Not a tourist trap in Matlacha with great grilled grouper, cold beers, Monday pizza deals and nightly live music on the waterfront patio. The server Amber was attentive and chatty. Ordered a grilled grouper sandwich with crispy fries with remoulade sauce to lather on my fish. Had a cold Hi-5 local craft beer to wash down my meal. OMG...the fish was huge and fresh for $22.00. Aside from the great food, the wooden stage on the large patio was the focal point of the restaurant. It was freezing out today so everyone was eating inside but I had to take a peek. The gender assigned bathroom was spotless and added modern decor to the tiki style eatery. Wall mounted mosaic mirror with floor to ceiling tiled walls.

A large variety of seafood, burgers, and pasta dishes. By now, I should have read my previous review to figure out what I ate the last time. Long story short, I ordered the grouper bites again. In this particular order, the grouper had a distinct "fishy" taste. I wish I had tried something different. I know I will be back for another visit. We had a large group of six people and three separate checks. The server could have added the large group charge, but didn't. It is so much fun sitting outside and watching the boats moving up and down the channel.

We arrived at the fun waterfront restaurant and waited about an hour. But we expected that when we stopped so it was okay. Had a cocktail while waiting. Mike Imbasciani band was playing. Excellent musician and phenomenal cover band. Everybody was enjoying the music. Weather was perfect. Fun vibe. I had a Philly cheese grinder. While it wasn't what I think of as a grinder, it's more of a sub, it was good. My sister loved her shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, my brothers pizza was great. Service was good, not great. But they were hustling that's for sure. Good find.

We love Micelis! Laidback, good music, good food, reasonable price, it is our favorite local restaurant. During season this place can be packed and parking hard to find. But in off season, it is perfect! We always order two appetizers - tuna nachos and steamers! Their grouper ruben is wonderful!

Grabbed an early dinner at Miceli's recently; first time I've been back since before Hurricane Ian. Miceli's used to be one of our favorite restaurants but unfortunately they missed the mark this time. Service was great, our server was attentive and friendly but food was bland. The only thing we'd recommend was the island bread, that was delicious although the tomato's could have been riper. I had the chicken Alfredo with bruschetta topping and none of it had flavor. My daughter's chicken tenders were dry and my dad's shrimp was over cooked. Hoping the quality gets back to where it used to be.

Nice local spot with inside and outside seating by the water. Classic hometown restaurant type feel. The menu is interesting and didn't really follow any theme I could figure out. They have Italian food, pasta and pizza. Then have seafood and other random items too. Nonetheless, ordered the group sandwich and it was solid. Sweet potato fries were good as well. Service was friendly and upbeat. I would return!

My husband wanted to visit Micelis since seeing a news story on them. We got our chance this past Saturday, when see stopped by for lunch. We chose to sit at one of their waterfront tables. It was breezy but beautiful. Our server was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered an appetizer of fried pickles and both ordered the grouper sandwich. The fried pickles were ok. They needed to be fried just a little longer. The grouper sandwiches were amazing. You get a huge piece of fish. The grouper was flaky and very delicious! Absolutely no complaints there! Where Micelis did lose a point was in their restroom. While very clean, it smelled similar to an outdoor latrine and made me wish I hadn't had to make a visit there before eating.

In town visiting family and they recommended this place for the great atmosphere and food. Loved the patio area by the canal. Live music, boats driving through, and great service. Started with drinks and a few appetizers. I had the chicken Parmesan and my husband had a French dip. Our son had wings and fries. The tuna nachos and fried mozzarella were also enjoyed by all. Food was really good. Large portions. Everything came out quick and hot, even though they were super busy. We will be back next time we are in town!

Ordered a jumbo shrimp platter. The onion rings were good not great. Not very warm. My wife got the crab cakes she said they were delicious with little filler. The restaurant was waterfront in a great location I would try this again

Unique location on Matlacha with good food, service with both inside and outside seating. One of the few remains after the hurricane.

Everything is handmade and it definitely shows. The first thing they brought out was their soft breadsticks brushed either butter and oil with balsamic. Amazing, breadsticks tasted like they were fresh out of the oven, hot, buttery and soft. They were gone before I could take a picture. We ordered the garlic knots. I was expecting dough rolled up and twisted. Nope these were square biscuit looking, with just the right amount of butter, parm and seasoning. They came with homemade marinara that was tasty either way just a touch of sweet. 2 of us ordered the chicken and shrimp Alfredo with Penne and one ordered the chicken and broccoli Alfredo. The dishes checked all the boxes. The portions were large, the process right and we all had to get to go boxes. The staff brought us small containers with some extra Alfredo. You could definitely taste the pride and homemade touches in the food. I'll definitely be back.

Does a restaurant have to be authentic to make it worthwhile? Not necessarily. If the food tastes…read moregood and the price is right, I'm okay with that. If two of you want salad, share a large order of what they call Greek salad -- which isn't Greek! It's got sliced green olives, tomatoes, feta crumbles and strips of boiled ham on top of romaine. For the extra dollar, you're getting a little more pizzaz than the regular house salad. While not on the menu, you can ask for chicken piccata -- which isn't really piccata. Sort of a variation of marsala, it's not bad. BUT you get an overload of pasta and only two small and thin slices of chicken. The dish needs at least another slice, even if they have to charge more. House wines are reasonably priced at $28 a bottle. We stick with merlot. And what's REALLY good are their $4 cannoli's. Fatto A Mano is a neighborhood joint, popular with an older crowd. Servers are friendly and on-the-ball. While not the best restaurant in town, I'm glad it's there for a quick and casual meal.
