Above average tavern fare, great Matlacha feel and the spreader out back where you can sit back, relax and watch the boats go by. Literal paradise. Our go-to's are the Ahi Tuna Nachos with copious amounts of tuna, seaweed salad, wasabi mayo and sriracha. Steamers come with what I consider the best broth I've ever had and the Calamari w/ home made marinara. Servers are quick, friendly and efficient. Live bands every night and Happy Hour everyday from 11 - 7. On season, the parking and seating become hard to come by. Oh and the outdoor area is dog friendly. read more

Our first time at Miceli's and really didn't know what to expect. It looks much bigger and cleaner in person. The tiki area looks fun and festive. They do have live music on certain nights which is a plus. The staff was friendly, attentive and cheerful however the food leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered the macadamias coconut crusted mahi and it lacked flavor even with the banana rum sauce.. The broccoli that came with my meal was bland but on the upside the sweet potato fries were great. My husband had the mussels which he said were 'ok'. I believe than on another night where theres music playing and people vibing you may enjoy coming here; however do not expect on having a great meal but just typical bar food to absorb the alcohol if you are drinking. read more

The crab cakes are my favorite! I have to eat gluten/wheat free and these are perfect! There's no flour! They are the best with so much crab and flavor. Please don't ever take them off the menu. The fish food by the dock is an extra bonus too. read more

Ordered a grilled grouper sandwich with crispy fries with remoulade sauce to lather on my fish. Had a cold Hi-5 local craft beer to wash down my meal. OMG...the fish was huge and fresh for $22.00. A large variety of seafood, burgers, and pasta dishes. By now, I should have read my previous review to figure out what I ate the last time. Long story short, I ordered the grouper bites again. In this particular order, the grouper had a distinct "fishy" taste. I wish I had tried something different. I know I will be back for another visit. We had a large group of six people and three separate checks. The server could have added the large group charge, but didn't. Grouper was good, a tad fishy tasting. The sauce that came with grouper nuggets was so good!The normal fries were really good. Sweet potatoes fries nothing special and would not get again. A large pizza was big enough to feed 4 adults, 2 slices each. You could tell the veggies were fresh cut and big pieces. Pizza could have used more sausage. The garlic crust was nice but not as flavorful as I was expecting. Drinks were decent, in the patio they served in plastic cups. Happy hour deals not super advertised. We arrived at the fun waterfront restaurant and waited about an hour. But we expected that when we stopped so it was okay. Had a cocktail while waiting. Mike Imbasciani band was playing. Excellent musician and phenomenal cover band. Everybody was enjoying the music. Weather was perfect. Fun vibe. I had a Philly cheese grinder. While it wasn't what I think of as a grinder, it's more of a sub, it was good. My sister loved her shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, my brothers pizza was great. Service was good, not great. I ordered the MD style crab cake sandwich (I was warned by my fellow Maryland friend not to but did anyway).... it was not MD style on any level. The cake was smashed flat (who does that?), did have filler, and these weird green chuncks. I couldn't figure out what the green stuff was. That is now how a MD style crab cake is made..... Grabbed an early dinner at Miceli's recently; first time I've been back since before Hurricane Ian. Miceli's used to be one of our favorite restaurants but unfortunately they missed the mark this time. Service was great, our server was attentive and friendly but food was bland. The only thing we'd recommend was the island bread, that was delicious although the tomato's could have been riper. I had the chicken Alfredo with bruschetta topping and none of it had flavor. My daughter's chicken tenders were dry and my dad's shrimp was over cooked. Hoping the quality gets back to where it used to be. read more

My husband wanted to visit Micelis since seeing a news story on them. We got our chance this past Saturday, when see stopped by for lunch. We chose to sit at one of their waterfront tables. It was breezy but beautiful. Our server was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered an appetizer of fried pickles and both ordered the grouper sandwich. The fried pickles were ok. They needed to be fried just a little longer. The grouper sandwiches were amazing. You get a huge piece of fish. The grouper was flaky and very delicious! Absolutely no complaints there! Where Micelis did lose a point was in their restroom. While very clean, it smelled similar to an outdoor latrine and made me wish I hadn't had to make a visit there before eating. read more

Went out last night, had a tall older waiter serving us outside. We had a friend come meet us and she ordered a drink. Her drink came 15 minutes later, which is fine they were busy, and when he brought her the drink i asked for a beer and he said "aww man you gotta order when she orders so im not running back and fourth" and i was confused and then he went on to say "im just giving you a hard time but this is a good teaching moment for you." we find a big difference after hurricane Ian... Somehow the bar got 2 of our 10 drinks wrong, 2 of the 10 dinners in particular the stuffed flounder was just OK. If the place was busy, then they could have an excuse, but there was not a soul in the place besides us. So, what does that tell ya??? We won't be going back again! My son and I had a late lunch. We ordered two starters, tuna tacos and lobster bites. Both were delicious. I am not always keen on tuna, but these tacos were amazing. I had the grouper sandwich and it was perfect. We also enjoyed a couple of the in-house cocktail creations which were great. The atmosphere is FL fish house. Comfortable, but nothing fancy. The service was polite and prompt. The lack of romantic atmosphere should not deter you from a date night if you want a really delicious meal. Finally went here for the first time. Ordered the calamari appetizer, which was crunchy. It should have been cooked less time. Same for my fried shrimp. I got the grouper and shrimp combo. The grouper was really good. The shrimp was super crunchy and overcooked so you couldn't really taste the shrimp. Service was very good. read more

Great spot close to our condo in Cape Coral. Miceli's has waterfront seating out back with live music most nights. We went on a Monday at 5ish and the place was packed with old snowbirds and their visitors. Ran into some fellow Spartans and the singer with the was a Spartan! The cheese pizza was great for the kids, the mahi mahi fish dip was just ok. Kinda weird with just saltines and cucumbers and jalapeño slices, but not bad. The seafood sampler was $29.99 and came with two sides. Cocktail sauce was great with the grouper, and the calamari and squid were fried nicely. The Kona beers on tap were good. Boys loved the brownie sundaes. We ordered two and each one came with three scoops of ice cream and a huge brownie, so it was enough for all 5 of us. By far the best meal we had this week. Karla the server was funny, cool and pointed out Mike Zunino and Johnny Mel to us. We didn't bug them but it was cool their boisterous back-and-forth. We stopped in while kayaking, they have several boat and kayak slots. Great music, great service (thank you G'orge!). They have a large variety for food, though not a lot of vegetarian selections, and a great drink selection. Chill venue with indoor and outdoor seating. Appears dog friendly (cats and dogs on site). We went for an early dinner. The place was not busy so we were seated quickly. We had the prime rib. It was overcooked and thinly sliced with little flavor. The mozzarella appetizer was good. The fish and chips was very very greasy and more batter than fish. I sent it back as there was a hard center to the fish. The fries were ok. The pizza was a very average pizza. Crab cakes were good as was the pretzel appetizer. The fish and shrimp basket was also very greasy. Dessert was the best part. We had the tiramisu and the key lime pie. Both were good. Miceli's Waterfront Restaurant: Stopped by Miceli's in Matlacha today. I had heard that new owners took over a couple months back. So I thought I would stop in and grab some food and listen to the band for a while. First of all let me say I love the Matlacha area and support the people that have businesses in that area as much as I can. When I arrived about 4:50pm as the band was in their final preparations of setting up. We found the place was not full inside and 3 or 4 empty tables outside. We grabbed one by the stage and by the way they moved the stage area since the last time we were there. I do believe it's better located now. The waiter was friendly and took our drink order fast. when the drinks came out he gave my wife unsweet tea when she ordered sweet tea. We immediately told him and he gladly exchanged it. I don't want to hold that against him as when he took our order the band was playing and it was very hard to hear each other. Once the band Stolen Fruit played the vibe of the entire place got better and much lighter. The waiter took our order and it did seem to take a long while to get our food but to tell you the truth it was much easier waiting for food while listening to the Stolen Fruit band sing songs from the 70s to the 80s. I ordered the Mai Mai blacken sandwich which had tomato and onions on it with a side of french fries and 2 extra Tartar sauces. The wife had the Angus burger with tomato's onions and pickles plus a salad instead of french fries. The blackened Mai Mai sandwich was superb and guess what they did not forget my 2 Tartar sauces. Most places seem to goof up the little things this place did not. My wifes burger was very good and she ate the entire burger but not all the bread. She stated she was too full to eat all the bread that came with it even though the bread was toasted just the way she likes it. All in all this place had one of the best vibes and the food we had was pretty darn good. I would say definitely stop by for some fun and great food to boot. Like Arnold said, I'll be back. I give this place 4 thumbs up out of 5. They are open 7 days a week and even have a sunday brunch buffet from 10 to 2. They have music most every day but check their schedule for times.
