The Vitamin Shoppe in Matthews has been there for a while, but I never had an excuse to visit until…read morerecently. The store is kept very clean and the staff was very nice and available to help you find what you need. One downside is that this location shares a common parking lot with the Panera Bread next door so the parking situation can get a bit frustrating at times. Luckily there are 3-4 reserved "Vitamin Shoppe Parking Only" spaces, but that doesn't stop people from idling in them while their family members go place and order at Panera. This is a big place (for a Vitamin store), I didn't know they made vitamins out of some of the stuff they offer! But then again, I can't really see myself taking 20 vitamins at one point in the day... I guess it will happen sometime when my hair starts turning gray.

The customer was upset that the store didn't carry what she wanted. The staff apologized and explained this is more of a wellness space than a dispensary. The customer then began to share personal info and said "I have never smoked". The staff replied then why would you start now. I myself have been asked this question by them and I was glad. I didn't realize there were other options for delivery of plant medicine. Instead of seeing the question as it was intented to be, caring, this customer began to get very defensive and just rude to the GMSG staff. I just felt horrible for the staff. I've been coming here for years and have never felt in any way disrespected or unsupported. I wish I knew who this woman was so I could say shame on you for being so nasty to someone trying to help you!
