Dr. Le was the only psych in network for several years, so I was left with no choice but to stick with seeing her. Throughout the last 3 years of seeing her on and off I feel like I've gotten worse. She solely relies on medication, which I had no luck with. Over 15 different medications and 5 different diagnoses, but the medications only made me feel worse emotionally or left me physically unable to leave bed from the severe side effects. I tried to inquire about the possibility of treatment resistance, which I learned about from my primary care, and immediately shot me down and asked, "why are you questioning my medical degree?" The appointments were 5-10 minutes at max, and since the pandemic all appointments are via Facetime, which was convenient. Like I previously mentioned, she relies solely on medication so the whole visit is basically just her asking: how I feel on the meds and do I have any side effects. Every visit she pushed the idea of upping my doses, regardless of how sick they made me feel. The medication left me unable to work or go to school but she still insisted I raise the dosage, despite opposing medical opinions. She does not rely on psychotherapy at all. Every visit left me feeling even worse about myself after she'd constantly disregard the feelings I was trying to explain. She simply just looks down at her notes during a majority of the visits. I get it, you need to review my past medical history, but please have the compassion to look at me when I'm explaining my feelings of hopelessness at least. Several times I had to visit the mental health emergency room, and when I'd tell her about the situation, she'd criticize my decision to go because "no other doctors knows you [me] better than I do." There is no after hours/emergency line for Dr. Le. Her phone line states that in the case of an emergency to visit the ED, contradicting herself. I would see her on and off, simply because I felt she was making me feel worse than when I didn't see her. Despite this I knew I had to go back because she was my only option. In addition, make sure to have confirmations of your appointment. Several times they told me I didn't have an appointment in their system, despite me having the letter. One of the office staff is beyond rude and attempts to argue. I finally found a new doctor who is amazing and is quite the opposite of Dr. Le. I would not recommend Dr. Le to anyone given her ignorance and lack of compassion and respect. She should not be in this field. read more
