What an experience!! Most fun meal I've had in a month in Europe…read more Fabio and Sabina have a party going in a small space packed with fresh pasta, black truffles (she's happy to show you), magical cheese and sauce, and fresh bread and flatbread, plus a healthy dose of passion for food and life. My man had the lasagna, which was probably the best I've ever tasted - magical sauce nicely balanced with just enough cheese and plenty of meat to be flavorful, creamy, and hearty but not overwhelming. My piadine with truffle and sausage was amazing and generous: I'm looking forward to enjoying the second half for lunch. We complemented it with perfectly drinkable red table wine and finished with the best tiramisu I've had in my life (and I'm almost 50), made in house by Fabio - just enough sugar, and a little tango was in a lower layer of mascarpone with fluffier cream layer on top of the espresso-soaked ladyfingers. Nociola and Springsteen went with the tiramisu; Fabio likes his rock, and by the end of the evening we were all jamming out to Stairway to Heaven. I like to cook and enjoyed watching this duo work their magic. Yes, yes, yes! Seating is limited and they have plenty of fans, for good reason!

Humiliating experience. I would never return, and I would not recommend anyone come here…read more We went out to celebrate a special moment and spontaneously decided to stay at MAMO after being offered a table. We ordered a pizza and an appetizer because we simply weren't very hungry. At no point before being seated or ordering were we informed that there was a requirement for each person to order a main course. Only as our pizza arrived were we suddenly told that a main course per person was mandatory. When we explained that nobody had informed us of this policy, the waiter responded that this was "a restaurant" and that they never thought they would need to explain something like this to their public. The way this was said made us feel looked down upon, as though we somehow weren't the type of clientele who belonged there. Instead of handling the misunderstanding professionally, our food was taken away, the waiter raised his voice at us in front of other diners, and we were ultimately escorted out. We left almost in tears while other customers watched. What was supposed to be a special evening ended with us feeling completely humiliated. If MAMO requires every guest to order a main course, customers should be clearly informed BEFORE being seated or ordering. Had we known, we simply would have gone somewhere else. The issue was never the existence of the policy--it was that, in our experience, it wasn't communicated beforehand and the situation was then handled in an unnecessarily humiliating way. I have eaten in countless luxury restaurants and have never experienced treatment like this. Hospitality should never mean making guests feel inferior or unwelcome. We have formally reported what happened to the appropriate French consumer-protection service. Based on our experience, I would never return and would not recommend MAMO Michelangelo to anyone.
