He's worked on my boat and a bunch of people I know and the service is fantastic. I couldn't be happier with the service and the quality work done. Just be mindful that it is just the owner and his grandson working so it may take a little while to get your boat worked on but the quality and care of the work is worth the wait.

The manager laughed said it wasn't their fault, they didn't put it in the water, and a mechanic must have left the key on overnight. I only dropped it off to get the carburetors cleaned and the bilge pump repaired. I dropped it off once before for the yearly maintenance with 160 hours and picked it up with just over 200! I'm pretty sure they don't take it joy riding, but the increased hours lowers the resale value of the motor. I did not record the hours the first time, but this time I took a photo with my cell phone in the parking lot as I unhooked the trailer. My suspicions were confirmed as I took the second picture with the 16 extra hours. That's more time than I have put on the boat in the two years I've owned it! I was warned by a coworker about this company after I described my experience on social media. He was charged for parts that were never replaced. I retrieved my old receipts when I got home and noted that the upper fuel pump was replaced in February of that year, but I had just been charged again! I called the shop and asked for the faulty part that they took off since there must be a warranty, and the boat had only been on the water one time before it broke down. He stated that the mechanic thinks he replaced the upper fuel pump, but they did not have the old part anymore. I pointed out the part had just been replaced according to their February receipt. He stated that he was unaware that he had worked on the boat that recently and would refund the part. Both fuel pumps appear to have the same amount of dust covering them, but both are now signed, dated and photographed in case another mechanic tries to scam me. The previous owner swore by this mechanic, and had all of his maintenance completed here. I cannot recommend this business to anyone that I care about and caution anyone from conducting business with them.

We were on one the smaller loops. Was a lot quieter than the other ones LOL the swim area was full of boats by the afternoon. The trails are marked, when you drive in and go toward the swim area, you'll see the brown sign at the entrance along the right. We drove around and checked out all the sites, they have quite a few that can accommodate large RVs along with extra parking for a boat. If you pull up the satellite view on Recreation.gov you'll be able to view the spot numbers and layout that way. Perfect for sunset pictures! Seems a lot cleaner than past pictures. Read online that is was part of the push of why they stopped allowing day passes. COEs on the lake are only for camping reservations, which is great bc it was pretty busy, cam only imagine how crowded it would be if it was open to public as well.

Everything about the…read moreexperience was extremely streamlined from booking to filling out waivers to navigating to the marina. Willo gave superb instructions on operating and piloting the boat including an overview of relevant customs and laws while out on the water. Our group had six adults and one 2-year old and they had plenty of water safety devices for all ages. On a side note, it was wonderful to see how genuinely excited Willo was about Lake Travis once again having a healthy water level after several dry years. In terms of our experience on the lake, we got excellent advice on where to travel based on our team's interests and after following his directions it felt like we had arrived on our own private lake. We probably only saw a handful of other boats during our 3-hour excursion and that was only in passing. The boat came with a Garmin GPS that made it really easy to retrace our steps. For those wondering, there was excellent cell phone service out on the lake and we were able to use our phone GPS, make calls, and stream music. The boat had some nice integrated speakers with Bluetooth connectivity and we were able to jam out to our own tunes. There was also a cool flotation device attached to the back of the boat called the Aqua Lily Pad which we unrolled after anchoring, we had multiple adults laying on it without sinking into the lake. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and we would highly recommend booking with Float On.

It was our first time kayaking & we didn't know what to expect on the river but Linda quickly put us at ease. She was very knowledgeable about the river & explained how to navigate it & things to look out for. We were shuttled to the launch site, given a quick lesson on how to hold & use the paddles & we were on our way. Despite the heat, the river was pretty cool (glad we brought insulated water bottles & a cooler with snacks). It was peaceful & the water was calm & we made it to the end without tipping over. We saw lots of turtles, birds, even a few cows taking a dip. At the end two huge blue herons flew across the river right in front of us...it was a great experience & we can't wait to do it again. Highly recommend this company- the reservation process was easy (we just called the day before) & the everything was provided (dry bags & life vests included), the price is very reasonable & the local knowledge was exceptional.

There's at least 1 cat walking around and it's clearly been using several items in the place as scratch pads. One kayak had the flooring all torn up. The furniture with padding is disgusting! There are birds too. Cages were disgusting. Even the fish tank was gross. In fact, the place looks like it's owned by hoarder. There's stuff stashed in various areas. The more you look around, the more you see. Now on to the shopping experience. I told them what I was looking for and they directed me to a "salesman". He showed me what I was looking for which was outside covered in dirt. That's where his usefulness stopped. He had no clue about any of the kayaks I wanted to see. Told me the kayak had 800lb weight limit but it's actually 650lbs. When I asked where the floor inserts were he said they didn't come with them, but they actually do come with them already installed. Asked for a specific color and was told that color was "defective" and the manufacturer was recalling all of them, and that's another lie. When he realized I wasn't going to buy one right then and there, he proceeded to follow me around the store for the remainder of my visit. The only way he would've gotten closer was if he had ridden on my back! I ended up driving to San Marcos the same day and bought the exact kayak I wanted. If you buy anything from here, make sure you disinfect the hell out of it.

It had hair and scratches in the boats and furniture. Then there were bird cages that smells bad as well with almost black looking water in them. Fish tank didn't look too good either. There was a bag of open chips and other food items like salsa out in what looked like a break room, along with what looked like newspapers and trash laying around. It looked like hoarders storage unit. The boats were dirty and the kayaks were stacked on top of each other outside. So you had to move them to look at the other ones. It just looked completely unprofessional compared to other places. The sales guy didn't know anything. Everything he said was completely wrong from the pamphlet they have of the kayak I wanted sitting up front for anyone to take. If I can't get this kayak I want from anywhere else, then I'll just swim around.
