**DO NOT KEEP YOUR CREDIT CARD ON FILE AT THIS LOCATION**…read more Let me start by saying Yakira is absolutely AMAZING! She's my go to person at this location. What's NOT OK is the reception personnel taking it upon themselves to sign me up for the Prepaid Wax Package for $594 with a credit card I had on file for my regular service, when I SPECIFICALLY asked them to call me to remind about the promo before it expired. Next thing I know I have $148.50 coming out of my account on a regular basis and I NEVER signed up for this!! All because the front reception area personnel was having an internal "contest" to sign up clients around the holidays. Misuse and unauthorized use of customer's credit cards without their consent or a SIGNED contract for services is a NO-NO! I haven't had the mental bandwidth to deal with this just yet, nor has my schedule permitted.

But as I've been making a conscious effort to support more local and smaller businesses, I decided it was time to branch out for my monthly waxes, which is what brought me to the Pretty Kitty. Booking online was painless; very quick and easy. And I appreciated receiving a reminder text along as well. I was also texted a couple follow-up questions about my new client forms, which I was able to easily answer quickly. The salon itself is absolutely adorable. It's beautifully decorated with a fun, sleek, and welcoming vibe that made me feel comfortable. My wax specialist, Alexis, was phenomenal. I had my nostrils and a Brazilian wax done, and she was incredibly attentive, gentle, and professional. Honestly, it was probably the least painful Brazilian I've had in over 20 years of getting waxed! She also took the time to tweeze a few stubborn stragglers, a detail that not every esthetician bothers with, and I really appreciated the extra care. From the easy scheduling to the outstanding service, and reasonable pricing, this experience exceeded my expectations. I'll be going here from now on!!! ps. They actually respect your time, so we stayed at the time they I selected. The girl walked me to a room. I got on the bed face up. Raised my arms to expose my under arms. She cleaned my underarms & prepped them for the wax. She put the hot wax on my underarms and got to work. Of course there was some pain, but nothing unbearable. What she could not get with the ear, she plucked and I could barely feel the plucking. She put a serum on afterwards and I was done. The girl at the front desk said this service was complimentary since it was my first time here. She also gave me a goody bag and showed me what was inside. Overall, 10 out of 10 experience. Hopefully the one in San Marcos lives up to this experience. The prices was quick!

I scheduled my appointment with Nicole. I already came in there with my mind thinking that it was gonna hurt, cuz all my friends said waxing hurts...guess what... it kinda hurts, lol. But the results I saw where way better than shaving!! The pain for 5 minutes was worth it and I've been sugaring since...on to my 4th sugar wax now. I like Nicole's skills. She does it fast, and your in and out in 5 minutes. I like that she puts a warm towel on you after the waxing is done, and then proceeds to tweeze out any missing hairs. After that, she puts on coconut oil and that feels nice too. She walked me through the steps and explained everying to me. She had to tell me to breathe, since I was so tense my first time around Like I said, I'm on my 4th waxing now and I really like it. I don't think I will ever try regular waxing. I did notice my hair growth to be thinner, which is a plus. The waxing usually lasts me about 1 week where it's all nice and clean...after that...hairs start sprouting back. I go every 4-5 weeks to maintain it. If this is your first time ever...don't be scared. It's so much better than shaving. There will be some pain, but it's worth it to me. Ask for Nicole, she's also the owner and has been doing it the longest.

I had no issues whatsoever when I presented it to her. Even when I go back for the full-priced wax, it will still be a major bargain. She is located in Sola salon, by Barnes and Noble. Walked in with my mother and was greeted to a nice looking lobby with a nice couch to sit on and wait as we were a little early. The staff was very kind and professional. After showing the coupon we were asked for the Voucher Number. For those who never used Groupon before the email your sent as a "Receipt" is not good enough to redeem the Groupon (This is for any business, not just this one). You have to go to the Groupon website, sign into your account, pull up active Groupons and hit "Redeem". Once you "Redeem" the Groupon it will show a barcode with a number below it. That number is what the business needs to confirm you paid and is also the number the business uses to get paid by Groupon. There are a few negative reviews in here and it appears by reading them people don't actually know the process which is not clearly explained by Groupon. Anyways we did the 90 minute massage and facial which as someone who's been to a lot of Chinese massage places I can say with confidence this place is in my top 5! The experience was very relaxing and the lady who did my massage and facial was very good and did not go too deep. Massage went like any standard back, arms, and shoulder massage but during the facial they used some machines I've never seen before. Some special vacuum tip that sucks up blackheads and another machine was a diamond tip thing I don't know what it did but did not hurt at all and the facial was just as relaxing as the massage. They also do a lot more then just massage and facials so ill be back as its way cheaper and has better value than any of the spas on the strip!
