If I can give this place 0 stars and still write a review I most definitely would. The entire time I looked around the employee (older woman) complained every time a child took out a toy if it wasn't put back correctly. Additionally she sat the front talking to the younger employee telling her "I don't want these people tearing up my store". First of all ma'am it's a toy store. Kids should come in to have fun and be able to look around without you complaining out loud "you don't want these people to tear up your store". What an amazing store! We happened to find it walking around Brookfield square and took our three kids in. We ended up spending almost 2 hours because they have toys out for the kids to try! We loved it because there was something there to hold the attention of all three kids ages 1, 8 and 11! My daughter loved the slime making station, and my boys loved the sports section. Since toys r us closed my kids have never been to a true toy store- so they had a great time. Such a friendly owner- I would recommend everyone go check this out! read more

The customer service was absolutely terrible from the manager, other employees were very respectful. Accused me of something i didn't do and went off yelling at me. i ended up cleaning everything up, which i did not do, and she walked away talking bad about me to other customers. when I go here for slimes they are Good at first. But then when you play with the slime the next day it's stiff and hard. Not even Slime anymore. Im disappointed in learning express. And I'm not buying slime from there again. read more

Check their google reviews- As multiple customers have stated, the owners are terrible people. They have things out on the floor that you can't buy, they'll literally rip it out of your hands at check out and say someone bought it online then tell you to buy it online- yet it's NOT available online. It's clear the owner is selling the toys on eBay at a higher price due to the squishmallow demand. There's multiples reviews talking about how rude and crazy she is and how I'm not the only one this has happened to regarding them refusing to sell their product because they sold it online already. Ownership/management is terrible. Called for a limited edition squishmallow that the girl who answers the phone said that they have ten of. She put me on"hold" left the phone on the counter and talked to the owner who hadn't decided how or who she was selling them to yet but told the employee she could buy one. I was willing to pay on the phone and drive two hours but clearly they have other plans for their products. Shady business dealings and owner. Don't waste your money on this small business. This review is going to be focusing on their sales of Squishmallows because that is all that I've purchased (or tried to) from this business. Their product is great, that is, if you're able to buy it. The way that they handle selling items is just ridiculous. The owner and staff members keep their product restocks a secret by only telling their favorite customers. Even if they do have the items in stock they will not sell to you unless they like you. They make up limits depending on the person who is purchasing. They hide items in the back and behind the counter and only bring them out for people that they want. Don't even try to ask them because they will yell at you or get an attitude for you even inquiring about what they have. I understand it's stressful that so many people are interested in squishmallows right now. I understand that they probably get so many phone calls each day. As a business owner it is your choice to stock these items and it is your choice in the end to be a great place where people can buy them. Unfortunately this isn't a great place to purchase. Went to the learning express toy shop to kill some time while we waited for a different store to open. When we walked in we were the only people there yet were not greeted what so ever. We were browsing the toys when one of the people I was with picked up one toy to look at better and set it down. The lady working started following us around at this point and asked us if we were going to be buying anything in a very rude tone. We've shopped here quite a bit over the years for our own kids, Christmas, birthday gifts, etc. However recently we stopped in to return two Christmas gifts we received duplicates of. We had a hard time with the return. The store said they couldn't find the purchase on our account, which I know we "logged" upon purchase at Christmas time. They ended up giving us in store credit which we promptly spent and then some. My son was bummed he didn't like the color of the putty he purchased when he opened it. We asked if we could exchange - receipt in hand, original packaging in hand, we hadn't even used it, only opened it. We were told we couldn't return, we couldn't exchange and with lots of attitude. By the time we left, my son was in tears. We ended up buying replacement putty at The Learning Shop just down Bluemound Rd. That is where we'll make all our toy purchases from here on out. Very disappointed in how they treated a mumma with four kiddos in tow. read more
