The menu has pictures of how you want it, and I orginally ordered as "English" which was a step below "medium" as to the inside. When it came, it looked amazing, but when I cut into the end, it became clear that the steak was raw, with a barely warm external sear. Inside was raw, as in cold with the iron taste you get with raw meat. I asked them to redo the steak, and off it went and came back with a slightly higher temp on the outside, but exactly the same on the inside. As in no change. Game over. I cut the steak into 4 pieces, and laid them on my plate so that when the wait staff would come back, they would see exactly how raw things were. The waitress came, looked that I had not eaten the steak, and gave me a weird look when I said "I was finished". Off my dinner went, and as far as I was concerned, it was going to be consumed by the little dogs that roamed about as you eat. Imagine my surprise when the steak came back AGAIN, as if to try it one more time. Nope. Game over. Imagine my surprise when they took it away finally (to the dogs or garbage), and with a shrug, still made me pay for the $34EU for the nasty steak. Not even a discussion about taking it off our bill. I can't recommend the place. We were there when they opened, around 5pm, on a Tuesday, with no one else in the restaurant when we ordered.

We happened upon it just by looking up restaurants close to our hotel and it wound up being our favorite place we ate in our whole 10 days in Switzerland! The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. When you walk up, there are tables and chairs throughout the walkway and then an entire open area of tables off of the outside bar for a fun hangout. The building appears to be an old house turned restaurant and is so beautiful on the outside and so warm and inviting on the inside. The menu had accommodations for everyone - which is so nice as I am a lactose intolerant pescatarian! I got the beetroot and black bean burger both nights I was there and it was to die for!! I ate the entire thing both nights and just wanted more (it was a big burger though)!! I also had a watermelon spritz which was so refreshing! You can tell the owners/workers get to know their regulars as I saw them stopping by tables and chatting - which was just so fun to see! If you're in Zurich, I highly recommend popping by! My only regret was that I never saved room for the brownie dessert!

They have a great list of beers on a screen (it's a digital screen right?) noting the locations and more info about them. Many of the prices are pretty steep, but, I really enjoy the ambiance and the food, and the beer! Last time I came they had an Ethiopian pop-up, or whatever you call it. They were serving Ethiopian food for a limited amount of time. I ordered the veggie platter with different curries and it was really delicious, and so pretty too! I always have a great time here. The atmosphere is great for chatting, playing board games and just having a great time. The bartender's were super cool and helpful as well. Loved this place.
