    Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup
    Lisa S.

Le Souk has been extremely popular on Tik Tok lately thanks to their Dubai chocolate strawberry cup. I live in very close proximity to this store, but just walked in for the first time over the weekend. It certainly won't be my last. I have to commend the employees for being so kind and patient even with how busy it was and how long the lines were. They maintained their composure the entire time. You can find housewares, tea, coffee, candy, spices/herbs, crepes, and a variety of other great things. I didn't know how extremely versatile it was inside. It's a one stop shop to buy souvenirs or gifts if you're ever in a pinch. I'm giving the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup a solid 6 score. $13 for a huge serving. The strawberries were fresh, overloaded with chocolate sauce and the knafeh was crunchy. I just wish it had a little more pistachio cream. It tasted like chocolate covered strawberries more than anything. I still loved it, though. I decided to buy some Turkish delights as well. I love floral foods and got the rose kind - definitely a very rosy taste and chewy (think gummy candy). It has a Jello-like texture and appearance inside. Planning to stop back in again soon for the Turkish iced coffee and a crepe!

Not kidding! Some of the best crepes I've ever had. Their bakllava & cream waffle was UNREAL. Super creative menu, quick service, and amazing quality. What's there not to love? The establishment is also lovely and you can shop around for spices, teas, candy, etc. while you wait for your food. Can't wait to go back, definitely in my top 5 dessert spots of 2024.

Fantastic cafe! A lovely selection of dried specialty food goods- middle eastern (mostly Palestinian it seems) imports. If you love pistachio this is the place! There's a nice seating area where you can enjoy your drink or treat and put your bags while you shop. Great place friendly owner!

First of all, I had to get several of the retro postcards that they sell. The artwork is so charming I can't resist and I always feel like I have to share it with others. And it changes each season so you really can learn about greeting card history by looking at the cute details of the art and the postcard. Chloe was very kind and she knew the history behind a marshmallow caramel chocolate that they sell, especially at this confectionary. Another thing I like to pick up is one of their gingerbread cookies. They are hand pressed and I just feel so spoiled to get to enjoy this beautiful and very special cookie. Thank you all so much for all your hard work. You make such wonderful treats and are also a tour guide of your historical shop. You're historians on chocolate and this city. Thank you so much for all your hard work . Past , present and future ! How wonderful we can enjoy even to this day this beautiful building and see all the beautiful candies and chocolates and cards . And here are wonderful stories . 160 years of sweet treats. I'm really grateful that you carry on this lovely tradition. Thank you for everything. And thanks to your suppliers and vendors for all they do too. I had a wonderful time.

I'm glad I visited as the chocolate is excellent. This tiny store is filled with many different products, mostly chocolates. They have chocolate bonbons in so many awesome flavors including strawberry lemon, honey Taheen, mango passionfruit, espresso, dark chocolate orange, pecan praline, blueberry, carrot cake, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, dark chocolate coconut, dark chocolate raspberry, dark chocolate hazelnut, very berry, sea salt, caramel caramel, apple and yuzu lemon. Those were just today's flavors. There are others in rotation. They also have hot chocolate mixes including a spicy one, granola, jarred candies, candles, bath salts, and packaged chocolate bar pieces. Additionally, they have house-made pastries like chocolate chip cookies, scones, and macaroons. The store then brings in the outside with many plants and cacti and reading material. See my pictures! The very helpful single staffer was able to answer my questions and very friendly. Although I had only purchased one set of seconds, I opted to buy two more on the spot. The bonbons are usually $3 each and come in 3, 5, 10, 15, or 24 packs. When I got back I was highly anticipating the pieces. In one pack I got raspberry and lemon. I have yet to open the other two. What I tried was delicious and had to stop myself from eating them all. Very happy with Aurora Grace Chocolates.

The incredible cheese selection, the curated Italian pastas, wines, and specialty foods -- it's a food lover's dream. I felt like a kid in a candy store, completely mesmerized by all the options. The staff was friendly, and everything looked so high-quality and well-presented. I was genuinely tempted to buy an assortment of cheeses to bring back home, and I still kind of regret not doing it. That said, I did have one experience that made me pause. Later that evening, as I walked by after closing hours, I peeked through the window to show my husband the shop I had visited earlier and I happened to see a few mice moving around inside the store. It was definitely unsettling to witness, especially after seeing all the exposed cheeses and displays earlier in the day. I completely understand that older city buildings (especially in places like Philly) have their challenges, and I'm sure this isn't unique to Di Bruno Bros. Still, as a customer, it did take away from the magic of my earlier visit. Overall, Di Bruno Bros. is a gorgeous and well-curated Italian market that I'd recommend visiting for its atmosphere and specialty goods but I hope management is able to address cleanliness concerns, because the store truly deserves to shine as brightly as its reputation.
