My son (C) has had several health situations and Dr. Pope has superbly answered our questions and expertly guided us through each one. The nurses really care too. Not sure what kiddo likes shots but, C is highly anxious about them and the nurse totally knew how to respond and get him through them with the least amount of stress possible. The waiting room is always packed but the desk staff seem to manage appointments as well as insurance billing flawlessly. In my opinion, Dr Pope is one of the best Pediatricians around!

What I don't appreciate is when medical practitioners get offended when you ask questions, or challenge theories when it comes to your own health. It is my body and my life, I think every patient should ask questions and challenge conventional theories. I have a thyroid issue. I am trying to find ways to heal it. I have been seeing Dr. Horsefield for maybe 5 years now, and have noticed passive aggressiveness before... but what I recently experienced is clearly unacceptable. I saw him for my regular annual appointment 3 months ago. My TSH levels were too high, so I got on some thyroid supplements and we retested about 6 weeks later. The results came in and the TSH levels were too low. I have since readjusted my medication and sent him an email politely asking if he could order the bloodwork to retest my levels so I can ensure i am now healthy and found the right balance. His response was callous. I have attached a photo with the passive aggressive response, where he makes it clear that he wont put the test in the system because he doesn't get paid for "answering emails, ordering tests, reviewing tests, communicating test results and maintenance of records" ..... REALLY? Aren't those tasks associated with being a doctor? I would be happy to pay him, for me it isn't about the money at all. In addition, clearly SOMEONE is getting paid when I order these lab tests because I'm charged thousands of dollars for them. All I need though is the bloodwork.... and he doesn't have availability for 2 months!?! I'm extremely disappointed that someone in the healthcare field is so much more concerned about their wallet than their patients health. Also if he wanted to charge me a processing fee that is fine, but his solution is clearly not in my best interest to wait 2 months and potentially do irreversible damage to my body.

Dr. Whitley is so gentle yet effective while she does his adjustments, and is so knowledgeable on all things health/wellness related. Emily, the receptionist, has got to be one of the kindest people I've ever met! She is so caring and will help you out with whatever you need! Their intern, Ashley, was also great while she was there. All that said, I've never been to another doctor's office where I get to know everyone who works there, and their staff is truly the best. :-) When you book with VFC, you're not just booking with another doctor's office. They really do go above and beyond any doctor's office I've ever interacted with. They even have a whole play area perfect for toddlers, plus snacks, breastfeeding pillows, and extra diapers and clothes. If you're on the fence but you think that chiropractic care could be beneficial for you or your kids, just give them a chance, or at least a phone call, and they will treat you like family!

Dr. Jorge Luengas has been our primary care physician for over 10 years. I credit him with saving…read moremy moms life -- twice. Once for heart disease (required a triple bypass surgery in 2001) and once for breast cancer (2008). He caught signs and symptoms very early on, and she was able to make a recovery in both instances. He also was an invaluable help when I was diagnosed with type II diabetes. He took the time to sit with me explaining how it was going to change my life, but not to let it get me down. He truly listens to his patients needs. In a world where medicine has become about how much profit can be made, its nice to find a physician who still genuinely cares about the needs of his patients and responds to each of them as if they were his only appointment for the day. Getting an appointment is fairly easy, I've always been able to get in same day for major items, and within a day or two for minor issues. Parking is a little tight, but there is a blood lab in the same facility (suite 15) so that is quite convenient. And he never makes fun of me for having a fear of needles and still being a big baby when it comes to them.

First, she was NOT friendly. I was taken aback instantly by how she answered the phone. She was very short, curt, and abrupt through our very brief conversation. Then, I realized she is only an answering service, and if I wanted to schedule an appointment, I would have to wait 6 days until someone else returned to the office to call me to get my information (and who knows how long I'd have to wait to be seen after that). If the first person I spoke to is any indicator on how the rest of my experience will go, I will easily move on and find someone else.
