It was my very first time in Paris. The evening of our arrival. We had just checked into our super cute little hotel and our friend (who is a local) texted to ask what we wanted to eat that evening. We told her she should decide. It should be close to our hotel and cater to her very limited range of foods she could eat. She went to Yelp and Google, found Le Robinet and told us to meet her there. She had never been there before! We were not convinced at first, wanted to have the "real Paris experience" and not go to a place she didn't know. But in the end, we went anyway. And we were SO, so lucky! It is a family owned place. The son in the front of the house, the mom in the kitchen, as far as I remember. My French is so la la, so I didn't understand everything he said, but my friend had a blast with him. He was able to accomodate her without a problem. We had the best of the best: Foie Gras, steak etc. Good wine, great conversation. And hey... Paris! So, I spent one of the best evenings of 2018 at this place. If you have the chance, go there and enjoy the atmosphere and the charme. You will not regret it! (BTW: very fitting that this place got 5 stars on my 300th review!) read more
