    Best crab cakes ever!

The crab cakes are my favorite! I have to eat gluten/wheat free and these are perfect! There's no flour! They are the best with so much crab and flavor. Please don't ever take them off the menu. The fish food by the dock is an extra bonus too.

Not a tourist trap in Matlacha with great grilled grouper, cold beers, Monday pizza deals and nightly live music on the waterfront patio. The server Amber was attentive and chatty. Ordered a grilled grouper sandwich with crispy fries with remoulade sauce to lather on my fish. Had a cold Hi-5 local craft beer to wash down my meal. OMG...the fish was huge and fresh for $22.00. Aside from the great food, the wooden stage on the large patio was the focal point of the restaurant. It was freezing out today so everyone was eating inside but I had to take a peek. The gender assigned bathroom was spotless and added modern decor to the tiki style eatery. Wall mounted mosaic mirror with floor to ceiling tiled walls.

A large variety of seafood, burgers, and pasta dishes. By now, I should have read my previous review to figure out what I ate the last time. Long story short, I ordered the grouper bites again. In this particular order, the grouper had a distinct "fishy" taste. I wish I had tried something different. I know I will be back for another visit. We had a large group of six people and three separate checks. The server could have added the large group charge, but didn't. It is so much fun sitting outside and watching the boats moving up and down the channel.

Great outside area, lots of seating and water views. Some tables covered and TVs under the patio area. Live music can be loud depending on where you are sitting. Grouper was good, a tad fishy tasting. The sauce that came with grouper nuggets was so good! The normal fries were really good. Sweet potatoes fries nothing special and would not get again. A large pizza was big enough to feed 4 adults, 2 slices each. You could tell the veggies were fresh cut and big pieces. Pizza could have used more sausage. The garlic crust was nice but not as flavorful as I was expecting. Drinks were decent, in the patio they served in plastic cups. Happy hour deals not super advertised. We did get the sliders and pizza bread from happy hour to start. Parking is difficult. Lot is small and many nearby areas are no parking.

We arrived at the fun waterfront restaurant and waited about an hour. But we expected that when we stopped so it was okay. Had a cocktail while waiting. Mike Imbasciani band was playing. Excellent musician and phenomenal cover band. Everybody was enjoying the music. Weather was perfect. Fun vibe. I had a Philly cheese grinder. While it wasn't what I think of as a grinder, it's more of a sub, it was good. My sister loved her shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, my brothers pizza was great. Service was good, not great. But they were hustling that's for sure. Good find.

We love Micelis! Laidback, good music, good food, reasonable price, it is our favorite local restaurant. During season this place can be packed and parking hard to find. But in off season, it is perfect! We always order two appetizers - tuna nachos and steamers! Their grouper ruben is wonderful!

Grabbed an early dinner at Miceli's recently; first time I've been back since before Hurricane Ian. Miceli's used to be one of our favorite restaurants but unfortunately they missed the mark this time. Service was great, our server was attentive and friendly but food was bland. The only thing we'd recommend was the island bread, that was delicious although the tomato's could have been riper. I had the chicken Alfredo with bruschetta topping and none of it had flavor. My daughter's chicken tenders were dry and my dad's shrimp was over cooked. Hoping the quality gets back to where it used to be.

Nice local spot with inside and outside seating by the water. Classic hometown restaurant type feel. The menu is interesting and didn't really follow any theme I could figure out. They have Italian food, pasta and pizza. Then have seafood and other random items too. Nonetheless, ordered the group sandwich and it was solid. Sweet potato fries were good as well. Service was friendly and upbeat. I would return!

My husband wanted to visit Micelis since seeing a news story on them. We got our chance this past Saturday, when see stopped by for lunch. We chose to sit at one of their waterfront tables. It was breezy but beautiful. Our server was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered an appetizer of fried pickles and both ordered the grouper sandwich. The fried pickles were ok. They needed to be fried just a little longer. The grouper sandwiches were amazing. You get a huge piece of fish. The grouper was flaky and very delicious! Absolutely no complaints there! Where Micelis did lose a point was in their restroom. While very clean, it smelled similar to an outdoor latrine and made me wish I hadn't had to make a visit there before eating.

In town visiting family and they recommended this place for the great atmosphere and food. Loved the patio area by the canal. Live music, boats driving through, and great service. Started with drinks and a few appetizers. I had the chicken Parmesan and my husband had a French dip. Our son had wings and fries. The tuna nachos and fried mozzarella were also enjoyed by all. Food was really good. Large portions. Everything came out quick and hot, even though they were super busy. We will be back next time we are in town!

Ordered a jumbo shrimp platter. The onion rings were good not great. Not very warm. My wife got the crab cakes she said they were delicious with little filler. The restaurant was waterfront in a great location I would try this again

Shrimp scampi, half gone, wish it was fresh but still good.

Would definitely recommend the pizza. By far best had in a long time. Goes great with their brandy slushy.

Unique location on Matlacha with good food, service with both inside and outside seating. One of the few remains after the hurricane.

Cielo has always been our favorite island restaurant and we always look forward to dining there which made tonight's dinner all the more disappointing. My wife had the mussels for an appetizer. The broth was rather bland. I had the tuna which was old and the dish had nothing that complimented or contrasted the tuna. For my entree I had the pork chop. I was really looking forward to it. When I have had it in the past it was tender and juicy. This time it was overcooked and bone dry. I do have to say that my brother in law also had it also and his was perfectly prepared. My wife had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. It was passed around the table but not finished. The ambience was refined and comfortable as always. We have always experienced superb service here at Cielo. Today's was ordinary. When I commented on my entree to my waitress I could tell the feedback wasn't going any farther and she really did not know how to respond or care.

With reservations for a birthday dinner we were a little early but seated right away in a busy dining room. I ordered a Shrimp Livornaise with housemade pasta. The dish was tasty and the shrimp were large but the pasta was minimal and just ok. We split a Cedar salad and saw a $5 charge on our bill for the kitchen splitting the salad, of which we were not informed when ordering. Also our bill included a 3% "COST OF DOING BUSINESS" charge when first presented, not knowing if we were paying by Cash or Credit card. Not the same experience as our first visit.
