KB Cafe seems highly recommended and there was a line out the door making me believe I was in for a treat. It's in a cute area with tons of outdoor seating. I honestly think I should've ordered a hot drink so maybe it's on me but the Iced Latte is listed on their menu. Even based on the color alone, you can see that it's mostly milk. The coffee was barely noticeable and I realize they use cold brew instead of espresso. They said they can't use espresso since it doesn't mix well with milk which I found interesting. If you come here, I would stick to hot/classic drinks instead.

They roast their own beans here. Friendly staff. All around great experience. Highly recommended.

The staff members are all very friendly and helpful. We ordered most days a mocha and a latte and they were so good each time. We only dined there once, but I wish we'd eaten there more. Lots of breakfast and lunch selections to choose from. The store is not very big and it did get busy a few times while we were there. There were about 8-10 tables and while busy, you can still have a nice conversation or sit and enjoy a moment to yourself . They also offer your coffee to go, if desired. Give them a try!

She told me I needed to get the pain au chocolat as they tend to run out. I got myself the ham and tomato thing as well as a big log covered in chocolate. I ate what I got on my flight back to LA. My friend was right. They make good stuff. I have to commend the person working. She was literally the only person out there. It was quite busy and she had her hands full

Upon entering the bakery, I was greeted by the aroma of butter and the sight of neat rows of fresh pastries. I really wanted to try one of everything, but I was determined to try the pain au chocolat, a personal favorite. Le Grenier a Pain's pain au chocolat was much larger and heartier than others I've tried yet retained its buttery-flakiness without feeling too heavy. I really enjoyed the pillowy texture of the pain au chocolat, which included a generous amount of chocolate folded inside. Paired with a cafe au lait, I was in heaven. The bakery is small yet inviting, and there was no seating indoors or outdoors. While I was hoping to enjoy my pastry on-the-go, it started pouring outside, so I was forced to huddle underneath the awning while I consumed my pain au chocolat. While I'd definitley come back for another pain au chocolat, I would also want to sample their savory pastries on my next visit.

One of my favorite spot in Paris!…read more I'll be honest, back when I lived in France I never spent too much time looking for nice spots to eat out, just because it seemed easier back then and France wasn't about reviewing and online sharing the good stuff (yes we can look greedy sometimes). But since that time I married someone from the great United States of America so you know my habits must have changed... Looking for a decent brunch place, we end up here. I already know Pigalle's neighbourhood and I planned on taking wifey to La Butte Montmartre to be tourists in my own country so might as well eat something nearby before. Here we are waiting for quite some time in front of Café Marlette on a sunny day of June. Finally getting a table outside, ordering two Le l'Ilôt for nearly 25€ each. In one word : worth it ;D I already know you don't need a description of the food, I took photos instead. Not the instagram filtered ones, real photos. The one I take so y'all can see what it looks like but that don't make you feel like it's an awesome place because of the photoshop work on it. The reason why you feel it's awesome, it's because I spent time writing about it. Food seemed real, something I missed while living overseas. Homemade, fresh juice and sweet hot chocolate. Carbs OD will happen for sure but I don't care. Service was friendly which I'm not used to when in France so shout out to the team for that. Gluten Free options are here for the weak bellies, and it's also a bakery so you can pick up pastries and eat them outside enjoying the streets of Paris (depending on where you go lol). It was such a nice spot, we spent a week in Paris and wifey asked to return to Café Marlette. So you guessed it, we went back there! Please go, try it, enjoy it and let me know how you felt about it. A bientôt!

And oui oui let me tell you how serendipity was alive and well for this Monsieur. I am warmly greeted in French is when I decided to sit and eat a warm breakfast like a true Parisian would do. Café seats on the walkway, this time I decide to dine inside to soak up the interior vibe. Such a warm and delicious ambiance with baked pastries, breads, & confections everywhere! I am handed the menu, all in French mind you, after all, we are in Paris, right?! ;) After perusing the menu and suggestions from the lovely all-in-one, hostess, waitress, barista... I decide on a breakfast set. My choice of scrambled eggs & bacon, fresh garden salad paired perfectly with light dressing, Pain au chocolat and le nutty toast with the freshest Fig jam brought a perfect balance to life. Freshly squeezed Orange juice to compliment & oh la la Cappuccino! The most adorable Parisian barista made me forget about yesterday. She was not only just the hostess, waitress, barista, but also a darn good singer :D As I enjoyed breakfast, I looked at all the patrons around me, tourists, Parisians, a toddler pointing at all the boujee confections, and the lovely lady sipping Latté in one lonely corner.

This is a two floor establishment. The upstairs floor is a bit cozier and also has a bathroom if needed. I got one of those cozy window seats where I just sat and enjoyed the view while I ate. The menu + payment is all done via QR Code so things are super easy. Also, they have this cool thing where the dishes come up via a machine of sorts from the ground floor to the main floor. Therefore, the waiters don't actually have to go to the kitchen to grab any food. I went ahead and chose the most provocative item: the Avocado Halloumi Benny. Damn that looked like a breakfast I'd get in the US. A nice and generous brioche bread. Generous amounts of Halloumi. The sun dried tomatoes added another bounce to it. The paprika too added the kick I needed. Then you add the egg. It almost felt like heaven. This kept me full till dinner! I washed it all off with a cold brew. I asked for milk too, but the waitress must have gotten confused and gave it to me black. In this case, it probably was better as this easily washed out the immaculate breakfast I had.
