You don't know how many times I've had to call around to get a semi-decent appointment that isn't months away, let alone an office accepting new patients *insert upside down smiley face emoji* So, I've never had allergy problems, but experienced a random bout of hives that led to further (expensive lol) complications. I was advised to find an allergist that could help me diagnose the cause, so that it never happens again. Shudders in throwback memories. Found Allergy & Asthma Center through my insurance and immediately called right away and got booked for a few days later. The waiting area was large, with chairs clearly set up 6ft apart. I only had to wait a few minutes before getting taken back to see Dr. Korff. She was very straight to the point after hearing my story and we got right to testing potential environmental and food allergies. Unfortunately, we didn't get to the root cause of that random episode, but we knew what didn't cause the issue, which is just as good. Pretty sure I'm a one-and-done patient here, but definitely recommend for those who are looking for an efficient provider office.

Do people stare? Oh, it's just me?! Doh! In an effort to avoid all of those things this year, I figured, hey let's go see a Doctor. Initially I tried to make an appointment at the Wilkens Avenue location, (they are only open on Thurs/Fri) but in order to be seen quicker, I came here first. I called Friday, my appointment was scheduled for the following Wednesday. I don't think that is too bad considering I'm a new patient. I was instructed to go on the website and complete the new patient information. Everything was pretty seamless. Location: On Gov. Warfield Pkwy, in the brown approx 6 story tall M&T building right outside of the mall nearest the entrance of the Nordstrom/Macy's. The building is fairly easy to spot. Ambience: The office is flippin huge! So much so that it can be slightly overwhelming. There are two sides to check in depending on which Doctor you are there to see, if you need allergy shots.... Staff: Check in was easy, I didn't wait long past my appointment time to be seen for vitals and the like. Dr. Neuman Sunshine was my assigned physician, she was absolutely wonderful! She had this awesome disposition, and she truly made me feel like she genuinely cares for her patients. She was very detailed in taking a history and totally took into account all of my concerns. She was easy to talk to and explained all options available to me. I'm really happy that I found this office, and will definitely be returning! Here's to being able to function during allergy season! Woohoo!

I arrived with my special needs child 5 minutes early for her audiologist appointment. The front…read moredesk woman (an older, thin Caucas woman with glasses and light hair) said she will be right with me. It took her a few minutes to get to me. That's understandable, it's a busy office. She was very unfriendly and unhappy from the get go. Asked for my ID and my daughter's insurance card, which I provided. She then told me that per my insurance, we need a referral, which I thought they had. I contacted my daughter's pediatrician and asked for a referral to be faxed over and they did this very quickly. My daughter was getting restless in her stroller. 10 minutes go by while we're standing at the front desk waiting. Then the same front desk receptionist informed me that I will need to reschedule the appointment because the referral arrived at 11:00 am instead of the 10:55 am time that it needed to arrive by. She was cold and rude. No "oh, I am so sorry"," zero empathy whatsoever. Zero politeness. She did not even bother to ask the audiologist if she would still be able to see us for our appointment today. She took it upon herself to decide that we will not be seen today. She also has taken it upon herself to cancel our afternoon ENT appointment as well without informing me of that. I found that out after I called back asking to speak with the manager and was told that she is unavailable and will be calling me back; however, I was not given a day or time frame when they would happen. I feel like we were discriminated against because my daughter is special needs. She is 2.5 years old and is on the autism spectrum. So this woman has taken it upon herself to refuse an autistic patient on Autism Awareness Day! My daughter's pediatrician called me back later expressing his disappointment and disbelief at the whole situation. This is supposed to be a Johns Hopkins facility that allows their front desk staff to treat patients with such disregard and robotic, void of empathy manner. I myself am a healthcare provider and in my establishment, we would have seen the patient. Also, our front desk receptionists would have gone back to me and asked if I would still see the patient and of course I would. Additionally, this occurred due to no fault of my own. I arrived with my child on time for her appointment. I'm still in disbelief with the way this woman allowed herself to treat me and feel like she was discriminating towards me and my special needs daughter. I took the day off work to accommodate her audiologist and ENT appointments and had to wait over a month for them to have any availability. This is an unacceptable way to treat people, especially in healthcare. I understand being a busy office with lots of patients and that there's a schedule to adhere to. But to turn away a special needs young child due to no fault of the patient or parent because of a 5 minute delay in her referral (that they should've already had) is absolutely unacceptable and outrageous. I was polite and respectful the entire time. I would definitely not recommend this office to anyone, especially if you have special needs and/or neurodivergent children.

I asked and actually spoke face to face with Dr Bonsal about it. She said she would talk to her staff and address it. Did it change? Nope continued the next 2 times I came. I also saw them be completely rude to a lady of color when she asked about the line. Which is always left side check in and for some reason that day they mixed it up. She didn't do anything wrong and should t have been treated like that. I should not have been treated like I did. I won't say they are racist but it seems like they don't want to even try and accommodate people with different names. The doctor did tell me her parents named her Cheryl since they didn't want her to have a weird Indian name. I wish she would make an effort to have a more welcoming office.

I could hear staff down the hall chatting about their personal life. After 45 mins someone came in and said "ready to leave?" I said NO I HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN YET!! More waiting. When I was seen I had to ask the practitioner to actually look at my back - one of the reasons I was there. It had been a few years since I was last seen for my skin condition and I was being given a new prescription without her actually looking at the area being treated! Nothing was written down so when I picked up my prescriptions (which said follow provider instructions) I had to call for the notes. I won't be returning.
