The Cote d'Azur can be very split-brained - crazy, chaotic, and harried in the summer, quiet, cool, and calm in the winter.
This restaurant is no exception - in the silent depths of winter, with no tourists around, the staff is friendly, the service is pleasant, the food is quiet good, and everything is on a bit of an even keel.
The pizzas are ... ok ..., not bad, but not great either.
OTOH, the rest of the stuff on the menu can be quite good - with the filet de Saint Pierre particularly so.
