Griot????? What king of animal is this???
    Frances G.

I ordered griot with black rice but we don't know what kind of meat is this??? First time in 5 years+ that this happened to us. The yellow rice with beans has burnt taste and the pork is not pork. I would never ever again order from this place. Even my Haitian friend advice me not to.

Half of a large griot dinner. Huge portions!

My husband and I decided to try this place out for some good Haitian food. We had the Haitian patties (chicken and fish) and we both ordered the griot for dinner. The portions are huge! We both ordered a large, but ended up sharing one and now we will share the other one for dinner today. The patties were good, but could have used more filling to the ratio of crust. The crust was very flaky and tasty. I preferred the fish patty to the chicken. I believe it was salted cod with sauteed onions. The chicken didn't actually have chunks of chicken, but maybe minced chicken? I couldn't really tell. The griot was ok. It came with rice and beans, salad, and tostones. There was also a little container of gravy( too greasy) and pickled cabbage (pickliz)which was ok. I have had Haitian food from many different places and I would say this place is solid. It wasn't great, but for St. Lucie County, it is one of the better options.

Food is very fresh, I'm not familiar with Haitian food so I ordered the chicken, codfish, and guava patties.

The name has been changed to Three tides Caribbean restaurant!…read more I went last Thursday after reading the Very racist review from someone over 7 months ago. Claiming it was closed and that it was tacky (i know it's their opinion and some opinions are tailored to a group more than just giving good old fashion tips and objective observations .) The place looks like a tiki resort/bar. In my opinion, I liked it! They were able to make me a very delicious mocktail. I happen to go when they were doing inappropriate karaoke (which is a very fun loving group of people there every week with an amazing host and piaaannooooo man) The menu was priced nicely And the portion was big. I had enough to last me the next day. I order my absolute fav item (legume diri blan and sous pwa iykyk) it came with pikliz and Bannun. The rice was perfect. The legume was well seasons and plenty BEEF in it. Not SHESSSSSHHH at all. The pikliz was FYYYYAAHHHH it was the perfect level of spicy (not for moun blan who can't eat black pepper, it will clean your colons. lol) . Everything was perfection. I can't wait to go again next week Wednesday bc i heard they do line dancing. So if you're up for an adventure try it out. So far it's the best Haitian food spot in PSL in my books!!!

I called just as they opened to find out if the food was ready and I was told that it was. When we walked in, the manager (Gaylean) was laying down. She got up and didn't even greet us. We asked if there were any lunch specials and she said only on the griot and chicken. We ordered one of each and asked if we could order conch fritters and the manager had no idea what I was talking about. She asked to see a picture of it and I showed her. She then said they didn't have it and a minute later said let me check and never returned with an answer. As we waited we asked a few questions and she really didn't know the answer to any of them. She gave us weird looks. We waited for about 25 minutes even though she told me the food was ready over the phone. There is another picture on here that says the lunch special is $5, but we ended up paying $7 per plate. The food was not very good. The griot was tough and not very tasty. The chicken was dry and tasted old. The pickliz was not fresh and didn't have good flavor. The rice was decent. The tostone was good. The gravy given on the side was very good. Overall, I have to say, we won't be returning.
