I had both the fried fish and plantains as well as a pork griot. Although presentation was lacking, food had exceptional taste. The fish which was $25 was well seasoned so it made up for the hefty price. The medium pork griot was also fried and seasoned exceptionally. I was hesitant to try the the food here due to the previous reviews but everything was great. The Pikliz was the spiciest I've ever had... but it's winner and must try.

All the food did not fit into the picture. This is ONE meal and it came in the TWO containers. Great ! Stewed fish, rice, plantains, salad.

Someone surprised me by bringing me lunch from here. I had a HUGE whole snapper with a little red sauce that had onions in it. ( More sauce please! This was yummy, plus some leaked out in the bag) . It came with black rice (I had to research Haitian food to find this out - tasty), fried plantains (green plantains aka tostones -with sauce on the sauce) and this delicious slaw (pikliz) . The meal fed me for lunch and dinner, and also the kids had dinner from this nice sized portion. They are not stingy with the food. It was well seasoned and the pikliz is GREAT. You know it's good when you have to google to find out what something is called and how to make it ! I do not know alot about Haitian food, but I know great food , especially "island food" when I taste it. Check this out ! ps. They surprised me with stewed ox tail on another day, but I don't eat beef / pork. It looked good though. Can't wait for some more fish!

Good food and price for a meal to pick up on the way home! Order to go only and try some bakery goods too.

Food is good but you have to call ahead of time if you in a rush or if you have a short lunch

I think it's the only Haitian food in poinciana , to me the food is amazing . The fry goat with the black rice is to die for .

This is my favorite Haitian restaurant right now. It replaces Adventel Restaurant, another Haitian…read moreeatery that used to occupy this space. Even though there are tables and a counter, and an operating bathroom, this place functions more like a takeout window than a restaurant. I have come here many times already and very happy that they are still open, but I am yet to see people sitting down at the tables having dinner. It may change in the future. The food is excellent here. I always order the gryot, pork chunks, that comes with plantains, rice and beans, and salad. The pork is perfectly fried, never greasy or fried in subpar oil. This meal comes with a delicious sauce to dip and pour on everything, and the traditional pikliz or spicy cabbage. I must say that when this place first opened, the pikliz was spicy, as it should, but now it is less spicy. Either way, it is fresh and tasty. If food doesn't trigger you to visit, maybe knowing that the owner is an immigrant Haitian woman may motivate you to stop by.
