Went into quite a few dark, cold and uninviting locations as well as new showrooms. They all had the same type of chairs. Oh sure, they gave me their catalog on the way out. And what good is that? You need to sit in a chair to be able to tell if it's right for you. Well, Transfer Enterprises is not like that at all. This is a well lit location, great variety and the show room manager Asia is fantastic. She is very friendly and knowledgeable and didn't mind all my questions. I found my perfect chair at a fair price. It was loaded into my car and the wheels never touched the ground. You could tell they really cared about my purchase. Don't waste time searching, just come here and ask for Asia. She will help you find your office furniture too.

In addition to the wide assortment of furniture, you'll also find some small locally made goods, like candles and hair accessories. Jessica is pretty talented when it comes to refinishing furniture so we don't need to pay someone else for their time, since Jessica can do it just as well. She uses great colors, her prices are fair, and she gets some pretty quality pieces. So far we've bought a Thomasville french provincial dresser and a 1930's Art Deco vanity. She does have pretty nice costume jewelry (not really my thing I am a dude), paint for furniture, handmade soap and other assorted items (we got some pretty sweet porcelain door knobs too). We haven't attended one of her classes, but on Saturdays you can learn how to paint furniture (shabby chic style), and you leave with the piece you worked on. Laminate furniture appears to match prices you could get for new at Target, and it's dinged up here. I did find a very nice solid oak sofa table to refinish here last time, though, for only $50, so if you're here anyway for the affordable stuff, you might find a stray diamond in the rough.

"Nobody's perfect, how could anyone be? Nobody's perfect,…read moreespecially me" (Sheryl Crow) We were treated in a perfect, professional, friendly and very respectful manner by Geoffrey and Debbie when we brought in an old mahogany pedestal table for them to sell on consignment. Our table certainly isn't a fine antique, but unlike the way we were treated in a similar furniture store and a lamp store trying to sell other items, we were so impressed by the way we were treated here. Geoffrey has the bedside manner of an old country doctor, he was just fantastic the way he examined the table, pointed out various features to us, questioned us on its history, and gave us his assesment of the expected value. It was like being inside an episode of the Antiques Roadshow. He explained the consignment process to us and while we were walking around admiring everything in the store, Debbie had drawn up a contract and explained every step of the way to us. When the table sells, we split the proceeds 50/50 with Perfect Piece and that's fine with us. We were given a website and consignor number so we can check in on the sales status of the table. Regardless of how this transaction ends up, we had a FIVE STAR experience.
