Just passing through town and needed some dinner on a Sunday evening, so we whipped in here. Fabulous food, amazing service, and super friendly clientele. It was like going to someone's house party, they all just included us in with the group! Tom Norton was the entertainment for the evening, and could he play! Old classics right up to today. We haven't been to stingers since the last location burned down. Coming through Cahokia we decided to stop and try it out. The new place is clean and has plenty of seating. There is a Full Bar too!!! We decided to try the pizza. The large is a 16". The pizza is cooked in a wood fire oven and is hand tossed. The pizza came out hot and yummy. We also tried the Mac n cheese bites. Some of the best we have had!!! There are plenty of TV'S to catch a game. The staff are very friendly and you can tell the regulars. We thought we were in the middle of a family reunion which was Awesome!!! Breakfast is also offered. We will be going back!! Glad Stingers is back!!! read more

The food is really good. Every time I go I get a burger and I've heard that their pizza is really good. Their service is hit or miss. The kitchen is often behind on orders. I don't know if it's because they are shortstaffed or if it has a system that does not accommodate with the volume that they get during a lunch rush. some of the female waitress are not that good and they tend to ignore certain people. The restaurant itself isn't anything extraordinary as far as the decor or the ambience of it. With all that said, I will say that I recommend it for the food alone. I would go early. I would avoid any rush. one time I went there and I literally waited 35 minutes for a burger. With that said that burger was definitely delicious. read more

It is now know as Laylas Roadhouse. We had quite a hard time finding the place. The food was very good and the wait staff was very friendly. There were only 3 tables occupied at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night, but they had several take out orders. I had quesadillas and took 1/2 of them home - very filling. My partner had a club sandwich. The food was bad. I got the turkey club because one of the other reviews mentioned that it was good. It was terrible. It tasted burned, my bacon was burned, the turkey was the lowest quality. The sandwich was sloppy. The fries were just okay, once again low quality and no salt. No one came to check on me after I was served. I actually had to go to the counter and pay. I'm giving it 2 stars because the waitress was friendly and the food came out fast. Its more of a bat than restaurant. I will not be returning. read more

Inexpensive and very tasty! I had a slice of Mexicana pizza and hubby had a slice of Super Hawaiian. One slice was all we needed (huge!) and we enjoyed both of them very much. I had a couple of cocktails while we ate and chatted with our group. The waitress did an awesome job, getting our orders, delivering our food, and staying on top of things. It wasn't super fast, but then again, this isn't a fast food place, and the quality of the food shows that. The menu is pretty extensive, so I'd love to make it back here to try other items. read more

Stinger's is a delightful little hometown restaurant that has the feeling of Cheers. It had that warm small town fuzzy feeling. I would have never discovered this hidden little jewel in Cahokia if it were not for a friends 40th birthday and college graduation combo party. It is off the beaten path, but easy to find and a good find once you start to enjoy the food. Lisa (owner) and her staff were providing top notch hospitality. They set up a special buffet for all of party guest and kept it well stocked during the party hours. It was a simple menu; salad, Mostaccioli and a variety of pizza. I believe I had the house salad dressing, which was a flavorful Italian. I rarely have Mostaccioli, so I must say, this is one of the best I have had. It was done well with a flavorful sauce and the melted cheese. However, the pizza definitely was the stand out of the buffet. It was a hand tossed crust, a sweet tomato sauce, no provel cheese and plenty of toppings. They offered a variety of toppings, with my favorite being pepperoni. Plenty of televisions in the bar and dining area makes Stinger's a great place to drink beer, eat pizza and watch your favorite sports team with a group of friends. Waitperson did everything in her power to make things right . came in aprox 7:15 tonight with my wife. We ordered 16" special pizza without ham with a side salad which was lettuce tomatoes black olives, and chopped onions. We ordered 2 beers and water. about 45 mins later waitperson informed us that there was a delay with the pizza. THey bought us a round of beer due to the delay. 15 min later the pizza came to the table not only did it have ham on it not ordered, It was burn't all around the crust and soaking wet on the bottom of the pizza. The best part of the meal of what little ate was leaving. the worst pizza we ever ordered and all the for $35 of which was $5 for the waitperson who was great. I don't know how they got a rating of 4 stars. I would say if you want to drink at the bar without ordering food you will leave happy. Even the people at the table behind us ordered pizza and they gave it away since it was terrible. In closing do yourself and your wallet a favor don't eat here. read more

The food is average. I use to eat at Stingers more when I worked in Cahokia. Recently I've been in Cahokia and stopped for lunch. The waitress staff was very poor. On one day, the waitress picked my glass up for a refill and never came back. I finally reminder her. The following week I asked for mustard. The same waitress never brought the mustard. I went up to the counter, she said she would bring the mustard after taking a gentleman's order. Meanwhile my hamburger is getting cold. I asked her again and she said she was not going to stop taking the order. Poor service. I will not be back and will let my staff know to avoid. read more

Stingers moved to a new location. The decor is clean and modern. The dining room is huge. They now have a sports bar type atmosphere. They are closed on Sundays and short hours on Mondays. Check the website for daily specials. read more

This reincarnation of Pop 'N Pizza is as delicious as it ever was. I've eaten from this establishment over 100 times in my lifetime and have only ever had the pizza. The owner, Lisa, is very nice and courteous. It is honestly the best around and has that unmistakable Stinger's taste. 2 thumbs way up. The new location is awesome, very comfortable and classy, and the food is better than ever. This is now my favorite restaurant in the entire St. Louis area. The pizza is phenomenal, with a perfectly crispy yet soft crust. Lots of toppings to choose from. On Wednesdays they do a massive Taco Pizza special, which you can order by the pie or the slice. The other dishes are also great. Alfredo sauce is very creamy and cheesy, and the Chicken Broccoli with white wine lemon cream sauce is downright addictive. Cocktails are good. Decent beer selection. Best pizza in town. Actually, we come from out of town to get their pizza. This pizza is best enjoyed fresh - so dine if at all possible. I have tried all of the pizza places and bars within a 50 mile radius of where I live. Nothing else compares to Stingers. This is the best pizza in the Metro East (I avoid going across the river to that other state). The only knock I have against Stingers, is that they have extremely limited hours. They're not open on the weekend?! Hence the 4-star rating. Include weekend/evening hours and this will be upgraded to a 5-star rating. read more
