I recently ate at this restaurant and found it disgusting. My steak was covered in mushrooms that…read moretasted like vinegar. The steak had no flavor. The asparagus was about the size of a number 2 pencil and was greasy. Even though we each paid for our dinner separately, they required a 20 % tip. Our group of around 25 had one server, who also performed as the busboy, so our dinner was very slow. The wine looked to be about 4 ozs and was $12 per servings. We also had to dine on their patio with pesky flies everywhere. For this we paid over $200 for a meal we could not enjoy. As you can probably see, I was very unimpressed with this overrated restaurant and will NEVER eat there again.

We were right across from the downstairs door (honestly not realizing there are two separate places inside) and on entering decided we didn't even need to look upstairs. We also don't care about sports, ever, so that always steers us to pick a quiet corner instead of big-screen central. The atmosphere is spacious, flowing, inviting, with a choice between brighter and darker seating spaces. It was not very busy, so not loud, but I can imagine it could get rowdy if it was full! The menu looked great, wanted to try so many things- but since we were just snacking and getting back on the road we decided on the meat and cheese board... one of the best we have ever had. And we've had more than a few, in many places, for many prices. This one (on their menu in late July), was $16- an excellent price point for the variety, quality, and quantity! I wrote it down, to make sure they know how awesome we think it was: smoked duck, wild boar sausage, spicy beef salami (that one being our least fave), with 4 mini blocks of cheddar- smoked, aged, onion, sage. Also a personal fresh mini baguette and some cute little toasted spicy pepitas were served alongside. Good lord. So yummy. If you want burgers and fries, go upstairs- you will be missing out. I would like to add that the whole staff seemed to enjoy their jobs, were very welcoming and smiling and cordial. Heather was our wonderful bartender/server, who made us feel right at home (even though Minneapolis is quite far away!). THANK YOU to everyone for being awesome, for giving us a perfect small stop at the end of our vacation, we will be back to visit if ever we are close again!

However, you can get it on the side so I'll give them a pass. Second, it's the only place open at 7 AM with a short walk from the hotel. Ate there 2 times in two days and my coworker did the same. We covered four items on the menu for breakfast and zero complaints. Each cover is $10-15 and a good amount of food. It's quaint, quiet and the service is with a smile. They care about their food, which is locally sourced. The coffee is bottomless and quite good! Cash or check only but they have an ATM machine. I will return there every time I'm here!

Everything is fresh, of good quality, made to order. The staff is efficient and always friendly and upbeat. I would recommend the O My Gatto for the best breakfast sandwich in Helena and it is an extremely good value for the price. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches, specials, or pizzas. Need something made a little differently - just ask. If it is at all possible they will accommodate you. Fridays are Mexican day. Their nachos are to die for - your choice of toppings and either beef or chicken. My husband and I had a restaurant for many years and are very picky about our food and the service. It takes a lot to impress us, and we are definitely impressed with this place. It is truly a gem.

Service was quick and efficient, and my sandwich had an excellent filling-to-bread ratio, with decent but "the usual" ingredients. It was also extremely cheap. I'll be back to try out the specials sometime, and if you have business around the Capitol, or are visiting the Historical Society museum, this is a good, simple, quick, cheap place for lunch.

The ambience is great. The service and food could've been better. I ordered the filet mignon and my wife ordered the duck breast. We both requested that our meal to be prepared at medium rare. They both arrived, medium. The flavors and presentation was great. Both proteins though were cooked longer than what we prefer. The glass of wine that I requested to be served with dinner arrived when I was more than halfway done with my meal. The overall experience we agree does not justify going back again. I might recommend it to someone, but I would also let them know what our experience was.
