So happy to see Mindstorms still being made. If you have curious kids of any age,it's well worth the investment!

I love Lego and hate paying bills, so I come here to spend money. Sounded like a great idea. Truthfully, some of the sets are very expensive, but the joy they bring is priceless. Aside from sets there are individual pieces available and build your own Lego people. I can't say anything bad about a store dedicated to Lego.

Cute store with fun displays (how about adding something Milwaukee specific in the displays ??) and lots of speciality lego (mini size) kits (Simpsons, Star Wars, etc). I think they were really lacking in duplo size lego options. They have one building area for kids and a place to customize little lego people (3 for $9.99).

Great selection of Legos and even greater customer service. It's definitely worth the trip to Mayfair Mall to visit this Lego Store.

Think more of the one of a kind finds instead of where to go for the coveted toy of the season. Prices are higher than the mass produced department stores, but you won't find most of these items elsewhere. Many handmade and customized accessories and clothes. Fun colors, designs and textures. It's small, cozy and welcoming. Friendly and helpful staff without being pushy. They have toys and clothes for all ages, both boys and girls. Due to the size of the store, they may not have the exact size of the item you like available but ask and they will try to get it for you. As a…read moretoy collector, a lover of the unique, an Uncle of 10 and a new proud parent, I thought this place would be right up my alley. Don't believe the hype folks. "Not your run of the mill kids stuff" Reality- It's true, it's damn true. They have toys in here that I didn't even know existed. It's stuff that you won't see on the shelves at your local big box or even regular toy stores. As far as gifting goes, if you buy something from here, you won't have to worry about someone else getting the same gift. These toys are pretty cool, and that's the problem- I think they're pretty cool. Will your kid think they're cool? Probably not. Take for example the line of Fischer Price "Retro" toys they carry. They caught my eye right away, they're the toys we used to play with, like the rotary telephone with the goofy eyes on it or the record player with the plastic records. It's a great gift to get the adults in the room talking, but lets be honest, what kid knows what a record player or rotary phone is? So why would they play with it? Most kids wake up in the morning, eat their Lucky Charms to get their Spongebob toy out of the box, put on their Spider-Man shoes and Batman shirt to go to Legoland for a McDonalds Happy Meal lunch featuring Hot Wheels toys. They have barely anything that has a license. Just some small Hello Kitty toys. Anything that's not on a Saturday morning cartoon could get you mean mugs from little ones. That's not saying they don't have anything the kiddies wouldn't like. They have two racks of small toys and accessories that are expensive, but are the perfect little gifts for party favor bags if you throw a kids party. I might stop back for a few of these around my little ones BDay. "Baby gear and furniture" Reality- Where is this stuff? This store is super small, and outside of a few racks of clothes, all I really see is toys. "Unique Gifts" Reality- I think "Unique" is a code word for "Expensive". I may live cheap, but I have absolutely no problems spending big money on cool stuff, as evidenced by the toys my daughter already owns. But the markup at this place is ridiculous. I saw the clothes, and knowing my daughter needed some onesies, I asked the lady if they had any. She showed me about 3 of them and they were pretty cool. Cool little drawings of animals on the front, 100% organic material, I was sold. I remember thinking that they were so cool, I'd pay $20 for one. I asked the lady how much for this one, she told me "37.50"! 37 bucks? My jaw dropped. Does she realize that a baby is just going to make a mess of this onesie for six months? Maybe if my wife and I were Kim and Kanye we could do this, but I have a hard time believing that in a blue collar city like this a store with so little to offer continues to exist. Bottom line- Good for rich Grandparents, Aunts or Uncles to get the kids in their lives some toys that are nice to look at but probably won't be played with, but bad for parents.

Not my full time job but I do love going into odd and ends stores to find a specific item. It's the thrill of the find that I chase for. So every time my husband and I are vacationing across the country, we spend a little bit of that time to find vintage shops like this one to find what is needed for his collection or others. I've been in search for a 2017 Mighty Morphin Red Ranger, made by Bandai, and is part of their "Build a Zord" collection, for about 5 years now. For whatever reason, my husband missed the opportunity to purchase this item when it came out. Time passed and when we finally located that item, the scalpers were selling them for an arm, a leg, and your first born child. I found the exact item on eBay from Make Cents and purchased it as an early Christmas gift for my husband. At a very fair price. I wanted him to go there, stumble across it, then surprise him that I had already purchased it. Plans did not work as the day before we were going on a journey to the establishment, he was whining that I was working on procuring items for everyone but not for his most sought-out item. So I broke the news to him. Make Cents is such a fun store. It's what I would imagine when I think of the best place where all my childhood toys are. Video games, TMNT, Barbie, Rainbow Brite, to wrestling figures, loved and displayed perfectly. The shop is small but so clean. There's also a glass display of all pastel pink items and I can tell you, I wanted each and every item. So nostalgic! The people there take pride in their products and they are aware of the magic this place has. The person who sold the item to us was so kind. He allowed us take our time to look at everything in the shop and was available to answer any questions, even if the shop was closing in 15 minutes. This establishment is such a gem and a must-see for all walks of life.

There's a lot to see in this small but well organized space. I look forward to returning and making sure that I didn't miss a thing.

Last week I went in to buy some Easter candy for the kids' Easter baskets. They have an old fashioned candy counter. One of the gals assisted me with countless bags of old fashioned candies. She hand tied each one with ribbon, and was cheerful and upbeat. I wish I could remember her name so I could thank her. I also found bags of retro Easter grass--the shiny raffia kind reminiscent of the version for the 70's! Online showed they might have some in stock, so I called first. The gentlemen I spoke with on the phone was really nice and answered my questions, which made me feel confident enough to stop by in person. When I walked in, though, the in-store experience felt a bit different and on the emptier side. The two employees at the front didn't seem very welcoming and gave off a slightly annoyed vibe. When I asked about the Pokémon cards, they seemed confused about what I was referring to until I mentioned I had called earlier and spoken to someone. They checked with their coworker, who clarified which ones he had told me about. I asked to see the packs they had behind the counter, and the interaction still felt a little tense. That said, I was able to grab the two packs, which ended up being the perfect gift for my cousin, so mission accomplished. Overall, they had what I needed, and I appreciate that the phone service was helpful. I'd probably come back if I really needed something specific, and I'm curious to explore more of what they carry. Just hoping for a warmer in-store customer service experience next time.

They have shelves upon shelves of comics, model kits, etc--I greatly recommend spending some time looking here. The cashier was extremely helpful, showing me around after I asked for some help. Obviously, the main selling point for most people--the prices are great. A figure I would've spent $40+ on Amazon for cost a mere $27.99, as most of their products are retail OR slightly above, by a very slim margin. Additionally, for those who leave low-star reviews; just because your local comic store participates in a day to give FREE product doesn't mean every business has to. You are not entitled to anything of Free Comic Day, it's just that some people offer it. Also, the cat? Why would you pet a sleeping cat? That's pure, unfiltered ignorance--let the poor thing sleep. Also, who goes to a comic store for Anime paraphernalia? What I'm trying to say is, please, don't drop a trip over here because of strange opinions, as the place is definitely worth the trip.
