You don't know how many times I've had to call around to get a semi-decent appointment that isn't months away, let alone an office accepting new patients *insert upside down smiley face emoji* So, I've never had allergy problems, but experienced a random bout of hives that led to further (expensive lol) complications. I was advised to find an allergist that could help me diagnose the cause, so that it never happens again. Shudders in throwback memories. Found Allergy & Asthma Center through my insurance and immediately called right away and got booked for a few days later. The waiting area was large, with chairs clearly set up 6ft apart. I only had to wait a few minutes before getting taken back to see Dr. Korff. She was very straight to the point after hearing my story and we got right to testing potential environmental and food allergies. Unfortunately, we didn't get to the root cause of that random episode, but we knew what didn't cause the issue, which is just as good. Pretty sure I'm a one-and-done patient here, but definitely recommend for those who are looking for an efficient provider office.

Initially I tried to make an appointment at the Wilkens Avenue location, (they are only open on Thurs/Fri) but in order to be seen quicker, I came here first. I called Friday, my appointment was scheduled for the following Wednesday. I don't think that is too bad considering I'm a new patient. I was instructed to go on the website and complete the new patient information. Everything was pretty seamless. Location: On Gov. Warfield Pkwy, in the brown approx 6 story tall M&T building right outside of the mall nearest the entrance of the Nordstrom/Macy's. The building is fairly easy to spot. Ambience: The office is flippin huge! So much so that it can be slightly overwhelming. There are two sides to check in depending on which Doctor you are there to see, if you need allergy shots.... Staff: Check in was easy, I didn't wait long past my appointment time to be seen for vitals and the like. Dr. Neuman Sunshine was my assigned physician, she was absolutely wonderful! She had this awesome disposition, and she truly made me feel like she genuinely cares for her patients. She was very detailed in taking a history and totally took into account all of my concerns. She was easy to talk to and explained all options available to me. I'm really happy that I found this office, and will definitely be returning! Here's to being able to function during allergy season! He is extremely knowledgeable about his area of expertise and is always open to trying different treatments if what he prescribed is not working for you. That being said, because he is so good- he's very busy. Even with an appointment, you sometimes have to wait to a while to get in to see him. There's usually a long line at all the offices to get allergy shots. But if you're serious about getting rid of allergies, definitely see him!

He's very knowledgeable and is very honest and transparent. My husband and I have known for many years that our daughter had environmental allergies, especially to grass, and wanted to get her formally tested and get started on allergy shots. After skin and blood allergy testing, it turned out that she doesn't have traditional allergies and wouldn't be a candidate for allergy shots. I couldn't believe it since she breaks out in a rash as soon as she touches grass, but he explained the science behind it and explained that as much as he would like to take our money for allergy shots for her, she just wouldn't benefit from them. Instead, he prescribed the nasal spray and allergy medicine for her specific condition and told us what we can do at home for her. The office accepts our insurance, Aetna Better Health of Maryland, among others. It's clean, quiet, and 2 of the 3 front desk gals are nice and happy to help. The other seems like she's kind of done with you before you even start and doesn't want to be here, but she's okay.

He asked several key questions while examining me which allowed us to make a reasonable association with some signs of acid reflux and he explained the relationship to both concerns Medication he prescribed resulted in improved sleep, nearly eliminated snoring (attested to by my husband)and better digestion of spicy foods within a week. Life is better! Next, convinced my husband to seek him out due to chronic, unresolved ear infection/allergy issues for which he was treated for 2 YEARS by another ENT in area! I come here specifically for allergy shots. The process is pretty seamless. Everyone is so kind, and the staff that I see in Columbia come here too. I received Allergy shots for my Did allergies which can be overwhelming with having to come in so often but with a clean nice staff and atmosphere I didn't notice. And you don't have to wait like you get seen for your appointment time with maybe a 10-15 min at times but rare. When I first became a patient my Asthma was very serious without proper management for years. He didn't judge me or made me feel ashamed for not having my Asthma control. I could hear staff down the hall chatting about their personal life. After 45 mins someone came in and said "ready to leave?" I said NO I HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN YET!! More waiting. When I was seen I had to ask the practitioner to actually look at my back - one of the reasons I was there. It had been a few years since I was last seen for my skin condition and I was being given a new prescription without her actually looking at the area being treated! Nothing was written down so when I picked up my prescriptions (which said follow provider instructions) I had to call for the notes. I won't be returning.

He was able to clear up a big problem I had in my ears that had been going on for a very long time. I had been to ENTs all over the city with no results, and Dr. Wilkenson cleared up the issue for me in a very short time with holistic recommendations. He is very interested in combining natural healing with modern medicine and that was exactly what I needed. I am sorry he is not practicing any more. I thought he was great.
