The Cà Phê Sữa Đá was soo good it might just be my favorite in the city. It is pretty caffeinated. It gets crowded on weekends so get there early!
I got the Iced vanilla matcha, it was really good and strong They offer some seating, and take their time to make the Matcha, but that's what makes it so good. It's a small shop, but seriously, a really good place to stop by if you're in the area
I've been meaning to come to this place for a while, and today was finally the day. It's smack in the middle of dimes square and a very IG worthy spot. There's seating outside as well as few seats with small tables inside. They have a pretty solid menu of coffee and tea drinks, as well as seasonal specials. I got the coconut matcha latte and it was very good. The service was friendly and I didn't have to wait too long for my drink. I'd definitely come back here again.
Sadly this $8 coffee was absolutely delicious. Afterwards I had to look up a recipe online because it was so good. The foam, the vanilla latte, the space and interior were really cute. I got the signature vani muơi latte. Very strong and I would keep coming back if it wasn't so expensive. The straw and cup were compostable.
Yuzu matcha tonic was absolutely delicious. The flavors were well balanced and not too sweet. A bit of a line on Sunday afternoon but not too long.
This is a cute coffee shop located in chinatown area and it is known for their strong Vietnamese coffee. I got the vanilla iced latte with salted cold cream on top. It was good. This coffee place is connected to a clothing store I saw. So you can shop and then have a strong coffee to fuel the rest of your day. This place has a few spots for indoor dinning and enjoying your drinks while there is also outdoor little seating too. I would come back here for sure.
I needed a pick-me-up and stopped by Le Gaz for their viet coffees! I got the ca phe muoi which was their ca phe sua da with salted cold foam. I really enjoyed the viet coffee itself with its bold bitterness and the condensed milk, but not sure how the salinity of the cold foam fit in. While I'm a fan of cold foam and sweet-savory combos, I think it was a little too salty to balance the other sweet/bitterness flavors going on. The chocolate chip cookie was solid! I really enjoyed the dark chocolate parts and the cookie itself was on the crispier side (instead of chewy). The store itself is really cute with a cozy interior and a little hallway that connects to the clothing shop next door. A few tables indoors but a good amount of outdoor tables when the weather is better. Staff were nice and polite. I'd be interested to check out their other drinks!!
This new Vietnamese coffee spot is the latest "it" spot in Dimes Square, joining Le Dive and Kiki's nearby. There's plenty of tempting pricey merch on offer, and lots of postcolonial memorabilia lining the walls. I went for the classic Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, which was characteristically sweet and I suspect highly caffeinated (we'll find out for sure tonight when I try to sleep). Definitely a fun spot for a hang if you find yourself in this neck of the woods.
the salted cold foam is absolutely delicious!!! my friend and i got the vani muoi latte and honestly the espresso was just ok, but perhaps i should have tried the vietnamese coffee since people rave about that the service was really quick and the seating inside was limited but we were able to get a couple seats. the vibes inside are super cute!
Food/drinks: actually STRONG!! Which I love, it's one of the few places in the city where you can get legit viet coffee Atmosphere: sooo cute! Tiny tables and maybe 3-4 inside tables but very well decorated Service: good! Typical Price: pricey.. ~$10 with tax but honestly would come back
Really love the coffee here. It's a classic Vietnamese iced coffee, but they also have a really good salted foam one (which has a Vietnamese coffee base), which I personally like just a bit more. A few seats to hang around, and some outdoor seating as well. Good place to start the morning, and there's a connected store next door with great clothes too.
This place is such a vibe! I met up with a few of my colleagues here before we started our work day since I was visiting the city, so it was nice that there was seating inside for us to chill and chat. We got there right as it opened , so we basically had the place to ourselves. My husband came along with me and ordered the cà phê sữa đá (vietnamese iced coffee) and I ordered a honey sesame latte with a pain au chocolat. There was only one guy working, but he made our orders pretty quickly. He was also so kind to ask if I wanted my pastry heated up, which I couldn't deny a warm pastry. The drinks were the perfect midweek pick up if anyone is looking for a good viet coffee spot. 10/10 would recommend
This is not a review of the Vietnamese coffee, which I honestly should've ordered to begin with, nor is it a review of the service as the baristas were kind and accommodating. That being said, I did not like the black sesame latte at all :( way too intense of sesame flavor, it felt like I was drinking sesame paste. The barista was kind enough to remake me a drink of my choice when I asked and I decided on the rose cardamom latte. I realized too late that I had ordered a tea latte, not a latte with espresso. The menu was divided into "Signature" and "Other" so I didn't think much of it but looking closer, I saw that "Other" was non caffeinated drinks. So the rose cardamom latte was not for me personally as it tasted like syrupy milk tea.

Y'all, I'm literally STILL thinking about my Coconut Matcha Latte!! This spot has been on my list to visit! We came at around 4pm, so it was unfortunately too late for me to try their Viet Iced Coffee options (bc it'll literally keep you up for the next 12 hrs...iykyk), so I opted for a less-caffeinated option. The drink altogether was $9.25 (base price + tax), WHEW! Highly rec leaving the sweetener level as is to fully taste the coconut flavor. It was DELISH!! The coconut doesn't taste artificial whatsoever and the condensed milk adds a lovely creamy taste. I almost inhaled my bev! Some seating inside, with additional seats outside. Le Gaz is also attached to a concept store (similar to Rhythm Zero/Bandit Running). Staff is overall super friendly. While the drink was on the pricier side, I will be back when I feel like treating myself!! read more

Le Gaz is aptly named as it is gas, and by gas, I mean rocket fuel. The cà phê sữa đá hit me with that strong, unapologetic Vietnamese coffee style: roasty, bitter, and sweet. Not for the faint of heart. Quick service, decent seating along the windows of the store, and connected to a clothing store so you can browse while you wait. read more

Omgggg got the vani muoi latte which is an iced vanilla latte with salted cold foam. Holy shit is it delicious. It was 9.5 with tip and tax but dang is it had. Glad I don't live close by at all. Lmao. The coffee shop is also so cute and there's a clothing store in the back. read more

Adorable cafe just nearby thinkChinatown! Which was where I was heading for an event. I arrived early and hadn't had breakfast yet so was super happy to find this place. However, they already ran out of Vietnamese coffee if you can believe that at 1130am! I ordered a cardamom latte and matcha latte. Also ordered a delicious donut! Would definitely return. The lines were long but moved quickly! read more
Hole in the wall coffee shop attached to Fugazi, specializing in Vietnamese style coffee. Simple menu with intense flavors that true to their Vietnamese influence. Not a ton of table seating but lots of benches. Didn't try the pastries but everything else looked fresh and tasty. read more
This place has been on my list for awhile so I finally checked it out on Memorial Day. I got the classic Vietnamese iced coffee. It was stronger than the one at Le Phin. I enjoyed both. There's a bathroom connected at the store. There's a bathroom code you need to ask for. If I'm in the neighborhood I would definitely come back again! read more

Review for: Viet iced coffee with condensed milk WOWWWW stronggg, just how I like it! Also, I appreciated it when the worker gave me a heads up that it might take 15min to get my order because he had a bunch of drinks to prepare. Love the decor of the coffee shop. I must go back to try the other drinks. read more
I think i need to try it again. Very welcoming, lots of space with their clothing store right next to it however its pretty busy even on weekdays. Service was really great. Friendly, inviting and they explained all the drinks to us. Drinks- salted cold foam was very solid with just enough salt to cut through however maybe there was just too much ratio where I was not able to really taste any coffee until the end. The matcha was okay. I think if they didnt batch make the matcha (i understand they're busy) and split it into 3 drinks then it would have been solid. i still had quite a few clumps in mine and so I would have the pockets of matcha. Maybe ask for less ice since temperature is picking up and starts watering down pretty quickly. read more
Why isn't there a menu up on the wall?? Anyway... I wished they made the Vietnamese coffee in true Vietnamese style, with a phinn!! True iced Vietnamese coffee except there was a tad bit too much ice and not enough condensed milk. Service is a bit on the slow side so don't come here if you're in a rush. This place is definitely for the much younger tattooed, artsy and hipster-ish crowd, not much older people people popping in (even for those stepping in for to-go orders). The spot is too cool for me and felt too old to be there. The seating is all wooden along the windows and the stools are metal, not very good for older people or if you have back problems. Lastly, they take cash but nothing more than a $50 dollar bill and need to order more than $25 to use a $50 bill. read more

such a gorgeous spot to grab some Vietnamese coffee!! the coffee is so smooth and the foam on top is delicious. loved that it wasn't overly sweet too. it is very strong also and i had it at like 6pm so it was def hard to fall asleep lol but such a wonderful drink! few spots to sit and some outlets too!! would absolutely come back and get it again read more
Great Vietnamese coffee + cute cafe vibe! I was walking past Le Gaz and doubled back because the vibes looked trendy but still really cute and then the menu is what drew me in. I ordered the Ca Phe Muoi which is Vietnamese coffee with a salted foam which was really tasty. I had been craving to try an egg coffee but this scratched a similar itch. Wowowow it's so easy to find a sea of cafes in New York, however it's rare to stumble upon one that checks all the boxes-unique menu, authentic, heating during the Winter. We ordered: Iced vanilla latte with salted cold foam Honey sesame oat latte That salted cold foam definitely hit the spot, so I can't imagine not coming back, plus this is located in Chinatown with cute, specialty shops closeby! read more

The baristas there is super friendly. Mentioned they roasted in house. Had a normal black tea and a small latte with a dash of vanilla. A little bit heavy handed on the vanilla. The coffee was smooth. But just another coffee shop that tastes more milky and less taste of coffee. Sad that the coffee beans flavor did not come out. It was washed out by the milk. First time try and may be my last time. read more
Coffee shop is chill and attached to the clothing shop. Definitely upgrade your order and get the cà phê muối, $8 (it's the vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk and salted cold foam). It's really good! The service is fast and the baristas are very chill. Not like a cozy cafe, but a chill one to pop in, have a coffee, chat, and leave. read more

Funky little coffee/matcha shop in LES. All the drinks seemed pretty sweet. Went with the matcha yuzu tonic because it was "lighter." Definitely refreshing and an interesting take on a matcha, can't say I don't like it but probably would not order again. Fast service during a busy afternoon rush. read more

I finally decided to stop by while I was in the area. I love Vietnamese coffee so this place has been on my list for a while. Vibes were nice - very sunny with some seating (but not really a place to get work done on your laptop). I wanted to get the Vietnamese coffee with salted foam, but they were out of the salted foam by the time I got there around noon on a weekday, so I just got a regular Vietnamese coffee. Coffee was solid, strong and very sweet (think it could've done with a little less condensed milk). I didn't stick around since I needed to find a place with WiFi but definitely a nice place if you're just chatting with friends or reading a book! read more

I've had two experiences here, and I'm now convinced that a good matcha is 70% the powder and 30% the execution. The first time I came in, I had the best iced matcha I've ever had in NYC - and trust me, I don't say that lightly, especially when it comes to matcha. I asked for iced matcha with regular milk and a little bit of simple syrup, and it was perfect. The matcha wasn't too milky or watered down; it was perfectly concentrated, smooth, and balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. What really impressed me was that it wasn't bitter at all, which is rare for matcha. The second time, the same barista wasn't there (the workers said her name is Chloe), and while it was still really decent, it didn't have the same wow factor. That said, I'd still pick this place for matcha over anywhere else in the city. The place itself is super inviting, and the service is always great - the workers are really friendly. I think it's a great place to catch up with friends. Definitely recommend it, especially if Chloe's the one making your matcha! read more
Yummy Vietnamese coffee! I like the strong coffee here - you can tell it's good by that specific shade of tan! There were a few small tables & bench seating - enough space for a quick pit stop but not enough to sit & use a computer. Service wasn't particularly fast but that comes with the drink ordered so no issue for me! read more
