First timer .. Very friendly, very professional, very detailed, and very busy !!! They can fix windshield chips too, which do not fail your inspections. Cracks across the viewing area probably would. If your wiper is torn it'll fail, but they can replace those as well. They can also replace burned out bulbs. I'll definitely be using this location for years to come. Just had our Inspection done here today. While waiting, a gentleman came up and offered to buff up our headlamps for $50. My husband declined as they're not bad, aged, but not bad. 5 mins later, the other guy comes back and tells my husband that he couldn't pass him due to "foggy headlamps". I usually go to the Sticker Stop down the street, but their hours are extremely limited, and they aren't open on weekends, so I decided to give this spot a try. An employee named Ethan backed someone else's truck into my car in the parking lot and apologized. He said that he would get the insurance info from his supervisor and then the supervisor said they would not accept blame. Then Ethan denied hitting my car even though the damage was clearly visible and I had to call the police who took a report. After the police arrived, Ethan denied hitting my car but previously he had apologized to me and to the owner of the truck after Ethan backed the truck into my car. I've had my eye on this building since I saw it being remodeled. I needed an inspection fast because I didn't remember mine until after every place was closed on the last day of the month. Heading out to my usual inspection place, I see they're open. We pull in and we are greeted at the car. I hand over the paperwork and go inside. Clean. Friendly and fast. And the best part is that it's cheaper than the other place! $28.75 for my sticker. Happy! read more

Not sure what people are complaining about. This is a place to get one thing done and get out. There will be wait times at times because it's walk-in only. I recommend dropping off the car if possible. I didn't find the staff rude at all, and even if they were will did they still not inspect the car and print out the report? That said, I was intially annoyed that I got a fail because I had a broken tail light which I thought wasn't that bad. After thinking about it more, I'm glad this pushed me to find an easy way to fix the light and not have to worry about police pulling me over for the classic broken tail light excuse. This place does their one job well, and were really nice about letting me keep my car parked their during the Leander Christmas festival, which was right next door. read more

I had the worst experience at the sticker stop down the street failing my inspection due to my E brake. After sitting in a brake specialist shop, the auto tech actually lifted my car and showed me that my brakes were just fine. Frustrated, I drove to Leander Inspection Connection and they were so kind to me! I passed the inspection just fine. It made up for the wasted time I spent going to a brake shop. I have used these guys several times and my family has also. I like using smaller local businesses however my son had his car inspected here and needed a lowbeam light. Car was already inspected and everything was ok but a lowbeam. We replaced within 2 hours, went back as instructed ,however they made him wait in line again even though we had already waited 45minutes for the car to be inspected. All we needed was 1 minute for someone say, "yep it works". They hung up on me when I called to ask if they could just check the light is working so he could be on his way. Frigging rude. I will stop and have my family stop going there. Sorry folks "best service wins" they all charge 18.50! read more

There are cleaner inspection stations, there are ones with better parking / drive in areas (this one is full of pot holes), and there are ones a little less costly. But I can deal with that. But poor customer service is not something I can tolerate. And this place does not have the customer first mentality. Maybe they have enough business to not care how they speak to customers. But this will be the last time I use their service. Two years I have used this inspection station for my 3 vehicles. The last time I had a car inspected there I noticed the short, rude, abrupt manner they spoke to me, but I just chalked it up to a bad day (everyone has them). But today it happened again. So I will use another inspection station from here on; I work hard for what I make and I don't see any reason to continue using a customer based business that doesn't see me as a value to their success. AVOID!!! scam with the window tinting as I've had it checked at another location. office smells like a urinal. needed a new windshield wiper, didn't offer to sell on they had in stock there. I've been here several times over the years and they were really bad and went under new ownership which had me coming back, now it looks like they have returned to being bad again. avoid at all costs. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. I have been going here for my auto inspections for many years. The last time I was here I noticed the original people were gone, leading me to think the place had changed hands. Yesterday I took my well-maintained Toyota in. I was called out to the car to see two smaller than 1/2 a pinhead "chips" circled for me to note. Honestly, pinpoints would be more descriptive. I was told the car wouldn't pass inspection without them being fixed. I therefore allowed them to place a claim to my insurance company -- at no cost to me -- and they had (SURPRISE) someone on premise to fix them. They also conned me into new wiper blades. In checking with the DPS website today, it says --- "Will I Fail My Inspection If My Windshield Is Cracked? The windshield is NOT an item of inspection. However, the windshield wipers are. ....." I GOT TAKEN AND SO DID MY INSURANCE COMPANY. I'll be filing a complaint with TXDPS and BBA and whoever else might listen . read more

Horrible customer service. I have a clear UV film on my front window. This film is completely legal. He got in my car to drive it around and into the bay. He did the whole inspection when he went to take my old tag off the window he cut into my clear UV film. Up until that time he was never able to see the film. He decided at that point I was not passing. I tried showing him that this film was purchased at a local Cedar Park tinting place and that it was not illegal. At that point his attitude just got worse. He is completely uneducated about his job and what is legal and illegal. read more

I will never go back to this terrible place!!!!! It smells like urine and looks like crap. I went in to inspect my 1965 Harley Davidson. Everything about my motorcycle should have absolutely no trouble passing any inspection as is has been completely restored and is still titled as a 1965. Well, the hillbilly that did the inspection clearly does not understand how to read the inspection criteria, because he failed my inspection based off of my brake light only working when the rear brake is used. The fact is that the law stipulates that the brake light must work, which it does. The law says nothing about it being connected to the front brake because there is no law saying that a motorcycle is required to have a front brake. Also, the brake light is connected on a 1965 Harley via a mechanical connection. It is mechanically connected to the rear brake. There is absolutely no connection to the front brake. So despite not understanding the law and what constitutes a pass or failing inspection, the guy was simply a jerk. He was rude and condescending, which was quite surprising considering he works at an inspection sticker place. After my experience here, it is clear to me why the place can't seem to afford a decent air conditioner, or even to replace the water stained ceiling tiles that look like someone poured a bucket of urine on them. This place is in such a great location that if they were to just invest a little bit into training their employees to do their job correctly and treat their customers a little better, they would surely be successful. read more

And he tried to make me pay for a inspection that he never gave me. On top of all this I waited for almost 45mins before he got to my vehicle. If i could give them a zero I would. Get there before they open to get both my cars inspected with my son. The guy that opens starts telling me that i need to move my car because its blocking the garage and he cant move cars through if it there. Im like yes sir i can move it. He then tells me again righy now. I tell him it has to be because of the big ass line out the door. Whatever i left and will never go back. Been going there since they opened but if they treat anyone like that im sure they wont be open to much longer. I'm not sure what it is that some of these people want from an inspection station, but if you are looking for a warm, fuzzy experience with delightful conversation, then I think you might be confused. Sure, social skills are not Mitch's strength, but he's not there to give you "tingly feelz"; he's there to inspect your vehicle according to state criteria... no more no less (unlike the yahoos at lube stations seem to think). Parking? It's straight forward, like any other shop; don't block the drive into/out of the shop...! Also, they *do* accept "electronic" proof of insurance, but unless you want them taking your phone into the shop during the inspection for data entry, you must email it to the address on the sign at the desk so they can print it out. Personally, I love this place and have been going to Mitch for 4 years now. I'm a bit of a "car guy", having had as many as 6 vehicles at once, some of which are older and/or classics. Have a ride with "3 on the tree"? I guarantee you, he's the only one in town who knows what that is... ask how I know. He's a breath of fresh air compared to the kids at the lube places; he knows cars *and* state criteria, regardless of vehicle age (all inspections are not the same), and while he can come off as gruff and un-personable, he's a good guy and will not steer you wrong. I wish there were more no-nonsense businesses like this. read more

Two strikes! We won't give them a chance for a third. My husband went by earlier today with one vehicle and asked where to park and the employee he asked was extremely rude and seemed inconvenienced that he was being asked. I pulled up in front of the open sign in the front door 10 minutes before close. The open sign was still up. As i put the vehicle in park, they guild l flipped the sign to closed and locked the door. When I tried door, a very large lady yelled at me saying, "We're closed." I looked at the time on the door and she yelled at me again. I know they saw me pull up and saw me Park. They could have talked nicely to me and told me that couldn't do it today. We both went to the Sticker Stop and receive prompt, courteous service. We would highly recommend Sticker Stop. read more

O.k. look. I thought I'd go to small business to give business. I think it was a mistake. There was 1 guy handling everything. The guy in front of me in line failed his inspection. They just told him something about a blown fuse - that they could not get power to computer and his tail did not work. He was told he had 15 days to fix. He was pretty confused. While I was waiting, another guy came in to show he had fixed the problems discovered during last visit. He had to wait til my inspection was done. I did not leave without paying extra to fix a minor problem. O.k. guy. Not going back. They all charge basic $18.50. Surely there are better places for this price. I have another car to inspect - looking somewhere else. Beware. Service guy not exactly a people person. read more
