My boyfriend and I stayed here during the 4th of July vacation of this year and I absolutely loved this place. There are four or five rooms and a dining room. It's fairly small but it's a bed and breakfast. The rooms have no AC but they have heaters, fans, and windows that you can open during the day or night. It's on the third floor so it would be very difficult for anyone to climb up and get into the window.
First let's start off with the owners. Fabio and Ulrika are absolutely the nicest people in the world. Ulrika checked me in when I arrived on Wednesday and was super helpful on where to eat and what to do while I was in Florence. She explained where to get the museum card and where all the museums were. She also provided me with a really great map of the city and wrote down all the local joints in which I would experience the full Italian experience. She told me the parts of town to stay away from late at night if I was alone.
The breakfast is simple but good. It's cereal, pastries, cookies, fruits, yogurt, coffee, two types of juices, and milk. It's served from 8:30 am to 10:30am. Ulrika prepares the breakfast and if you need you can request an earlier breakfast prepared if you have to leave early.
They clean the rooms from 10 -12pm and the rooms look like you just checked in every time. They even threw in a bottle of wine one of the nights that we stayed. It was such a great experience having that personal connection with the owners. They actually cared how we were enjoying Florence. I think that alone made Florence a memorable experience.
I definitely will recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone staying in Florence and if we come back to Florence I hope Fabio and Ulrika are still operating this business! read more
