Outstanding meal! Small dinning area so you might have a little bit of a wait but it's well worth it. We had the Carne Pizza and guayabera pie for desert. Wonderful!

Barra Negra - Creative menu - by so well executed

This place seems like a cool bar - but they seem to be missing a chef. The menu looks good, but is…read morevery poorly executed. You don't want to eat here. There is a GREAT pizza place in Guadalajara and Mexcio City names Perro Negro - this is supposedly the owners friend and a copy cat restaurant. The design on the inside is cool - like a rock concert. The menu looks great, and they've tried Mexican/Juarez takes on pizzas - like the barbacoa pizza which sounded amazing!! But no. Drinks - like many places in Juarez that boast a great craft beer menu, they really only had like one craft beer on hand and the waiter knew nothing about it (or any beer for that matter). My friends ordered super sugary cocktails that took a while and zero skill to make. We started with the loaded fries. There were more like potato slices covered in cheese. Then we waited like an hour for the first of our two pizzas. And then we waited like 30 more minutes for the second (they were supposed to come at the same time bc we had vegetarians who couldn't eat the first). All this to say the service is sub-par - or maybe its just on par for Juarez. Don't get your hopes up. So the pizza came out - Juarez HAS good pizza. Perro Negro has AMAZING pizza. So we had kinda high hopes. And it fell totally flat. To the point that we left pizza on the table instead of getting a box to take the leftovers home with us. The crust is like something a bad chef would make at home from a yeast pack and a google recipe. Flat, dense, no flavor. The sauce tasted like it came out of a can (probably from Costco, because this is Juarez, and most of the sub-par food is from Costco). The pizzas were all lacking flavor - we dumped so much sauces and peppers on them just to try to add flavor. The barbacoa had like a tablespoon of barbacoa spread around it. They were just all bad. Maybe it'd be cool for a place to drink some cheap beer and listen to music - but there a ton of places like that here. So really, there is no reason to go here.

I went to the pizza joint for take out. I was very dissatisfied by the buffalo chicken pizza, which…read morewas completely missing buffalo sauce or ranch sauce. This was a complete joke. See the picture for this nonsense. Sadly, I found this out when I got home and opened the box. I tipped when I placed my order but if I can change the tip amount, this pizza deserves absolutely zero tip and full replacement. Pepperoni joints were fine. I will never be able to trust this store on quality controls from now on. And if you are getting a to-go order, you should open the box and check what is inside before leaving the store.

I had the Meat Lover slice, and my daughter went for the classic cheese. Both were solid slices at a good price. The thin crust (NY-style) hit all the right notes--crispy edges, nice chew, and a soft center. The toppings were generous and well-balanced without overwhelming the slice. The staff was friendly and efficient, and we had our food in no time, which made it a great stop for a casual bite downtown. The space has a fun and artsy ambiance, with murals that blend local El Paso landmarks and pizza-themed artwork--a unique touch that gives the place a lot of character. If you're looking for a quick, tasty slice with no fuss and lots of flavor, The Pizza Joint is a good bet.
