It's the perfect place to pick up a candy gift or to treat yourself. The real magic is at the counter, they have homemade chocolate-dipped fruit, pretzel rods, licorice, turtles, sea salt caramels, and many other treats. They even have an ice cream case! The staff is always helpful too. When I stopped in they were running a special on their chocolate-covered strawberries, and of course I couldn't resist. They were fresh and delicious! Small selection of non-chocolates available as well (and where I discovered freeze dried candy) but chocolate is where they definitely excel. The staff here is always friendly and helpful too. If you're a chocolate fan and in the Tosa area, a stop into Ultimate Confections is worth your time.

I also can't elaborate much on the shop itself as this tube of popcorn was a Christmas gift. That's okay because it's what I thought of the popcorn that matters, right? Before I share my thoughts, let me clarify what caramel corn actually is. Standard popcorn is mixed with a heated caramelized candy syrup and allowed to cool. Depending on the manufacturer, the caramel corn is sometimes baked in an oven after mixing to increase the crispness. L&P takes there version up a notch by splashing in some sea salt. Although the sea salt is not the strongest, I do have to say that this is still one of the better caramel corns that I've had. It's sweet, crispy, crunchy, and tough to put down. I'm just disappointed I didn't receive one of their more exciting flavors as the website lists: Birthday Cake, Cookie & Cream, Caramel Cold Brew, Peanut Butter Cup, French Toast, and S'mores. In addition, I requested they attached my prepared personal note of the event AND a description of each of the chocolate pieces in the box ... and color code, via ribbon, so I knew the difference between the two. Decided to give it a try, and we were not disappointed. RJ's is not on the street, but tucked away in the Mill Place building, which holds other businesses. The ice cream counter is toward the rear of the store. They serve Cedar Crest ice cream. Not a large collection, but we found some of our favorites. Got a friendly greeting from the young woman behind the counter. We got a mix of different items. I got a double scoop in a sugar cone, and others got a hot fudge sundae and a Cream Soda Float (Sprecher brand). While with limited ice cream selection, it was a very good experience.
