Not that there was anything wrong at my last place, but once you find a hair stylist that you truly trust - going to the salon becomes so much less stressful. Aimee is an amazing stylist! She listens and remembers what you like and don't like. She also isn't just thinking of your style on that visit but how to improve it each time going forward. I have dark hair and have always wanted lighter highlights (lowlights - I don't know - see, this is why I need Aimee). She has helped get my hair to the right color so that it accepts the lighter shades without looking like Bozo. In addition to Aimee, the salon itself is bright and cheerful. All of the employees there are welcoming and kind. They offer an amazing array of products too. Highly recommend Aimee and Tove.

I came here quite often for so-so cheap pedicures. I usually go to another place for my hair, and…read morewith my hectic schedule, was able to get into SJ's in a shorter period of time. I wanted blonde highlights, and ended up with chunky, bleached (we're talking white) highlights that were spotty, at best. Let's not discuss my cut. No, wait, we should. I wanted long layers, and ended up with a frizzy, razored mess of fine hair. Not even this, but the back was so uneven that people were commenting on it at work. I had to have it redone, went somewhere new, and only told them I needed a touch-up and trim. They immediately asked if I had cut my own hair and dyed it myself. I had to admit that I actually paid quite a bit for it. Needless to say, I never did go back, nor would I recommend this place for anything other than a low cost mani/pedi or tanning packages.

I'm in shock that the owner, with whom I had an appointment booked with for partial…read morebalayage/highlights, asked me to leave just because she didn't know what to do based on the consultation. I told her I'm really bad at explaining what I want but I just want to freshen up my roots for this weekend which I have a special event and my hair was looking too dark on the top and light on the bottom. I showed a few different pictures hoping she could choose one that was realistic and worked with what I have, making it clear I don't really know or care what exactly I want done but overall just needed to lighten the roots even just a little bit kinda pull a little lightness up for a fresh and cleaner look. I told her I understand it's not going to be exactly like any of the pics or perfect in any way, but she wasn't willing to try anything.. literally asked me to leave, saying we're not a good fit. I was shocked. I asked if she could at least do something, like a few highlights or even just toner or SOMEthing, and that I would come back again so we could work toward my desired look little by little. She didn't even offer to blow dry it so I would at least have nice hair for my event, she just kicked me out because I didn't have an exact specific thing I wanted done, or I guess it wasn't clear enough to her. I was forced to leave the salon with the same frizzy salon-day-just-woke-up-hair/ ready-to-get-my-hair-done hair, which completely ruined my plans for the day and the weekend as now I have to make time to wash and style and do my own hair on a very tight schedule. I almost feel like I did something wrong since I literally got kicked out of her salon, like I'm being punished. I'm a pretty shy/polite person; I was smiling the whole time and just wanted her professional input. After getting asked to leave I sat in the parking lot for an hour, sort of in shock, and started calling other salons to see if I could get a last minute appointment. But of course now it's late on a Friday afternoon so I have no choice but to make do with this frizzy mess for my special weekend. I'm in absolute shock. Very cold and unfriendly atmosphere. Not exactly the customer service I expected from a business owner. I felt kinda bad about myself after this experience, but I'm going to get over it right now and be the positive person that I am so I'm just happy and thankful to God for everything and every experience that I have, both the bad and the good, and embrace my hair for what it is right now!

Very much a "wash and wear" girl these days. That's always been the case but having turned 60, I've made a decision to stop coloring my roots too. It is what it is. The stark demarcation line as hair grows out is a bit difficult to live with. As such, I've had two grey blending treatments. It was time for the third, and to get rid of some of the brassiness my hair holds. All About You did a fantastic job. I love that the ladies run things by each other and are open to listening - two or three experienced heads are better than one. The brassiness is gone. The straight line dividing new growth from old, is gone. My hair is soft and shiny. I will come back. Someone else mentioned the price being high. Maybe. Having been to inexpensive hair salons though, I can tell you from personal experience that paying to get those cuts/colors fixed is not cheap either.
