You are given a big, soft blanket to cover yourself with and a towel is placed on the head of the reclining seat for hygienic purposes. - The room was small and clean, but comforting. The salt grains on the floor are about the size of a dime. The walls are covered in salt and there's lights behind several salt art pieces. There's a small TV that I didn't use, but I assume it would play nature scenes. There was also quiet, rhythmic music playing in the background. With the start of your session the ceiling lights temporarily turn on and the salt machine starts releasing the particles. It creates a quiet hum like a ceiling fan in summer that lulls you to sleep. For the first half of the 45 minute treatment I took a nap, and for the second half I laid down the blanket and did some much-needed stretches on the floor. - I had just been on bed-rest for the past 3 weeks due to recovery from a very intense procedure, and I could feel phlegm backing up in my throat as a result of a 24/7 horizontal position. It was giving me a minor cough and shortness of breath when exercising. I could physically feel the difference during the experience of my airways opening up and I am finally able to take full breaths again!
