STOP! Do you have…read more*any* type of spine-based pain that you've tried for *years* to resolve with physical therapy, chiropractic care, pain management professionals, and/or had surgery but continue to remain in pain? Do you get 10 minutes with your current physical therapist, then handed off to a college intern to do the same 5 exercises every time you go and make little/no progress? PLEASE make an appointment to see Dr. Francis Jung at Columbia Physical Therapy In Motion. *EVERY* session you will get 45 minutes of dedicated time with him. No interns. No down time. Just one-on-one time with an incredible physical therapist. I met Dr Jung after 2.5 years in pain (about 14 months of severe sciatic pain) that left me with pain-based scoliosis. Standing or walking for more than 15-30 seconds was incredibly painful and I couldn't stand up straight. Had seen 3 physical therapists and 3 chiropractors over those 2.5 years and none knew what to make of my issue after several months of treatment. Dr. Jung was kind enough to call me on his own time after work one evening and assured me his experiences could likely assist. Dr. Jung has a kind and compassionate presence along with wisdom from years of hands on experience and tons of training. Did you know Doctor's of Physical Therapy (DPT) can opt to go through residency and on to fellowships? He was one of the first 10 DPT fellows in the state of Maryland! He will empathize and listen to your concerns and celebrate each of your successes while ensuring you get the most out of your time with him. He will challenge you beyond what you think is possible and you CAN succeed under his guidance. While not without pain, frustration, and setbacks, I'm THRILLED to report that I can now take zumba classes and am planning some large travel trips that I couldn't imagine a mere 12 months ago. The Columbia Physical Therapy In Motion team is wonderful - I would highly recommend any of the therapists for any of your PT needs, though I am very partial to Dr. Jung for any spine-based issues. Do note that getting an appointment with Dr. Jung may take a few weeks because of his popularity, but he is worth the wait. As a tip: when you call to make your initial appointment, ask to get on his schedule twice a week to make sure you don't have to wait again --- if you opt not to see him anymore, just cancel the appointments with no problems. Trust me, they will very quickly fill up.

You don't know how many times I've had to call around to get a semi-decent appointment that isn't months away, let alone an office accepting new patients *insert upside down smiley face emoji* So, I've never had allergy problems, but experienced a random bout of hives that led to further (expensive lol) complications. I was advised to find an allergist that could help me diagnose the cause, so that it never happens again. Shudders in throwback memories. Found Allergy & Asthma Center through my insurance and immediately called right away and got booked for a few days later. The waiting area was large, with chairs clearly set up 6ft apart. I only had to wait a few minutes before getting taken back to see Dr. Korff. She was very straight to the point after hearing my story and we got right to testing potential environmental and food allergies. Unfortunately, we didn't get to the root cause of that random episode, but we knew what didn't cause the issue, which is just as good. Pretty sure I'm a one-and-done patient here, but definitely recommend for those who are looking for an efficient provider office.

Do people stare? Oh, it's just me?! Doh! In an effort to avoid all of those things this year, I figured, hey let's go see a Doctor. Initially I tried to make an appointment at the Wilkens Avenue location, (they are only open on Thurs/Fri) but in order to be seen quicker, I came here first. I called Friday, my appointment was scheduled for the following Wednesday. I don't think that is too bad considering I'm a new patient. I was instructed to go on the website and complete the new patient information. Everything was pretty seamless. Location: On Gov. Warfield Pkwy, in the brown approx 6 story tall M&T building right outside of the mall nearest the entrance of the Nordstrom/Macy's. The building is fairly easy to spot. Ambience: The office is flippin huge! So much so that it can be slightly overwhelming. There are two sides to check in depending on which Doctor you are there to see, if you need allergy shots.... Staff: Check in was easy, I didn't wait long past my appointment time to be seen for vitals and the like. Dr. Neuman Sunshine was my assigned physician, she was absolutely wonderful! She had this awesome disposition, and she truly made me feel like she genuinely cares for her patients. She was very detailed in taking a history and totally took into account all of my concerns. She was easy to talk to and explained all options available to me. I'm really happy that I found this office, and will definitely be returning! Here's to being able to function during allergy season! Woohoo!

I first came to this practice on the recommendation of my primary care physician, who advised that I see a new gynecologist. Previous testing earlier this year showed that I needed to be assessed for possible endometrial cancer and possible unrelated cervical cancer. To address this Janis Logan, a nurse practitioner at Visionary Women's Health, gave me a biopsy of my endometrial lining and a colposcopy which turned out to include several biopsies as well. I've been dealing with these cancer scares for a couple of years now, and Janis Logan explained to me what's been going on with my body and my previous test results more thoroughly and clearly than anyone has to date. The procedures were painful, but she was caring and walked me through everything she was doing, and she even asked me if I wanted the nurse in the room to hold my hand when things got especially tough, which is something I had never been offered before during painful procedures such as these, and it helped to ease the situation a great deal for me. It is clear that this practice puts thought and effort into making women's health not only effective, but also comfortable and accessible (they accept my medical-assistance insurance). After the appointment, Janice Logan let me know that she would be having a follow up TeleMed appointment with me after the results were in to let me know the findings and if I would need a followup procedure such as a hysteroscopy or ultrasound. Because I was waiting to find out whether I had two different types of cancer, I called in about a week to see if the results were in and was told that not all of the results had come back yet and that someone would call me when they did, and I tried again at week two and was told the same thing and was given the additional information that it can sometimes take as long as three weeks for the results to come back. Almost four weeks later I still hadn't heard anything and I was back at the practice for another appointment for an unrelated problem and an appointment for my mother, and I requested that someone speak to me about my test results while I was there. I was told that the practitioner would speak to me about it after my appointment, and then I was given the update that she would speak with me after I attended my mother's appointment with her, and then I was given a third update that the practitioner would call me after I got home. I did not receive a phone call after I got home nor did I receive a phone call the next day. I called again the day after that to ask once again if I could speak with the practitioner to find out the results, and the person taking the call spoke with the practitioner herself and then came back to tell me that a nurse from their practice had already sent me a two-sentence message four days after my procedure was done saying that the results of my biopsy were normal and that I was to call if I had any questions. I explained that I had called several times since then and was told that not all the test results were back, as well, I did not know which of my biopsies that written message was referring to, and so I asked the person on the phone does this mean that the test results were negative for endometrial cancer and negative for cervical cancer, and she replied that she was unable to answer that question, and I once again said that I would like to speak to someone who could answer that question. She told me that the practitioner would call me before 12 noon that day to let me know about the cancer results, which did not occur. She also volunteered that I should request to speak with the head of the practice, Dr. Amy Gueye-Weinstein, to address the problems I was having in getting my results. When I had not heard from the practitioner by noon, I called to request that Dr. Gueye-Weinstein call me, and the person I spoke with said that she would have her colleague, Dr. Gueye-Weinstein, call me and also added that she would have the practitioner I hadn't heard from to call me as well. Neither of them has called me. More than four weeks later, I still don't know whether I have either one of these cancers. I also still don't know whether all of my test results are in, whether I need any additional procedures, or why no practitioner is returning my calls. Update: They had the results, which indicate that I don't have cancer, just 4 days after my procedure, which was before my first phone call. I still haven't received a return phone call.
