First of all, Dr Goldstein was extremely difficult to get in touch with on the phone-we played phone tag for about a week. Finally we reached each other and made an appointment . His office was messy and dusty, and the desk was covered with papers. For someone who was in the middle of a crisis and visiting a psychiatrist for the first time, it was not a very reassuring setting. His beside manner also was very lacking in my opinion. I found him to be very robotic, and most of the appointment consisted of him asking me questions directly from a questionnaire where every single question started with the phrase "has there ever been a time when you weren't quite yourself" or something like that. Then he diagnosed me with depression and prescribed me anti depressants. He read off a long list of possible side effects, which was intimidating. I asked whether I should keep taking my sleep medication since I'd had terrible insomnia. He laughed and said I wouldn't need them anymore. The whole experience was so upsetting that I put off taking the medication for another three weeks, and then finally found another psychiatrist to get another opinion. She was much more personable and communicative, and she has an emergency number for urgent questions, which was much more reassuring. I've now made a full recovery. I wouldn't recommend Dr Goldstein, especially for postpartum.

I'm the face of adversity and defending science over court opinion, Dr. Klimdt prescribed me Desoxyn(Methamphetamine). 10 years later I had enjoyed, through a company that I built, $4,200,000 in sales with over 50 employees/tradesman working every day. The need for the medicine only came about on a few occasions but combined with the 12 steps, and a strong Faith, Dr. Klimdt and I are living proof of a true success story against the most extreme odds possible. There is quite a bit of political corruption with the courts since my step father was a billionaire before he passed, and now am dealing with having to investigate alongside FBI such people as Mayor Sheng Thao of Oakland, who was recently raided for political corruption after my December 2022 complaint uncovered evidence the FBI needed to execute the warrant in their ongoing investigations. (See my email in photos of this yelp post). In conclusion, Dr. Klimdt was originally referred to me by a lifelong friend and former college professor, George Hinn, and both deserve noble prizes imo. They just don't care about outside opinion, only about their patience, and factual scientific data. Mad love and respect for both these gentlemen, Dr. Klimdt is worth every penny he charges and then some.

I would not recommend this place for TMS treatment. Dr. Nangia was my psychiatrist for over ten…read moreyears, and in earlier years I had very positive experiences with both medication management and TMS treatment at San Jose Integrative Wellness Center. Sadly, my most recent round of TMS was a completely different experience and ultimately led me to leave the practice. Before starting this round, I discussed being treated for a different condition than in prior years, and Dr. Nangia agreed to it. However, at my first appointment he seemed to forget that discussion and initially prepared to treat me for the other condition. I had to remind him of our prior conversation, which immediately made me concerned about communication and quality of care. As treatment continued, I had repeated issues with responsiveness and follow-through. For my remapping appointment, I was set up in the chair only to learn that Dr. Nangia was not in the office and I would need to return the next day. I was constantly reminded of the fact that they charge for missed appointments but when he didn't show up to my appointment, I didn't even get an apology. It's frustrating that they don't seem to hold themselves to the same standards expected of patients. When I raised concerns about treatment progress, there were many delays in getting responses for adjustment requests. Everyday it was a new medical assistant who would treat me, so I had to explain the situation repeatedly. Each day they told me they were waiting to hear back from him thru the patient portal and changes often took several days despite the limited number of insurance approved sessions I had left. What frustrated me most was not feeling heard during important discussions about my care. When I questioned the treatment plan, I did not feel my concerns were fully addressed. In fact, at one point I felt intimidated by the way Dr. Nangia spoke to me and I felt pressured to agree to a plan I had concerns with. I understand that ultimately the physician has final say on medical decisions, but I also believe patients should feel empowered, respected, and comfortable with the treatment plan. I do not blame the medical assistants. Everyone I interacted with was intelligent, polite and professional. My concerns are primarily about communication, responsiveness, and what felt like a significant decline in the personalized care the practice once provided. When treatment concluded, I discussed with Dr. Nangia some of my frustrations with the delays and breakdowns that occurred. He thanked me for the feedback but offered no resolution, so I asked to be referred elsewhere. Less than an hour later, I get a message in their patient portal stating that he is no longer my provider, along with some referrals. Upon examination, some of the referrals didn't appear to be a good match for my treatment needs and history. I was hoping they could provide some help with the transition process but I had to figure it out myself. I'm still grateful for the help Dr. Nangia gave me during difficult periods earlier in my life, which makes this experience especially disappointing. After ten years as a patient, I no longer felt confident continuing my care there. I recently finished TMS treatment successfully with another provider, so leaving this practice was the correct decision for me.

Dr. Dufford returned my call promptly and he was very kind and understanding to my situation as usual. Sadly, Dr. Dufford was not able to fit me in as a returning patient at the time that I called, Dr. Dufford instead gave me a referral to two other Psychologists that specialize in treating the Complex PTSD that I suffer from and was recently diagnosed with. Dr. Michelle Chabbot was the Psychologist that I first reached out to following the multiple traumatic events that led to my Complex PTSD diagnoses and that caused my PTSD Panic Attack. I study Psychology myself, and I was very shaken when I contacted Dr. Chabbot, as I'd never experienced at PTSD Panic Attack before, and I never even knew that someone could suffer from something as terrible as a PTSD Panic Attack. Dr. Chabbot answered the phone immediately, and she was kind and caring enough to take the time to help me immediately. She even answered some emergency questions that I had regarding my recent Complex PTSD diagnoses and the PTSD Panic Attack that I suffered. Dr. Chabbot did all of this for me during her time off on the weekend, when she was out of town on vacation. Talking with Dr. Chabbot, meant so very much to me. I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Chabbot and I immediately knew that I was in good hands with regards to finding help to treat my Complex PTSD Disability. I'll be continuing my treatment with Dr. Chabbot moving forward, and I'll be sure to update my review along the way as well. I can tell Dr. Chabbot is an extremely gifted and knowledgeable Psychologist, and she is exceptionally knowledgeable and gifted in the area of PTSD especially. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Chabbot/Dr. Dufford, if you are ever in need. I also urge anyone reading this to reach out to Dr. Dufford/Dr. Chabbot if you are in any need of mental healthcare. It's vital to seek the aid of a Psychologist if you've ever experienced going through a traumatic life event (such as a car accident, workplace discrimination, domestic violence, Ableist bullying, really anything that happens that is traumatic in life, can potentially lead to PTSD I'm told. On top of this, in my own personal experience, PTSD appears to me to be a self fueling condition/ mental illness/disability, meaning that PTSD can worsen over time, if left untreated. What this means is that, it's vital to seek the help of a qualified mental healthcare professional immediately following a traumatic life event. If one doesn't immediately get the treatment that one needs, ones PTSD could quickly worsen, that and one could easily develop "layers" of PTSD, from multiple traumatic events as well. In addition to this, PTSD can also VERY QUICKLY develop into a life threatening condition/mental illness/disability, so please don't ever hesitate to get seek immediate help. Even if you just suspect you might need help, then immediately seek out that help as your mental health can quickly worsen, leaving you in a life threatening situation.

First, she was nearly 45 minutes late to my scheduled appointment, which was frustrating and unexpected. Second, I was surprised to receive an additional $388 charge labeled as a separate office visit (CPT 99214). During the wellness exam, Dr. Ramos casually asked if I had any other questions, and I briefly mentioned some minor ear itching and asked about continuing vitamin D3--a supplement she had previously recommended based on past labs. At no point was it made clear that these very brief and routine follow-up questions would be considered a separate, high-level billing item outside of the preventive care visit. I reached out to her office for clarification, as advised by the Sutter Health billing department, but unfortunately did not receive a resolution. My advice to others is this: during your preventive care visit, when the doctor greets you or casually asks "how are you?"--do not respond with anything health-related unless you are prepared to be charged for a non-preventive discussion. Even the most minor comment might result in an unexpected and costly bill. I hope the practice improves transparency around billing so patients can make informed decisions in real time and avoid surprises.
