LCPC Parent Education has truly changed my life. As a mother of two who had recently moved to a new community, I was searching for more than just activities for my children--I was hoping to find connection, friendship, and a sense of belonging. I found all of that at Parent Ed. It has given my children a wonderful place to learn, play, and grow, while giving me a community of parents to navigate motherhood alongside. Parent Ed is where I found friendships, support, and, most importantly, my village. By far, the best Mommy & Me! I'm so grateful to be part of such a special community and would recommend LCPC Parent Education to any parent looking for a place to connect, grow, and truly feel at home.

    Learning to play together

LCPC Parent Education has been one of the most meaningful parts of my parenting journey. I began with a mommy and me baby class for my son. I loved having a dedicated playgroup where he could explore, learn, and make friends. Just as important, I connected with other moms who were navigating the same early childhood stages. The shared moments--laughing together, comparing notes, supporting one another--became the foundation of a community I didn't even realize I was missing. Nannette and Jana offered thoughtful, practical guidance drawn from their many years of experience, and it made such a difference. What I love most is that Parent Ed doesn't end when your children outgrow Mommy & Me. It grows with you. There are classes for parents of every age and stage through young adult. In Sloan's Middle School class, parents meet without kids and learn research based techniques for supporting children through one of the most complex developmental phases, puberty! Sloan brings a calm, compassionate approach that helps parents stay steady, loving, and connected--even when tweens and teens are pushing boundaries or working through big emotions. It has been priceless for our family. Finding this program has been such a gift!

Our experience with Brella Pasadena is a warning to any family considering them…read more Because Brella's model requires prepaying to secure limited spots, we paid $3,296 when the booking window opened to transition our son from a nanny. He attended a single 2-hour trial visit on May 12. He was so distressed by the experience that when it came time to return, we could not get him out of the house. We requested a refund on May 14. What should have been a simple, humane response to a family whose child clearly could not tolerate the environment turned into a 10-week ordeal. Brella's stated policy is credit only, no refunds. When we asked them to look at our specific situation, they pointed us to a corporate Refund Exception Request process. We submitted it May 20. They acknowledged it June 2 and committed to a response within 30 days. They missed that deadline without so much as an update. When we followed up, we got a holding email. When we followed up again, we got another one. Their final answer, after two months, was a 50% refund as a 'goodwill gesture.' We got back $1,648. Brella kept $1,648 for care our child never received. Here is what should stick with anyone reading this: Brella made a choice. A full refund for a family that walked in once and left because the environment was wrong for their child would have cost them nothing but money they had not earned. They chose to keep half of it. In doing so, they chose to spend two months adding stress and frustration to a family already dealing with a difficult transition for their child. They chose to destroy any chance of us returning, and any chance of the many parents in our circles considering them. All to keep $1,648 they did not deserve. The local staff we interacted with were pleasant. That is not the story. The story is a company whose policies and corporate response are designed to protect their revenue at the direct expense of the families they claim to serve. If you are evaluating Brella for your child, know that a single unsuccessful trial visit can cost you thousands of dollars, and the corporate team will fight you every step of the way to keep as much of it as they can.

She is kind, loving and caring and it's so clear to see her strong passion to not only supporting my child but me as the mother as well. I love her gentle yet realistic approach of setting us up for success. I now feel like a new person with her help and getting him to nap in his crib. It's a very liberating feeling! It was just amazing to see the progress he (and we) made in such a short time frame. For context, we did another method of potty training six months ago that I felt pretty lukewarm about -- he was still struggling in a number of aspects and we were very frustrated and discouraged, hence reaching out to Ally and Lisa for help. From my initial inquiry, Ally and Lisa responded very promptly to schedule a call and developed the plan quickly as we had a very short time-frame we were working with. I especially appreciated how Ally and Lisa tailored the plan to our unique circumstances (extensive travel and move abroad). Their 24/7 text support was invaluable and I will be saving that text chain forever. I also feel better equipped to address inevitable challenges and regressions should they arise in the future. I really wish I had done Ally and Lisa's plan to begin with, would have saved a lot of time, effort, and headache. Thank you, thank you!

So we wanted to get our little ones equipped as soon as possible with the best lessons possible. With that said we looked around and found swimming success and we contacted them through email and set up appointments for lessons. I have to say that the email process did take a little longer than I would've expected, because sometimes it would be days before I would hear back from their contact. We finally got things situated where both our kids would be able to take lessons at the same time, which was exactly what we are looking for. I like how the website outlines what to expect out of the lessons and gives an overview of how the lessons will likely go. For the first 3 to 4 lessons my son was yelling and screaming for his life but by the fifth lesson he was confident enough to jump into the pool by himself! My daughter didn't really know how to swim at all when starting these lessons and by the eighth day, she was able to swim pretty much across the pool all by herself. That is very very impressive! The instructors pay close attention to each one of their students. They knowledgeable to know how far they can push the student to make big progress. The only thing that I did not like about about the lessons is that they mentioned at the end of the last lesson that my son might not be able to actually swim on his own until he turns 4 because usually at age 3 and below children are not able to hold up their bodies and lift up their neck because their muscles have not developed enough to do so yet. Had I known this, I would have waited a year and saved our money to put him in lessons next year. Now I'm a bit freaked out because he feels fully confident jumping in a pool that he is not able to swim in. Otherwise, I am very happy with the lessons they took! I was reading over other reviews and it seems there is a communication problem but this wasn't really the situation I had. They got back to me within a day or two, and they were extremely helpful over email. I would totally recommend giving them a try to get your kids to learn to swim. They will get the job done, but my advise would be to make sure your kid(s) are at least 4-5 years old. Otherwise you'll waste $300.

I was about to send her to summer camp and was nervous that she still was a poor swimmer. A friend recommended Swimming Success to me and my daughter was swimming by the 2nd day! I was thrilled! It took them two days to accomplish what the other swim lessons couldn't do in two years!! She ended up taking swim here for three years. My son is signed up for his fourth summer of taking the lessons, and I can't say enough positive things about them. In my experience the teachers have been incredibly kind and caring (he has had the same wonderful teacher every year!), and while they do tell the children they need to do certain things, it is never in a mean or unkind way. Both my children love to swim and spend all summer in the pool, so I am thrilled that they have gained such incredible skills at Swimming Success!!
