good at making sure my son feels comfortable in the program and making sure hes growing and achieving his goal. I definitely recommend the Learning Tree Therapy to kids or toddlers who are struggling in speech or expressing themselves, this place will definetely give them a push in the right direction. After today's incident I don't know if we will be back! My son started here a few weeks ago and today my 2 year old was having a tantrum and I went up their stairs to bring him down to leave. His therapist Kelly made the comment & I quote "come on I have another appointment" I said "oh I'm sorry you have another child to deal with and we are disrupting that" Kelly then responded with "well my next appointment is in 30 mins. First of all I was being sarcastic as her comment was very unprofessional as I'm trying to calm my TODDLER down! Second of all why even make the comment if you don't have anyone waiting? Our son Blake was born 9.5 weeks early at 3lbs 5 oz. From the beginning we've struggled with having him catch up on several on several things. Ie Motor skills, speech, eye contact. My wife and I have our two boys receiving speech therapy. Our oldest is 4 years old and has been attending for about a year. He has made tremendous improvement in his ability to speak. The speech therapists he regularly sees are great. They are very patient and make the sessions fun.They also are very creative in teaching proper social setting speaking situations. Our 19 month old has only been attending for 4 months. Although it's been a short period we have seen great improvement in his ability to verbalize few words. Again the therapist he sees is very creative and make it fun. Prior to Anaheim hills speech we had our oldest boy attend a different speech therapy location. It wasn't flexible with scheduling and appeared too impersonal. When you walk into Anaheim hills speech you are welcomed by a friendly receptionist. She will assist you with any schedule changes and tries her best to accommodate you. The owner of Anaheim hills speech took the time to hear our concerns with our boys prior to starting their first session. She sincerely cares about the services every child receives. We cannot express how happy we chose this center to help our 3 year old son with his speech. All the staff here have been very friendly, patient, and kind with our son, and the other children that are here. The facility is clean, well kept, and has a few toys for other siblings to play while waiting. They offer a tablet and headphones to watch and listen to your child being taught, which is really awesome. Parking can be a little limited at times, but the area is very nice and safe. My son has been going to this speech center for eight years now (he is severely apraxic) and my daughter went for a short time as well. Katherine, the director, is so very professional in everything she does! Because of her knowledge, my son has made great progress. He was non-verbal and used a device at four years old.
