Asbury Pedalcycle - I am a fan!…read more This is a very cool and different activity to do in Asbury Park. Especially if you are with a crew who doesn't want to spend the entire day lounging on the beach. The bike is large and can fit around 15 or 16 peeps. If you have a big crew you can rent out the entire bike - perfect for a birthday party or group outing. The tour is 2 hours - the bike makes three thirty minute stops at various bars around town and you spend thirty minutes riding. Drinking is not permitted on the bike but you are able to drink at every stop! You also get a wristband that gives you access to various special at the bar. We stopped at Porta, Langosta and Anchors Bend. Even without drinking on the bike (NJ is lame) being on the bike is the best part. Our group had so much fun pedaling and rocking out to music. Plus, every single person on the streets of Asbury will wave at you and it is hilarious. The owner Jesse is the man. Such a great tour guide and is passionate about his business and making sure that people have a great time. Highly suggest taking a pedalcycle tour around AP - if you like biking and drinking you'll enjoy it!

You can bring your own beverages & food, the boat comes with a decent sized cooler, plenty of ice & complimentary water bottles. Once we were settled in it's off for a 2 hour cruise in Manahawkin Bay I think we were traveling at about 4-6 knots which was perfect for a slight breeze. A Bluetooth radio is on board & the motor is quiet enough to hear the music & have conversations. After about 40 minutes we anchored in the low part of the bay near other boats where the captain said we could hop in he water. The depth at that point was only about waist high. Floatation tubes & noodles are also provided on the boat. We hung out there for about another 40 minutes & then it was anchors up. On the return back to the dock we were already planning our next trip on the floating hut with a larger party @ the end of September. The captain said they run till October. They have 2 boats so you can have a larger group split up amongst both of them.

On November 1 the captain left the dock in…read moreGail force winds with seas around 10-15 feet to go out an offshore trip with the target species, Yellow fin tuna not being around for weeks. He thought if he could get a swordfish or two it might make the trip. The wind made it impossible for him to get to the spot he had planned so he just went to some where and hoped for the best. There was one big eye tuna caught. It was basically like winning the lottery the fish picked up a tile fish rig off the bottom in 700 of water. This was no more than a money grab to end the season.
