I've had bronchitis many times and never had a doctor order an x-ray. This doctor ordered two the first time and another the second, even though I said I wasn't having any chest problems, it was an ear infection. Almost every patient I saw in there went in for an X-ray. He didn't even bother to look in my throat or in my ears. He kept asking me questions and then checking his phone for text messages. And then would ask me the same question again because he wasn't paying attention. I wouldn't recommend this doctor.

In my life with my ex-husband I had no clue that I had anger management problem, during the divorce procedure including marriage therapy I learned about my anger problem and was introduced to "Harriet Lerner's Dance of Anger" it made me a different person but it was too late for that marriage and luckily the curse of love was lifted from me long before I started to think about the divorce. Today I am married to a wonderful man who ididn't know he had anger management problem and sure enough after 7 years of marriage and many many heartaches he came to the conclusion that he needs help with his anger management and thanks to his wonderful therapist, Dr. John McNeel in Palo Alto our marriage is better than before. During the tumultuous 2012, heartaches I forgot all training from Harriet's Dance of Anger and rolled back to my scary place of being angry and lower self... I could not believe and did not like what had become of me ... Then I picked up "The Dance of Anger" downloaded it on my iPad and didn't put it down until I finished it! Wow I did it again! I Changed myself again, from a bitter, de-selfed, and angry woman to a much calmer, more together, and happier woman whom i actually like!!!! X2 MS

They have refused to refill some of my meds that are for a lifelong illness and have been inconsistent with my husbands mental health medication which is quite dangerous. It seems they are holding it over out heads to make an appointment, but we are doing fine with CONSISTENT access to our prescriptions. It's also not the time to make unnecessarily appointments... Ultimately, it's okay if your in a pinch. But don't expect speedy responses or general accessibility. I know covid is making things a bit bumpy, but the least they can do is make sure we have our time sensitive medication without having to tell them face to face that nothing has changed.

Dr. Gebremedhin is an endocrinologist specializing in diabetes and metabolism disorders. I was…read morereferred to him by my neurologist, who is in the same practice, because we've been trying to pinpoint the cause of chronic fatigue that I've experienced for much of the past year. This is a condition that can have many potential causes, including lots of endocrinological ones! I've been very pleased with Dr. Gebremedhin -- he's a good listener and very patient, taking what seems like all the time in the world to go over symptoms and getting a thorough picture of the patient's overall health and everything that may be going on with them. He ordered LOTS of tests, some fairly exotic (the phlebotomist at the lab I used had to call their main office to get the codes and instructions for some of them because they're uncommon). The results came back and I saw Dr. Gebremedhin to find out what they were. Again, he was very patient and thorough about explaining what the results mean. As a result of the tests it was possible to rule out numerous causes of the fatigue I've been experiencing and narrow it down to only a few possibilities. I've started treatment for one of them and feel confident that we're on the right track to figuring this out and getting back to being my usual energetic self! I particularly like that Dr. Gebremedhin is being conservative about prescribing and isn't just throwing meds at my symptoms. I'm currently taking quite a few meds for other conditions (like they say, aging ain't for sissies) and really want to keep it all down to the essential minimum. Meanwhile, I'm going to give this first treatment a try and will be returning to see him in a couple of months, hopefully with good results to report! If you want a careful, thorough endocrinologist, I can recommend Dr. Gebremedhin. You can see more about his background on his website. Dr. Gebremedhin is originally from Ethiopia, but also trained at Loma Linda in California before coming to Kansas City. He does have a bit of an accent, but speaks slowly and clearly and makes sure you understand everything he's saying. I'm very pleased to have found him, and, as I said, I'm feeling very encouraged that there's a solution to this very annoying fatigue issue!

Dr. Suber is an excellent doctor who cares about patients and takes the necessary time with you…read morerather than rushing you in and out. Her staff are friendly, professional and efficient unlike many practices in town who seem to care less about patients and drop the ball when it comes to personal attention and professionalism. The practice is small enough that you get the individual attention you need while offering ancillary services such as lab work on site. They offer electronic check in using a tablet where you can even pay your bill by swiping your credit card as well as a patient portal where your electronic record can be updated and checked. My only complaint being the fact I that after one week I was not notified about whether or not my lab work was complete, causing concern over the results. I was so excited to find a direct care provider that didn't take insurance. From what I had heard…read moredirect care meant a bit more free thinking and open minded from the pressure of big pharmaceutical. Boy was I was wrong here!! Before being released from the hospital after my baby was born I had to have a follow up appointment with a pediatrician. My baby was less than a week old when we were seen here. The doctor did the assessment which went fine. However as soon as she was done she asked "does he have all his shots" I said no and the whole tone changed. She became incredibly irritated in tone even slamming her laptop closed when we tried to explain our stance. I actually started crying in the office and she said to me " are you going to tell me why you are really crying or will you just say it's after pregnancy emotions". My husband and I could not get out of this place fast enough. I was so traumatized by the treatment, and still think about it to this day and get sick to my stomach. I cried for days after and believe me have told whoever will listen! A friend ended up finding a pediatrician in Topeka who truly lives by what I expected from direct primary care. Who treats me with respect and never pressures my stance. So I cannot recommend enough, if you are an outside the box thinker DO NOT COME HERE!
