We stopped on the way to the city. Looking for a quick spot to grab a bite. It is a Very expensive sandwich for what you get. Few slice of meat for $14.

Oui! A chic place to stop by for coffee and paaty. Loved the throw bean bag pillows they had on one section of the cafe. Paper straws ftw! Almond croissant was much needed!!! I had my iced latte... sad to have to cut down on caffeine these days :(

This will transport you straight to Paris!! When you walk in its pastry heaven but also a local bread shop with a sandwich shop!! It's perfect no matter what you want you can get it. I have been here 3 times since being in Canada for a month. The first time I went I had a chocolate croissant and coffee, second time I went I got a Canada cookie and the third time I went I had a cinnamon brioche, butter croissant and a latte.. I did not eat both pastries at one time lol Everything I had from here was amazing fresh and pure perfection!!

Cute cafe/ coffee shop downtown. They had a wide selection of coffees, teas, beer and wine. They also served soups and sandwiches. They all looked beautiful. I got a chai latte that was perfectly seasoned and not too sweet. They also have a lot of great looking deserts!

Clockwise from top left - pistachio danish, cinnamon brioche, cortado and Nutella latte

Went here for breakfast and afternoon snack and was pleased with both visits. All items ordered were very good especially the pastries.

Best coffee shop in Ottawa. You actually find yourself in Paris :) the chocolate almond croissant is the best well they have other best options too. The place is spacious and clean, staff are very friendly.

If you like a quiet place this is your cafe. We order the lunch special. It came with choosing any sandwich with soup or salad or fries. I got a soup with panini Cajun sandwich. It wasn't all perfect in terms of flavor but decent. The bread was extremely crispy and easily able to bite. This would be a perfect sandwich if your running late for work or wanted a quick bite. I also got the veggie cream soup. Spend $12.44.

I had a delicious Paris - brête (at least that's what I think it's called) However, the Wi-Fi didn't work well and the prices are a bit steep for my liking. Great ambiance with a lot of natural light coming through. If I ever have work to do that doesn't require wireless access I will definitely consider coming back to study and have pastry

This place is great; has a bunch of European style desserts that includes cakes and patties. In addition they have the full coffee expresso bar and soup/salad/sandwich. They offer WiFi and it's conveniently located blocks away from the Canadian parliament

I found the decaf Americano had too sour an aftertaste for me, but the orange chocolate chip cookie was good. The Long Version: I've heard of the Ottawa Bike Cafe and have been meaning to try it for some time now and have finally gotten around to it. My husband and I were on one of our "food and drink weekend adventures" where we go to a bunch of places that are new-to-us and get a little something to share at each place. Like a food crawl, lol. Anyway the Ottawa Bike Cafe was one of our stops. We got a medium decaf Americano ($3.70) and an Orange Chocolate Chip Cookie ($4). My husband liked the coffee and he rated it 4/5. He's more of a coffee connoisseur than I am, so his assessment on coffee is likely more trustworthy than mine, lol. I found the coffee bitter with too much of a sour aftertaste, but I'm one of those people who like flavoured syrup in my coffee (whereas my husband thinks flavoured coffee is gross and drinks his coffee black. We got the coffee black by the way). I enjoyed the Orange Chocolate Chip Cookie, although I only had a few small bites as the hubby ate most of it, haha. I liked that the orange flavour was noticeable. It was a nice twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookie. It was a bit too buttery for my preference and a tad too crumbly, but otherwise a pretty good cookie. Service was pleasant. The place was packed. Decor and ambiance I would describe as hipster cool. If you like popular places that are bustling, this is the place to be. I personally like quieter places with fewer people (although sadly this usually means that places I like don't always stick around). Our visit was in March. I imagine that this place is even busier in the summer. It's on the stretch of Sparks Street that is pedestrian only, so great for people watching if you sit by the window or on the patio during the warmer months when they have outdoor seating. Street parking only. Review #54 (2026)
