We first ordered potatoes along with some guacamole, "Tapas A". Those are pretty good but not great and so we weren't super excited about what's to come. Every day the menu changes and it's a handwritten menu want to chalkboard, this is pretty cool. It's located near the hotel Warwick in Geneva Switzerland. It's also located near a lot of other restaurants and there's indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside on a beautiful day and it was definitely worth it. The service is stellar. We absolutely loved our server and the guy running the place. They were very funny and helpful. They didn't speak much English but there's definitely good communication between us. For dinner we got the cheeseburger, the best in Geneva, per reports.... cheeseburger was definitely good, very good! The vegetarian burger was even better!! And the chicken burger was also delicious so definitely a great place to eat! There were other Tapas choices as well so maybe we just picked wrong. They have tons of food options. The staff is very attentive and forthcoming with wine suggestions. The wine selection, albeit a little limited, is formidable... had two different red wines and they were both excellent. The tapas were also fantastic.. they had a few token Spanish tapas that were very well executed and some more creative interpretations. We shared the ham croquetttes (which rivaled my Spanish aunts croquettes... I hope she never reads this), the pulpo gallego (very tender and well seasoned), the piadine (very fresh) and the gyoza on special menu. All were very delicious!

I've walked by this structure every day on my way to and from work for two months without ever…read morestopping to wonder if it had a function. It's one of those iconic buildings that just become part of the scenery of a city. Well, it turns out that it's a restaurant/lounge, and one of the "in" places to go for drinks after work. The decor reminded me of Brooklyn or the Meat Packing District in New York, with a lot of exposed cement and pipes across the ceiling. The building must have been a loading dock or something, and they've basically hollowed out the place, set up tables and a bar, and jacked up the value of the old building. The long hall is divided between a dining area and drinking area. An island bar runs across the center of the narrow hall in the drinking portion of the building, leaving very little room on each side. I tend to spend most of my time either pressed against the window or dodging passers-by trying to make it to the other end of the bar. It's crowded, I've heard the food is mediocre on its best days, it's pricey, the music gets really loud as the night progresses, and they have maybe two red wines on the menu. But there's something about walking across a bridge to get to a bar that sits in the center of a European river that I find appealing. There are also old ferris wheel cars that have been converted into tables in the terrace area. A good go-to place when you're gathering people from both sides of the river, as this is dead center!

We had dinner there on a drizzly Monday evening and started with a couple of wines by the class on the terrace (we simply said "vin rouge" and "vin blanc" and didn't know what we were getting, but they served us very nice wines at a reasonable price). I had a pasta dish with octopus, which was delicious, and my hubby had steak, which he really enjoyed as well. At some point, it started to rain so we had to move inside for our meal and things got more interesting. They have fantastic vintage stuff inside, including a gorgeous lemon yellow Vespa, LV luggage, and as it turns out, the bar cart of our dreams! A couple of free limoncellos later, we were carrying home our gorgeous new bar cart (the damage was 200 CHF but well worth it, as it's the most unique wooden one we've ever come across!). All in all, it was a 300 CHF night out, but the memories are priceless!

They offer outdoor seating during the warmer months which is very nice and perfect for people watching. Their tapas platters are a good price for a group though next time I think I'd order a la carte and then share the tapas selections. Reservations not needed on a weeknight though the restaurant did fill up by later in the evening.
