Event Date: 01/15/2023 Time: 1-4pm…read more Love this venue. Over a month ago, I was looking for a venue to host my son's 1st Birthday. Ultimately, I selected Wee Gather because of the services they offered and the excellent reviews on Yelp. I originally requested January 8th as the party date, but Sierra (my party coordinator) said this date was no longer available and suggested January 15th, which I booked. I had the Custom Gathering which included venue rental for two hours (I paid $125 for an extra hour, for a total of three hours), setup + clean up, tables + chairs, themed event design + styling + decorating of event space, coordinator for the planning process, themed decor + serve water, balloon garland w/custom colors, flowers, coffee bar, fully stocked mini fridge, use of projector and patio area, and access to additional furnishings (which will have extra fees depending on what you rent). This info is from the from Wee Gather website. I booked the space on 12/2/22, a little over a month before the event (01/15/23). At the time of booking, the Custom Gathering w/extra hour + rental of cooler cost me $1,150 ($975 for the Custom Gathering, $125 the extra hour, and $50 for the cooler rental). On the website, the Custom Gathering now starts at $1,299. My party coordinator, Sierra Mathews, was excellent in executing the Super Mario theme of my son's 1st Birthday Party and was super responsive whenever I had inspiration pictures or any small changes to the proposal. I even toured the venue a couple of weeks before the event. Sierra, Oceana, and Amber decorated the space so beautifully and was so gracious to help my family and I bring in the food we had catered from various restaurants of my choosing (you can also request catering from Wee Gather, who most likely have connections to caterers). The projector came in handy because I made a PowerPoint with transitions to show the growth of my son over the year and also the speaker for the music. If you are looking for an awesome space to host a kid's birthday or baby shower, this is the place. The cost is totally worth it because I am a busy mom and Sierra and her team literally did everything, I just provided the inspiration photos for the them. All the guests had a good time and loved the theme. Although my son was a little fussy throughout the party (not used to so many people), I think he secretly enjoyed the party. Thank you again Sierra, Oceana, and Amber! :-) Most Photos were taken by Sierra, only one was taken by me.

Here's the revised version:…read more The owner contacted me and offered a free event, which I declined, requesting a refund instead. She then offered a 20% refund and asked me to change my review, which I again declined. She claimed that despite paying for full event planning services, the event was subpar because I hadn't been involved in planning it. They didn't call. They didn't ask me to go their warehouse. They didn't do anything until the week of the event, when they tried to fit me into their random available times to walk them through my space via FaceTime. To clarify, I paid $2,000 for someone to plan and orchestrate an event. What I received was maybe a $200-$300 setup, and it's apparently my fault for not planning the event I paid someone to plan. She argued that I should have requested changes during the setup. However, I wasn't home at the time. The whole point of hiring this service was to arrive at a fully set-up event with my guests. When I arrived, they were still setting up as my guests were arriving (even though they were supposed to have been gone by then). So, there wasn't time to make changes, and it would have been an awkward conversation anyway. Instead of blaming me, they should have done the job they were paid to do or not sold the package in the first place. To add insult to injury, she compared this situation to eating a pizza and then requesting a refund. This was over $2k. It's not even close to ordering a pizza and asking for a refund. She ripped me off. I stand by my request for a full refund. She should have offered that refund on her own. This event was pitiful. I will never use their services again or recommend them to anyone.

Right away Kirin was extremely collaborative, answering our questions about the venue and big picture items. About two months before our wedding, our lead planner Katey got involved and you could immediately tell how much of an expert she was helping us coordinate communications between vendors and giving us recommendations on layouts and day-of timelines. The actual day we could not have imagined anything better from the team. Katey kept the day flowing and was so proactive in coordinating all our vendors and friends that had important roles for the wedding. Throughout the day she was constantly keeping things moving while maintaining such a positive and fun attitude that big or small thing she needed us to do felt so exciting to us. There were so many things going on that day, it was so great to be able to trust Katey to know when and where we had to be. If you're looking for any level of wedding planning definitely go with TLC!

They helped with the design and the less fun details like rentals contracts, lighting and staying within budget. During the event itself, they took care of tons of details behind the scenes so we wouldn't have to, and checked in regularly to see how they could support us. They were also kind, fun, and thoughtful. I'd recommend working with them to anyone looking for support in planning their wedding.

Throughout the entire selection/planning process, each member of Wild Thyme was professional and quick to respond, which made it that much easier for us. Guests continue to rave about the food that Wild Thyme provided, noting that it was some of the best food at a wedding they have ever had. Some thought it was a restaurant and wanted to make a reservation! For anyone considering Wild Thyme, would give my highest recommendation, experience was A+ all throughout.

I asked a friend who is a chef and she said she used to work for Wild Thyme, I spoke to Sophie in the office and she quickly suggested a lunch menu of salads and sandwiches with cake and macarons for dessert. I asked to make changes and it was not a problem. She coordinated delivery of tables, chairs, and umbrellas on Friday. The catering team of Sasha and Sam arrived at 10:30 Sunday for 1 pm start. They used the garage as a staging area, Then they put out the tablecloths and paused so I could add the wreath centerpiece then put in the umbrellas. The buffet tables for, lunch, beverage station, and dessert were lined up and decorated along the side of the yard. They wrapped black tablecloths around our trash and recycling cans and bused the tables. We had coolers with beer and sodas but judging by the leftovers we could have gotten by with their tea and lemonade. This was like having a restaurant in the backyard. It is expensive but top quality and eliminates a lot of worry. I would do it again.
