I have to agree with their very low rating. A couple of years ago I went there for a consultation…read morefor blepharoplasty. They did a thorough exam, took lots of photos. It was denied by my insurance company because they didn't send in the photos. I called the office and they kept transferring me to the person that takes photos so I could schedule photos but I already had photos done because they weren't listening to what I was saying. I finally got to the right person and they said they did send the photos so I asked them to just please send them again because they don't have them. Apparently they sent everything in as a new claim and it was denied because I already had an open claim. They also only submitted the claim for only one eye!! I ended up going somewhere else and was successful. Fast-forward to now, I went there for a certain issue. When I made the appointment I explained what was going on and got the appointment within two weeks. So I went there and they started doing their usual checking my vision, dilation, and when it comes to the actual eye test I was having a lot of trouble because I was there because I was having an issue whether I was wearing glasses or not. The technician got annoyed with me and kept saying I was being inconsistent and that she couldn't finish this exam because I was just being too inconsistent and I finally said well I'm not here for this anyway. I'm here because I'm having an actual issue. Apparently nobody told them why I was there. They thought I was there for a check up and some glasses. After almost 3 hours I finally got to see the doctor who started talking about glasses. Again I told him I am not there for glasses and told him what I was there for. He got a little flustered started throwing his arms up in the air he's like I just don't know and said a few other things and just left. Huh? He did order a test for my optic nerve which looked fine. He rescheduled me for two appointments. So I went in today for the first one and you know what it was for? Glasses! I asked even before I paid the co-pay what I was there for just to be safe and that's what I was told. They said sometimes prescriptions can change. And I said well it happens when I'm not wearing my glasses too so I'm gonna bet and say it's not the glasses. They still tried to get me to get the exam for new glasses! They do not listen to their patients. At all.

All the surgeries went very well and my vision is great! I continue to go regularly for retinal check ups for the vitreous detachment and retinal tear. I have high confidence in Dr Rabady's skill and, he's a personable guy. The biggest improvement over the years has been that the in-office wait time has gone down dramatically. When you know you will be having a life-long relationship with a provider, it is comforting to have this level of confidence in them. Also, the office staff are very pleasant, which is a rarity these days.

I cannot imagine not being able to drive when I want to go somewhere; it would seriously impact my independence to lose my driving privileges. So, when Dr. Solomon explained how cataracts affect my night vision (seeing halos around oncoming headlights, halos around traffic lights!), I understood the need for lens replacement. One morning In 2017, I underwent cataract removal and lens replacement (all in the same morning) at GFEA's beautiful facility down at exit 16 off the Northway. My checkup the following day was without a hitch. Everyone was wonderful to me, patient and kind. I've never heard a cross or rude word at their office off Bay Road in Queensbury. I've had to work closely with their billing representative, who has a great sense of humor as well as having expertise concerning various Medicare rules. It's now 2023 and I continue to see Dr. Solomon and his staff, and I recommend them in every way. You are in not just good hands; you're in the best hands!

What's great about this place is they have early-morning walk-in hours, making it perfect for working stiffs like me who don't want to take off work for a doctor's appointment. This place is affiliated with Albany Medical College, so they often have student observers. However, they're very good about not forcing that on you if you're not comfortable with it. For instance, when they asked me if a male student could observe my last gynecological exam, I wasn't having it. And that was fine.
