Many clubs in Paris open late (compared to America, my home country) and have hefty cover charges. Supersonic was open at a reasonable time and it was free to get in! The venue looks sketchy from the outside, but the bouncers are kind and inside, the place is really comfortable and nice. They had a band playing live music, two floors to look at what's going on, and a really cool bar. Their happy hours were kind of weird (during happy hours, their beers are priced really well, but it ended pretty early) and the club closed comparatively early. I'd recommend this place as a chill vibe/pre-game to get to see the city in a relaxing and introspective way.

I went over to a man working there near the DJ booth and asked if there was more live music on. He looked super angry and like a thug and shrugged and said 'i don't know' . Then I was wondering what to do as people had dispersed .. I saw a couple smoking a cigarette at the back of the bar. Me being from another country and not knowing French laws followed suit and lit a cigarette. It was such a dark and dingy bar that i wouldn't be surprised for patrons to smoke there. When my cigarette was almost finished the same angry thug looking man came up to me and grabbed my hand aggressively and squeezed it hard manhandling me until my wrist hurt and took the cigarette out of my hand and said 'get out! Get out! You are forbidden to ever be in this club again! You have broken French laws. I'm escorting you out!' I have never been treated like this in my life like I was a thief or a horrible person. I didn't know French laws were as such and it was an innocent mistake. I was manhandled and in the USA I could sue this bar for touching me in this way. I will investigate French laws and might file a claim. No one should aggressively manhandle a woman this way. Disgusting treatment of patrons. He could have kindly asked me to put the cigarette out and I would have complied. Never go this bar. Also expensive drinks

The people who work here are very sweet and kind and its a nice change of atmosphere from the hustle and bustle of the center of Paris. We ended up going with Ava and her boyfriend Yassine, lining up after dinner, around 10:30 on a Friday night. There was a small crowd waiting outside, and it took us about a half hour to get in. The place was fun and busy, and as charming as I remembered. We got seated in a loungey upstairs area and received excellent table service. There was free popcorn and even a complimentary round of welcome drinks, a strong mini cocktail of Gentian and peated whiskey. The menu had changed over completely since my first visit. The cocktail offerings were printed onto thick printed leaves arranged on metal branches, forming a cool little tree centerpiece that replaced a paper menu (there was also a more detailed menu available online). Several of the cocktails were labeled with raindrops, indicating they were available as mocktails--helpful for Yassine, who doesn't drink alcohol. Matt and I shared two rounds, sampling a good chunk of this new menu. Everything was delicious. The Carbone was a bright, interesting cocktail made with beetroot, black garlic, Origin smoked gin, and Dartigalongue Un-Oaked, served with a cube of frozen yogurt that melted lushly into the beet-red drink. The Serre Solaire was smooth and boozy, with black tea, green walnut and milk, Cointreau, and Rémy Martin cognac. The Résilience was a highbrow tropical cocktail, with sorghum, pineapple sage, Pasquet cognac, and Savanna rum. The Permaculture was creative and flavorful, with chestnut, butter, wakame umeshu, and Avallen Calvados. I also tried a sip of Ava's Aquaponie, a light, juicy vodka drink with basil, lemon and sweet clover, St. Germain, and Grey Goose. I love Little Red Door and I'm glad I got to visit a second time and share it with my husband. We do live kind of far away, but I hope a third visit is in the cards.

The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!
