I want to remind everyone that the medical staff are trained professionals, and the people that work in the office are not trained licensed professionals & totally lack any kind of training that deals with customer service. The online portal is BS too because there is an option where you select "yes" to receive updates and messages about upcoming appointments. I have never ever received not 1 message in my portal regarding appointments ever in my few years here. Please like this post if you're reading this and also agree with this statement! I was completely appalled of the age discrimination I received after I had to go into the office and figure out why my prescription wasn't getting filled. I called five times during business hours, and every time I got voicemail. I don't care how busy you are at the office, I'm busy too! I have to take time off my work to drive down to the office and figure out what's going on because I'm calling five times during business hours and no one's answering the phone to answer my questions. Turns out Vanessa was blaming me for not being responsible for not scheduling a follow up appointment to refill my prescription? "Oh yeah, we called you to let you know" " you haven't been in a year" Not one "sorry this is going on" not one "hey will sort this out will help you out." Vanessa was so defensive and completely unapologetic when I confronted her about putting the blame on me about everything going on. Then, as I'm waiting to schedule another appointment, an old man comes in the office and he gets help first instead of the younger woman that was sitting there before both of us. Vanessa then comes out and talks to this old man in a completely different tone I received, and also help this older gentleman before a younger woman that has been sitting there before both of us got there. The younger women even said, pointing to me " hey we were here first?" So now what I've experienced while I was there in the office is age discrimination at this office. They cater to & have more compassion for elderly older patients way differently than younger patients. This office staff is incompetent and completely unprofessional. I will not tolerate being treated differently or receive a different customer experience because of my age. Also, I just found out they just sent my refill prescription to the wrong pharmacy even though I've been going to Costco for the past year? I wonder what BS excuse reason they have now for that happening? After years of these issues of not getting reminders to schedule appointments (remember it's my fault tho like Vanessa said) Always having issues refilling my prescriptions! every year I get the runaround pharmacy-call insurance insurance-call your doctor. Age discrimination from the office staff. (Technically this can be a lawsuit if I wanted to take that far.) All these reasons are why I actually did find a different G.I. doctors office this week. I don't care how far I have to drive! I will never ever do business with any Insite Digestive Helth center across the country ever again. Think about it, I'm in my 30's. This doctor could have had another 30-50 years of business from me as a customer. Too bad the office is at fault for the doctors losing lifetime customers here at this office If these doctors don't want to continue to lose patients I highly advise they all meet to discuss and review : -invest and improve communication of upcoming appointments or forgotten about appointments/ issues filling prescriptions All we get is a phone call from my phone number that's not the office number. Send a postcard? send me a message in the portal! I thought that's what the portal was for. We're not getting messages about our appointments in the portal. -require anti-discrimination training, including age, discrimination -also investing in customer service training specifically regarding the medical field for your office staff If you're thinking about using this facility, please run as far away from you can. If you're a former patient or a current one with issues from this office please visit the medical board of California website, under the consumers section, and learn about your patient rights and also learn how to file a compliant against this office if you need to!

I have called a total of 3 times waiting for a person to talk to. As I waited approximately 15 minutes on the phone it sends me to voice mail in which I left my name, number and doctor referral. I did this for the 3 calls with the same results. They have not bothered to call me back to this date. I have called and left messages for the past 3 weeks. Calling my primary doctor and telling him this place is garbage...

    I don't think anybody answers the phones or returns calls…read more This is my second attempt at care here. I made an appointment with Dr. Lyche, both for my spouse and myself to get exam and prep for colonoscopies. I intentionally made the appointment with Dr. Lyche. When we got to the room, the PA was the one who met with us. I LOVE a good PA, they are usually attentive and one saved my Mom's life! But this time I wanted to see the doctor. I told the assistant we had intentionally made the appointment with the doctor and was told "oh he's not even in the office and this is the way we always do these exams". What in the bait and switch? I have a GREAT PA in another office, who works with a doctor (Neurosurg) and when I schedule with the doctor, I see the doctor. When I schedule with the PA, I see the PA. But making an appointment with one provider and then having someone else take their place without letting you know in advance is a HUGE red flag. My husband scheduled his colonoscopy but had to cancel due to getting called back to Jury duty. I called a week in advance to let them know. I left messages for surgery scheduling team, for the doctor's assistant and finally at the front desk. NOBODY returned my call. On my 5th call, someone at the front desk finally said "Oh it's in his chart that he cancelled." (they stated the 4th date I called and left a message at the front) Ok. Nice to know. Finally, I am now trying to pay the invoice for the visit mentioned above. No one is answering in the billing department. I've tried about 10 times now. It's 3 p.m. on a Tuesday in the middle of April. This practice is terrible. I can't even imagine having a serious issue and trying to deal with this level of complete indifference. Moving my care elsewhere. Previously, I was a patient here in 2018 when I was having some issues, they performed an endoscopy on me and it took 10 weeks to get the results because no one called me back and when the doctor finally did he said something about his assistant being on vacation and that was the reason for the delay. For 10 weeks?
