We had a hot water pipe spring a leak inside the slab of our house. EEEEK! Called a couple of other plumbers that did not answer their phones. Checked Yelp and called Leak Dr. The receptionist was super friendly and got Josh by to check the leak . Made a game plan and discussed it with the insurance company, and then scheduled the work to be done. They were a little late arriving, but that's really no big deal. Who really wants a plumber in the house at 730 am? Josh worked to get the job done, cleaned up the mess and made me feel good about his work. Good guarantee too. It's always a little dicey when you hire a plumber. Luckily, I found Josh of Leak Doctor Plumbing to be a professional and courteous fella. We needed the main shutoff valve replaced at our house. Josh was able to come out next day (on a Saturday, at no extra cost) to do the work in less than an hour. He explained exactly what he was going to do and gave us the parts/labor cost breakdown. He replaced the valve & pipe, just what we needed. Now no more leaking! He's licensed, bonded, and insured and also quoted us the lowest rate amongst 4 other pros we called. So I had a leak on my sprinkler system PVC piping which is connected to my man water line. I reached out to my usual plumbing company and they told me that they weren't sure if they could fix it and they would charge me a service fee just to view it. told them it was basic and I could send them a pic or video but they refused. When Leak Dr. Plumbing was still Leak Dr. Plumbing I had a home water filtration system put in. In part I'm at fault for not questioning at the time a discrepancy between estimate warranty and actual warranty upon installation. One was 10yr labor and other was 2yr labor with 13yr parts. At any rate I'm now moving so I called to find out how to transfer warranty to new owner which is when I found out it's now ACE Home Services that bought out Leak Dr. Plumbing. They are not willing to honor any warranty for new owner. Just a bit disappointing to spend so much money and not be able to take advantage of original contract without notification business no longer around. ACE Home Services should change/get rid of any reference to Leak Dr. Plumbing. And Leak Dr. Plumbing could have done a better job at transfer of business and existing clients. On a different note - Leak Dr. Plumbing raved about the system they talked me into and as it turns out it's not that great. I still have horrible/hard water, still have to drink bottled water and get buildup on faucets/pipes. Wouldn't recommend whole house FLOW TEC system/descaler. Had a small, non-emergency plumbing issue with one of our pipes rattling in the wall. Scheduled the appt a couple days out and Josh showed up a few minutes early for the 2hr window I was given. Turned out to be super minor, embarrassingly easy to fix issue. He was done in 2 minutes, did a quick pressure test on the house, and off he went. total rip off. owner, Joshua, came out to give me a "free" estimate. toilet was leaking in the tank. He talked negatively about my kohler brand...but promote his own brand that he carried. he also told me that Kohler parts were VERY expensive. he said that I needed a new float and flap part..he called his distributor and quoted me $471.00 to put these pieces in.. I called Kohler, told them the problem. they told me that it appeared to be only a flap..that cost $6.53...I bought it from a local kohler dealer...put it in and fixed the problem..total joke. I would not recommend this company to anyone with a brain. if you do get an estimate, get another one or do your research.I am livid that I was targeted by leak Dr. to try and take advantage of a 70 year old..I may be dumb...but I am not stupid. I had water leaking into two rooms adjacent to the laundry room when the washer drained. I called very early in the morning and the phone was answered by a person. The scheduler was pleasant and professional and scheduled a service call for later that morning, with a two-hour window. The company uses texts to keep you informed about when they will arrive - even when they have arrived. It turned out to be a minor repair - the hose wasn't fitting correctly into the drain pipe. Josh waited patiently for my washer to fill up and drain to make sure the fix was working and didn't even charge me. I was out of town when my pipes burst and needed them fixed while I was away. Josh from Leak Doctor was able to come out when others were swamped during the 4-5 day cold spell. Communication skills were stellar always keeping me posted on what was happening, my choices in the matter and a project timeline. Additionally they were able to fix two other minor things I needed and had put off till the pipe break. Furthermore they had a Yelp Coupon on the site which eased the pain a bit. I was very pleased with the customer service, communications, responsiveness and timeliness on completing the project. When it gets cold here in the Valley and things break getting service + parts at those times is very, very challenging. No different than your A/C going out on July 4th weekend...good luck!
