the customer service is impeccable! I had an issue with one of their machines. I called their phone number after hours and left a message describing the issue. less than 10 minutes went by, the reached out and immediately resolved the issue. the staff is always amazing. I've read some of the reviews about cleanliness. However, I've noticed this to be a trend at any laundry-mat. People tend to take stuff here that they wouldn't risk their washer trying to clean. read more

Cleaner than any laundromat I have ever been to, and I mean spotless. The help that was there was more than willing to answer any questions and guide you if you showed any hesitation in using their machines. I had two large down comforters to wash and the lady, who I think was one of the owners hovered over me until I was comfortacle with the process. The cost was very reasonable for what I was going to do. Plenty of sitting room whilst waiting and everything worked. Have one more comforter to do and will not hesitate to return. This place is good for emergencies when it comes to washing your clothes. They are open 24 hours, and so far this is the only laundromat that provides this. For years I was a homeowner, so this apt living takes some getting used to. Having to go from using my own washer/dryer and being to launder at my leisure to having to bag up clothes and have cash to wash clothes takes much patience, which I'm still working on. That being said, this place is fairly clean, could use a little upkeep, but considering that it never closes, you can justify a little messiness. The do have 2 flat screen tv's, video games.and toys for children, vending machines, plenty of folding tables. It could use more seating, but otherwise it's a good option...my only complaint is that this is my 2nd time coming here to wash, and my 1st time ended with someone stealing my wet duvet comforter right out of the washer while I was in the restroom. Needless to say I was pissed, but at who? I'll never know who the thief was, so by all means watch your clothes... read more

I have honestly never been one to take the time to review companies, but after Lawrence Laundromat provided me with the most genuine customer service I have ever experienced to date - I feel compelled. This had been my first time using a laundromat, but after asking their manager for help, I was blown away by her level of professionalism and consideration. She and the company owner went above & beyond with assisting me and ensuring every single one of my questions and concerns were met. Every machine was clean; every station was tidy; every amenity was provided. Aside from the spotless facility and other thoughtful touches, the kindness Lawrence Laundromat's owners & staff exude to their patrons speaks volumes. I will certainly be a repeat customer and will absolutely be recommending them to everyone I know. read more

The staff person was super-friendly, kind-hearted, and helpful. She explained that you don't have to come back at 27 minutes to add detergent - putting half in Cup A and half in Cup B will work just fine. The machines at the back use "Universal Laundry Symbols" instead of having instructions in English. This was confusing to me, but the wonderful staff person was eager to assist. The Ozone machines at the front will get even the dirtiest laundry clean. The TVs are loud, but the remote control is within reach and I carry earplugs anyway. The equipment is in good-enough repair. I don't see broken machines sitting there for weeks on end. The environment is kept clean. The restroom is spacious and it always has TP and paper towels. The change machines always work, or you can use a credit card. I think it's the best laundromat in Lawrence! read more

3.5 It's a laundromat, so expect to see the human drama of parents ignoring their children to the god of screens and parents speaking to their children in tones not designed to bring out the self-esteem of five year old girls. But that's inherent in the milieu, is it not? As for the facility itself, it mostly works just fine and I can't think of any other local place that might be better. Located in a decent strip mall, has good free wifi, and - as noted - with some machines even running off credit card swipes, it is a close to state of the art as one is likely to find. Decent seating options, tables for folding, and little metal carts for transporting wet laundry between the washers and the dryers. Also a small video arcade and a TV. Regarding Lawrence Laundromat which is located at 711 W. 23rd St. in Lawrence, KS -- I, a previous customer (but not anymore) was treated very disrespectfully by a young man who cleans at nights -- when he found a baggie on the floor and said it was mine and told me that this happens "often" and he said if it doesn't stop, then I can't come back. I don't know if this baggie was mine but I wasn't coming in "often" (as I told him) and I had even been out of town for 10 months. He denied this and lied when he insisted I come in "often", because I had not. He also lied when he claimed he checked the camera and he said it showed it was my baggie (I'm sure it did not) -- and he had the gall to say this baggie disrespected customers. If this wasn't the most ridiculous thing I ever heard of (and untrue), I don't know what is. I never put a baggie on the floor and I'm sure the camera didn't show I did, and even if there is a baggie on the floor, it's barely noticeable and I know other customers don't care! When you look around this laundromat (on the floor), you see lots of "trash" like dryer sheets, bits of trash left by other customers, which this sorry and pathetic cleaning man doesn't reprimand anyone for leaving these things things -- but just cleans them up -- and yet he gave me grief over a baggie on the floor and threatened to not allow me to come back in if it doesn't stop. This cleaning man is a pathetic and is a liar and he totally disrespected me, a clean customer who never leaves messes. When I told him that I'm going to report this to the owner and asked how I can talk to them, he told me I can't -- that all I can do is leave a google review. As it turns out, I found at that one of the owners comes in almost every morning at 9 am (as I'm sure this cleaning man knew) and that I could talk to them if I wanted to. I chose to write a letter about this disturbing and disrespectful experience instead so I could include the details and they could refer back to my letter if they wanted to, so I wrote a letter to the owner describing this incident and left it at the laundromat office, in an envelope. I put my email in the letter so they could respond back to me, but they did not. I did go back into the laundromat one more time after this experience and lo and behold I saw a baggie (someone else's) on top of one of the large washers. I know this low life cleaning man who disrespected me saw it also -- but since it wasn't mine, he did nothing about it I'm sure. But, if he thought it was mine, I'm sure he would have given me "grief" and disrespected me again. I decided to not return to this laundromat anymore after this harassing experience and after the owner's refusal to respond to me -- but I did make a review of this at the Better Business Bureau, wherein I described this young man as being a punk, being dishonest (a liar) and a low life. He deserved these adjectives from how he treated me and from the many untruths he told me. The laundromat owner (whose first name may be "Ross") finally responded to this BBB review thru email and he verbally attacked me for calling his employee these names. He never apologized to me for the disrespectful way his employee treated me, but only verbally attacked me for calling him names, which I didn't do to his face but only in my review -- but which he most definitely deserved. This shows who the owner is and that he lets his employees disrespect customers, as I was. It's obvious to me that Lawrence Laundromat's owner values and respects his employees more than he does customers -- and that he doesn't care if one of his employees disrespects a customer. I'll never return to this laundromat again, but I think the owner is as much of a low life as his employee who disrespected me/harassed me, without cause. I believe the employee who treated me in a very disrespectful did so because he knew the owner wouldn't care. All of this very much reflects on the owner and shows his low standards and lack of respect towards customers. If the owner had any decency and respect, he would have responded to the letter that I left in the laundromat office but he did not, and this shows his indifference to how his employees treat customers. I'll never return there again, but he doesn't deserves the business he gets. He wants customers but he doesn't respect them, but rather he respects his employees more and doesn't care how they treat customers. All this reflects on the owner and how he feels about customers. read more

The night cleaning person typically cleans around 7 when it's busy. He gets in peoples' way and doesn't care. This is disrespectful. The cleaning should be done after 9 when it's not busy. I don't think the owners care what customers think, as long as he gets money. read more

Horrible. I was late just a few minutes taking my clothes out of the dryer and one of the workers took my clothes out and put them in a filthy laundry cart. Now I have to redo everything. I will not be going back and I don't recommend this place to anyone! read more

Clean, good machines, employee is in the building to help with problems. They have vending machines and arcades and a nook with kids books and toys, which was greatly appreciated. Great place and not too crowded, even on a Sunday morning. read more

Had to come here for work - had 17 loads of laundry. Although it was busy, there were plenty enough machines to accommodate everyone. It is clean and efficient. Many of the patrons did not have on masks, but the laundromat staff did. I am mainly writing to commend the staff! The young lady who was attendant while I was there could not have been more helpful. One of the patrons had the television sound so loud the wall was rattling! The kind attendant asked him 3 different times to turn it down, which he did each time . . . for about 10 minutes, then right back up! I had to make several trips here when my dryer broke down. Did my wash at home and brought several loads at once. Never had to wait for a dryer. Usually ran 3 or 4 dryers at a time. Was quite pleased that one load only took 75 cents and 24 minutes! Place is clean, bright and smells good. Plenty of folding tables. Magazines, and TVs for entertainment. read more
