I made an appointment with Dr. Lyche, both for my spouse and myself to get exam and prep for colonoscopies. I intentionally made the appointment with Dr. Lyche. When we got to the room, the PA was the one who met with us. I LOVE a good PA, they are usually attentive and one saved my Mom's life! But this time I wanted to see the doctor. I told the assistant we had intentionally made the appointment with the doctor and was told "oh he's not even in the office and this is the way we always do these exams". What in the bait and switch? I have a GREAT PA in another office, who works with a doctor (Neurosurg) and when I schedule with the doctor, I see the doctor. When I schedule with the PA, I see the PA. But making an appointment with one provider and then having someone else take their place without letting you know in advance is a HUGE red flag. My husband scheduled his colonoscopy but had to cancel due to getting called back to Jury duty. I called a week in advance to let them know. I left messages for surgery scheduling team, for the doctor's assistant and finally at the front desk. NOBODY returned my call. On my 5th call, someone at the front desk finally said "Oh it's in his chart that he cancelled." (they stated the 4th date I called and left a message at the front) Ok. Nice to know. Finally, I am now trying to pay the invoice for the visit mentioned above. No one is answering in the billing department. I've tried about 10 times now. It's 3 p.m. on a Tuesday in the middle of April. This practice is terrible. I can't even imagine having a serious issue and trying to deal with this level of complete indifference. Moving my care elsewhere. Previously, I was a patient here in 2018 when I was having some issues, they performed an endoscopy on me and it took 10 weeks to get the results because no one called me back and when the doctor finally did he said something about his assistant being on vacation and that was the reason for the delay. My concerns were dismissed even though I have been leaving messages in the portal for over 2 weeks and I have a medical condition that needs to be treated. It's always a chore to speak to someone at the office and being treated rudely and without compassion is unacceptable. Dr. Simon is very friendly and I believe she is a very skilled doctor but the lack of communication and her staff is making her look very bad. Additionally, they contradict themselves when you ask them a question and two of them answer, sitting next to each other. They give opposite answers. However, Dr. Jay Guan is 5/5. He's a young, intelligent doctor that has good bedside manners and talks to you in a non-condescending way. He's very good at explaining things and working with you to understand your ailment. Overall, I would go here but the receptionists make it difficult for me to give a 5/5.

Seeing the lower reviews I wanted to come on to add some clarity and kudos where I can. Again, not always the kind of place a person wants to have to come but when navigating your healthcare needs it's important to find a place with professional staff, established doctors and an overall office that feels clean, organized and calm. I can understand some of the lower reviews for the wait times/hospitality at the main office. I've been here about three times and one out of the three times my experience was a little slow unnecessarily it felt like. But I just accepted that they were busy and sometimes there are things going on behind the scenes that those of us in the lobby can't always comprehend. I found my interactions with the front desk staff to be to the point, and while sometimes a little slow with the paperwork or getting me my materials, I still felt like it was a professional setting. On the back end all of the medical staff are really great in my opinion. The nurse practitioners that I have seen and the additional aids/surgery schedulers were all wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and I felt like my nurse practitioner was very kind and patient with me as we navigated some of my healthcare issues. I've been established with Dr. Rojany at this office over the years and he's honesty wonderful. Great beside manner, thorough, kind, attentive and makes your experience feel supportive. While my medical consultations with him have been sporadic over the years he has always been great and I would highly recommend him. I was re-introduced to him as I had to go into the surgery center for an outpatient procedure. Again, he was very kind and reassuring, and the process went smoothly for my procedure. To the nurses and staff working the surgery center next-door, I would give them 10/10 stars if that was a thing! Full transparency I'm a very emotionally medically fragile person lol from blood draws, to just being in a medical setting, I usually cry and have a lot of anxiety. Going in for a procedure where I was going to be given anesthesia was very anxiety provoking to me, but all of the staff that helped me were so kind and understanding. They made me feel safe, validated my experience, but reassured me that everything was going to go fine and just had really positive bedside manner to help get me to a place that I could calm down and get through with our appointment. There were so many lovely ladies that helped me. I'm sorry that I can't recall everyone by name, but I do think they just have an amazing stellar team here that if you have to have some Gastro follow up or procedures done this is the place to come in my opinion. Couldn't thank them enough for their kindness, care and professionalism.

I've been a patient of Dr Miller's for years and he is a consummate professional. However, it is frustrating not to be able to make an appointment. Another time I was waiting for an MRI while the technician tried to reach the office, and it took 28 minutes on hold before anyone answered! Simply unprofessional since "UNIO Specialty Care" took over. I believe it is time to seek out another practice. This group must be understaffed and way too busy.
