The restaurant has changed ownership a couple times since my husband used to eat here 8 years ago during his lunch break apparently. We ducked in without a reservation on Friday at 12:20. Usually they recommend to call ahead to make a reservation. We picked Le marché du midi. 3 dishes. All were appropriate portions. 19€ per person.
Menu of the day
The entrees were perfect! The quiche was very light, well seasoned with plenty of dill. The foie gras was wonderful, and a subtle sweet aroma welcomes you.
The plats were spectacular. The chicken was succulent and delicious. The ballotine was also great. There were a couple bones, but that is to be expected since you're eating fish.
The desserts were also fantastic! The panacotta had the ideal consistency, and bounced when we switched plates to let each other taste. The pear crumble was also perfect! They really make good food with quality ingredients.
The setting. The server was friendly, professional, and attentive. They play pop music softly enough that you can talk to your partner. Outside they have a panel that carries their diamond motif, at first glance I thought that they were a jewelry pawn shop.
Overall Le diamant is a gem! Bon dégustation! read more
