Fun spot to come by boat! I got a split bottle of champagne (it's about half the size of a normal bottle, about two glasses!) and for appetizers we shared conch fritters and garlic bread. The conch fritters were the best I've ever had! We went for lunch earlier today and I'm already in bed thinking about them and wanting to plan our next visit so I can get them again! For my main course I got the fried grouper sandwich, instead of fries I asked for a caesar salad. Super bummed because I was so excited to eat I forgot tot take a picture until I was almost done lol. The fried grouper was perfection! I actually took the fish out of the sandwich and ate it alone it was so good. Cute atmosphere and big windows looking out to the water!

A true dive bar, but one with really good food, albeit a limited drink menu (i.e. only beer and wine). We sat at the bar and had delicious fish spread, New England clam chowder, and Grilled Triple tail sandwich. Everyone was super friendly.

Great food! Highly recommend the ceaser with grouper! The only thing that brought my review down was the service. Our 1st server was extremely blunt and for some reason just left, we did not see her for the entire rest of our meal. My father had to go up to the bar to get a refill on his beer and to check if the oysters he ordered 20 minutes prior were coming and we had a second server come out. Our second server was extremely kind and refunded my dad for the oysters (which were brought out eventually) In summary great place good food, 4/5 stars.

Lazy Flamingo is a fun, laid-back spot with a local crowd, friendly service, and tasty bar food and fish. The marina views are a great bonus!

Delicious and large portion of grouper provided! Our server was very friendly and the cheap ice cold beers were great. Fun waterside vibe inside and outside. Easy to park, overall very enjoyable!

Perfect place to have lunch on a sunny breezy day. We sat out on the patio and we had their fish of the day (triple something) on their garlic bread instead of a bun. (per our waitresses suggestion.) It was amazing! Great coleslaw and fries!! Added a couple glasses of wine. The place was very busy yet very efficient. Nice afternoon.

We decided to go for a ride and take the Freck with us. So we headed out there on this beautiful blue sky no clouds warm afternoon. We usually go to the Pier and watch the pelicans, but today was different. We turned around and went to the Lazy Flamingo because they have some outside seating and are dog friendly. Our waitress Michele was very sweet and friendly and brought Freckles fresh water, Dave a beer and I had a glass of water with lemon. Dave ordered the fried Oyster platter with fries and Cole slaw. I had clams marinara over pasta. Both dishes were very tasty and accompanied by garlic bread. The view was lovely overlooking the marina. Lots of Pelicans, cranes and sea birds. It was just a lovely afternoon, relaxing enjoying good food and perfect weather!

We were staying in Cape Coral and we were looking for a great dive restaurant on the water. So glad we found this place on Yelp. First it wasn't easy to get to. Lots of hurricane destruction along the way. Great decor. Beautiful views. Lots of friendly staff. Izzy, our waitress was very attentive and kind. Lots of families and solo people and several groups of adults enjoying the seafood here. The steamed shrimp was phenomenal and the oysters were also delicious. The fish dip and grouper bites were great. I only wish I hadn't eaten a large breakfast. Enjoy!!!

    The clam chowder was delicious

YES! But of course even having a service dog myself, I know that ANY dog is required to be on its best behavior and that includes not barking or lunging...acts of an untrained dog. Our waiter had a cool stainless steel bowl of water for her before…

When we walked in, the place was hot and uncomfortable, as if the A/C wasn't working. We sat down anyway and ordered water, only to be told there was no ice available. We both ordered the same breakfast sandwich -- an everything bagel with sausage, egg, and American cheese -- along with a half order of biscuits and gravy. After waiting 39 minutes, the food finally came out, and it was wrong across the board. The sandwiches were served on croissants, and we were told you didn't have American cheese. My wife pointed out the mistake, and her plate was taken back. I kept mine because of how long we had already waited. When her replacement sandwich came out, it was on a plain bagel. When she reminded the server she ordered an everything bagel, she was told she could "put everything bagel seasoning on it herself." At that point, we decided to leave. The server told my wife the biscuits and gravy were removed from the bill -- which was the only thing handled correctly during the entire visit. We left frustrated, hungry, and disappointed. I am requesting a full refund for this visit. The level of service, accuracy, and professionalism we experienced does not match the reputation or the number of positive reviews your café has. I want you, as the owner, to be aware of how poorly this visit was handled.

Anyone looking to support a quiet waterfront community should certainly consider this gem. Parking in navigation can sometimes be tricky. So consider utilizing the paid parking and security offered by the Pineland Marina Safe Harbor next-door. The twisty windy Road past the historic post office, the Randall research center, and all the grounds of this archaeological treasure trove is worth the drive. But I would not encourage anybody to bike or walk due to limited unsafe pathways and frequent flooding. But once you find your sweet parking spot and don't have to worry about anything. Have lunch at the tarpon Lodge and then walk all through the community of pineland and gaze upon this country club-esque neighborhood that is anchored by an abandoned golf course. Local wildlife is rebounding in this potential preserve. Bird watches especially have opportunities to check rare sightings off of their ornithology list. Including spring time elusives like the Chuck Wills Widow nightjar, white pelicans, juvenile bald eagles looking for their life mates, pileated woodpeckers and so much more. And if you're lucky and you play your cards right, a local might give you a couple fishing tips and some secret spots. So always have a fishing pole and bait ready.

This past Friday our kids were visiting and insisted on going to YW and so we did. Folks, the storm clouds have parted! The ship came in! The underdog horse won the race. We "got over Macho Grande." Our party of five, including a three year old, were served by Ashton, who never missed a step. My escargot was done differently than before, much better, with tasty garlic bread which is HUGE improvement over the stale mini roll from before. My wife's Taco Salad, son's Blackened Shrimp, Daughter-in-law's fried shrimp and grandson's burgers were all perfect. While I didn't try their dishes, the adults food looked like it came from a master chef. If you, like us, had a bad experience a year ago and stopped coming to Yucatán...it's time to go back.

The food was solid and the waterfront atmosphere was as charming as ever. Unfortunately, the payment process turned a good meal into a frustrating mess. After lunch, our server brought a handheld credit card terminal. We tried swiping our card multiple times, but the machine kept failing to read it. Assuming the payment hadn't gone through, we paid in cash and left. The next day, I checked my statements and discovered the card had been charged anyway. I called the restaurant several times to resolve the double payment, but no one ever returned my calls. I even contacted Mastercard, but they couldn't help directly. The meal itself was enjoyable, but the complete lack of communication and follow-up on the billing error left us feeling disrespected. Bottom line: We won't be returning. If you're looking for a great waterfront meal in the area, there are far more reliable options, including: * Blue Dog Bar & Grill * Tarpon Lodge * Phuzzy's Boat Shack * Miceli's Restaurant * and so many more ... plus many other excellent local restaurants. Skip Yucatán until they fix their payment and customer service issues. I hope the next time we drive by we see a sign that says "under new management"
