They ran diagnostics, bench tested and pool tested. Determined the unit needed a new motor unit - that they had in stock. Replaced the motor unit. I suspect they probably had several hours of labor diagnosing and repairing but they only charged me for the part. Yep, no labor charge! So for ~$300, I got my cleaner back in operation. Jeff Nodine was rude, arrogant, and condescending. Jeff Nodine was so difficult to communicate with I had to call his boss. His boss was here for three minutes and solved the issue. I know this post won't make a difference to Blue Haven, but I was able to talk three of my neighbors out of using them, simply based on the service I recieved from Jeff Nodine. Pool companies are a dime a dozen. Use one that respects your time and money. Blue Haven and Jeff Nodine do not. @Blue Haven, before you start covering for Jeff Nodine, my entire interaction was video and audio recorded. Save your breath. You got my money. 101425--Tim Daw the GM contacted me today. Tim was the one that resolved my problem with Jeff Nodine. My pool was put in six months ago. That's also when the issue was. I moved in from it. This post stemmed from a conversation that I had with a neighbor that also had Jeff Nodine. I was going to delete this post but if Jeff's behavior was corrected six months ago, he wouldn't have treated someone else this way. I want to reiterate, my pool is awesome! My husband and an employee ended up getting into a conversation about the previous owners of our home leaving an old Hayward pool pump and filter system here. Next thing you know, we left with pipes and parts needed to connect that pump to our pool. The following March, we were back there again, only this time it was to purchase a much bigger and better above ground pool from them. We opted for the 15ft x 30ft oval pool, 52" deep. They made the process easy, and within a month, our pool was installed and ready to go. It would have only been 2 weeks, but weather was consistently nasty and the date kept getting pushed back. They even make bundle packages to include decks, which we took advantage of. Since then, we've used them for products, free water testing, advice, and more. It's always a pleasure going to Spa and Tub, and the kids love getting to see all of the hot tub and pool displays when we go in. These guys (and ladies!) are always incredibly helpful teaching me how to keep my pool top notch and sparkling clean, and never try to sell us anything we don't need. I trust them 100%. If cleaning and maintaining your pool isn't your thing, they offer those services as well. Give them a call.

I'm not sure yet, because I haven't been able to use it. My backyard was a tricky install due to a very steep slope. Communication was severely lacking with the plan and install. Salesman didn't go over any install plans, just said an installer would get with me due to the install being unique. Our installer (Sean) was very polite and seemed very knowledgeable. The install requires 2 retaining walls, the First was done quickly to allow the pool install. The second one took 3 days of phone calls before someone showed up. Once they did arrive (after 5 pm) I had to leave and asked if I could just leave payment with them. Owner (Zeb) asked me to leave it in his truck. Opened his door and there were bottles of beer with condensation on them, obviously cold, so not only were they drinking while working on my property, but also driving. I was left with a huge gap between my house and retaining wall. When I called to see about someone returning to fill that in, I was told that was my responsibility unless I paid an additional $500 after I had already paid a total of $5700 for install and retaining walls. So, I spent a week after working my regular job outside with a shovel to fill in the gap so my foundation to my home wouldn't crack. I'm sure this review should have gone somewhere else, that Pool and Spa are simply selling a product and then done with it, but anyone reading this needs to be aware of what happens after you buy. Ask questions, be persistent and demand all steps in writing. I would buy a product from Pool and Spa but wouldn't recommend any work done by Zeb or Brown Construction.

If you like having communication with a contractor during a project forget it you will have to initiate/hound and may or may not get a response. If you ask... with what they think are too many questions... they will get annoyed and things get worse. Once you pay them the second big deposit work starts slowing down. We have had very nice days when they show up for an hour and leave and don't return for days or a week or more. If you opt for a concrete pool deck watch out for getting the Cool Crete they offer as the finish is very very rough on bare feet and inconsistent texture. Understand work defined in the contract and monitor what has been accomplished. We had $3,600 worth of work that required credit on the next payment we had to bring to their attention. With our project they didn't keep accurate records of color selections and asked us at least two times what we had chosen. If you don't want your yard to become an ashtray with cigarette butts all over tell them from the beginning. During the final hookups the autofill line was leaking because a 90 degree PVC connector was not connected properly or glued. Had to come back after 2 attempts of cleaning up plaster splatters and repaint most of the pool deck. I had to ask when salt generator was going to be connected and chemicals checked and adjusted. Also still waiting on final invoice of total cost which the Homeowner Insurance Company wants along with final inspection and survey. These are the guys... in order...
