We recently purchased the vehicle used, so was unaware of the condition on the break pads. I scheduled an appointment with Rainey's automotive and dropped off the vehicle the next day. Promptly, the mechanic personally called me, and told me that my breaks were not bad, they were about 1/2 life left, but the rotors looked like they had surface damage from being too hot. He resurfaced the rotors, and it took care of the problem. The mechanic could have lied, and told me the breaks were bad, and made more money, but was honest. Honesty and integrity go a long way in my book. I will be back! It's great to have a mechanic that you can trust! It's one of the advantages of our small town :). Definitely an asset to Lenoir! Wow what an experience I had yesterday (4/16/2024). First I went to the business and the manager…read morecame out to my car, promised me that he would drain all of the oil before adding new oil. I checked but the oil was still dark after they said they drained all the oil but they did not. They had used a power wrench to take a part off that had nothing to do with changing the oil. I asked why and the employee could not give me a satisfactory answer. When I left a lot of the oil leaked out, there was a puddle under my car. I returned and the explanation they gave me was that "things happen". I said that this is a new car and it should be easy, so why did it happen? Again there was no satisfactory answer, but the employee added 1 quart of oil and I left. It was still leaking as I was parked less than a mile away and a puddle came out under the car. This time when I went back I was mad. The manager threatened me and I raised my voice to let them know they had to fix it. After they fixed it, this time, they added 1/2 quart of oil and it stopped leaking. I am going to a third-party to have the car checked and will hold owner Joe Roberts accountable if any permanent damage is found. To be continued...
