He never tried to get any cultures nor did any blood tests. I was left dying. I asked him for different antibiotics because Levaquin wasn't working and it has extremely bad side effects. My tendons and joints were nearly about to rupture. I work hard labor so it was very hard. He eventually got upset and refused to see me anymore and bad mouthed me to every doctor I then encountered that had to refer to him. It turned out I have Active Extrapulmanary Tuberculosis and Morganella morganii. two very serious infections that each take a combination of 4 antibiotics. I end up facing death and no one would help me. luckily I have found a way to save myself two and half years later by insisting on a culture of an abscess in my ear that turned out to be Morganella morganii. A very deadly gram negative bacteria that Levaquin can't even phase. he dropped the ball on Tuberculosis and morganella morganii he'll probably drop the ball on many other things. he needs reviewed. he would spend very little time considering diagnosis and had no grace in doing it. He didn't care it was like I had to talk him into doing his job and beg. I think he's racially intolerant or just isn't trying to well at his job. read more

I've been coming to Dr. Sosinski of IMG since 1983 when I moved to Lawrence. He's served me so well over this time. As a family practitioner he strikes me as an exceptionally intelligent physician that listens well, has few words, but is compassionate and caring for his patients. About ten years ago they moved to a new facility and it's state of the art and includes its own pharmacy plus offices for several other physicians that are part of the group. Most of them have also been with the firm well over 20 years. The Yelp location currently listed is not correct so here's a link where you can find them: https://imgportal.lmh.org/portal/ If someone was moving to town with a family in tow and was looking for a family physician I would not hesitate a single second to recommend this business. I haven't always had great experiences with the medical community, but this physician and this organization are an exception.

He tried to opt out of seeing me from the moment he laid eyes on me because supposedly I was out of town. When do doctors not want to see patients simply because they do not live in their city but 20 miles away and this was only one of many excuses. He neglected to give me any meds for an ear infection he diagnosed after comparing both my ears. He did not ask to see my diabetic feet even though I told him about a sore on my toe. He did not want to look at the problems with my back, legs, or neck. And I was diagnosed from the hospital with decaying of the 6th vertebra of which he was informed. Is there anything this doctor does want to treat? I will do him a huge favor and look for a better doctor who will be happy to have my business.

I've had bronchitis many times and never had a doctor order an x-ray. This doctor ordered two the first time and another the second, even though I said I wasn't having any chest problems, it was an ear infection. Almost every patient I saw in there went in for an X-ray. He didn't even bother to look in my throat or in my ears. He kept asking me questions and then checking his phone for text messages. And then would ask me the same question again because he wasn't paying attention. I wouldn't recommend this doctor.

I was a new patient here during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time of my appointment, masks were…read moremandated and required in all of Kansas, where this office is located. When I arrived, no one was wearing masks. I was told that they are exempt from wearing them, and was then lectured about the death rate of COVID, that masks are completely ineffective, and that I can go ahead and take my mask off. When I explained that I have differing beliefs and good reason to wear one, I was again belittled. You could tell they really didn't want me to wear it, which is not their choice to make. Already blindsided about the masks, I then asked if the doctor could keep 6 feet from me in the room. A reasonable compromise, right? She told me we could discuss it once we got to the room. I wasn't sure why we couldn't discuss it in the lobby right then, but I later realized it was because she had no plans to keep her distance from me. In the room, she sat very close to me despite me having already requested her not to. I understand if someone is exempt from mask wearing. I get it. My issue here is that they did not make this clear to me as a new patient. Furthermore, the doctor lectured me about masks and suggested I take mine off. And finally, they did not attempt to keep distance. I felt very uncomfortable. This office should make it clear they are exempt, so their patients can then make a choice that is best for their personal health. They should also allow patients to wear masks if they choose, without making them feel wrong for wearing them. I am very disappointed with the professionalism of Midwest Dermatology. If you want to feel that your voice is valued and heard as a patient, do not choose this office.

The office here was efficient and the appointment was thorough. I went to another dermatologist last year at another hospital who was almost mocking that I was in to get checked out. She's like, "you don't use a tanning booth and don't have anything worrisome? Why are you here?" Um. You know, to not get skin cancer and to do preventative care! It was the opposite here where my appointment ran smoothly while also taking any other questions I had. So if she's accepting new patients (no guarantee), I'd highly recommend Dr. Horner. She knows what she's doing and is overall top-notch.

The front desk told other patients the doctor was running an hour behind but not me... I am giving her 4 stars because she is personable, factual and gets it done quick! Every question I had she answered directly and did not hummmhawww like some Derms I have been too. She will point you in the right direction and give you her opinion on what you should do. She will also tell you if she feels comfortable or not removing a mole or doing a certain procedure. The parking garage is a pain in the butt, no one can park between the lines. If you drive a larger vehicle you should just head right up to floor 6/7. This is considered plaza 1 but its in building 3. The nurses were all very friendly and communicative. I have another appointment in May. She is part of St, Lukes Medical Services.
