I had the Meat Lover slice, and my daughter went for the classic cheese. Both were solid slices at a good price. The thin crust (NY-style) hit all the right notes--crispy edges, nice chew, and a soft center. The toppings were generous and well-balanced without overwhelming the slice. The staff was friendly and efficient, and we had our food in no time, which made it a great stop for a casual bite downtown. The space has a fun and artsy ambiance, with murals that blend local El Paso landmarks and pizza-themed artwork--a unique touch that gives the place a lot of character. If you're looking for a quick, tasty slice with no fuss and lots of flavor, The Pizza Joint is a good bet.

My family opted for a variety of items on the menu; pizza slices, chef salad, meatball sub, and meat lasagna. The food came out surprisingly fast and tasted fresh and hot. Everyone enjoyed their dish with the exception of my daughter who got lasagna. She wasn't a fan of the sauce, it was savory and she prefers sweet. I tasted it and liked it, so it's just a matter of preference. The lasagna came with a ton of sauce and melted mozzarella which I loved, but she prefers more of a traditional form. Again, just preference differences. Two guys arrived around 7:20 and I observed the server clearly irritated and grumbling under his breath on his way to greet them. He informed them they close at 8 prior to even seating them and said they could only be served if they ordered right away. They happily agreed, but I was a little put off by it. You would've thought these guys waltzed in five minutes before closing based on how the server treated them. I contemplated knocking off a star based on the server's urgency to close up, but opted not to because the food was very good and the service was as well notwithstanding the closing issue.

Available for free pick-up or delivery with a delivery fee. *I'm in a Cappetto's Fan Page on facebook and came across a fellow fanatic who posted this tidbit of news lol. I was to finally be reunited with my seafood fettuccine and was counting down the days. I marked it for pickup and the prices for the amount of food was A STEAL. Make sure to order extra garlic bread because you will open up the catering pan and eat a few on your way home. They have a half tray of 24 slices of garlic bread and salad for $20. Once I got home, I started realizing that the amount of sauce for the fettuccine was more than enough. We honestly had leftover to dip bread in for the next few days. The pasta for a half tray was about $60 and fed our family. The breakdown per cost per plate is definitely max bang for your buck. Every bite was my childhood and upbringing coming back to life. I was in disbelief I was having my favorite dish in El Paso once again. My family now knows we will have A Taste of Cappetto's everytime I'm back in town. Honestly, I jokingly would make a comment I'd sell my kidney for Cappetto's again so IDK if I'm now contractually obligated to this with someone out there in the universe.

When we found out that we could order via catering I went straight for it. I let my wife know and she got excited like I was. We ordered our favorite chicken Parmesan and it came with four servings of the chicken Parmesan, a full tray of spaghetti with the sauce, a full tray of the garlic bread, a full tray of the salad, and with all the fixings in assorted to go containers, and it costs just over 60 bucks. When I brought it home it was memory Lane for our taste buds and for our stomach. And triggered off all the memories that we talked about when Cappettos used to be open on Montana. It would be great if they could reopen that building I believe it's still standing I'm not sure. Or just reopened. Period! We're definitely going to do a repeat reordering because they're still so much more of the menu to revisit. We're looking forward to it

I was excited to see that there was a food truck that catered to my obsession, and much to my delight, it has authentic taste with the chain prices! I also got my apartment manager hooked on these bad pies...I mean bad boys. On the truck you can choose between Pies and pockets (aka calzones). In small talk with the owner, I told her I wish I could have the muffaletta pocket, but didn't want the smoked ham. She informed me that they make each order to order and was able to get me a vegetarian version of it, and as a bonus, added mushrooms since I didn't want to take the designated protein. When I got the piping hot order (without a flag) and bit into, I was taken back to to New Orleans. It had that perfect salty tapenade bite, but in a little shell. Next time, I want to try their California which has goat cheese and veggies. The thing that really won me over is the most recent time she had strawberry rhubarb pie. It is so hard to find any in the 915, but there it was, and it was excellent. Sweet and tart with a little bit of salt from the crust. (Actually, I think the pie crust could have used a little less salt). I was excited when I saw it one more time, but they were parked next to the donut truck and didn't sell it because they didn't want them to lose any business. That is a class act!
